I love those shelves Hefty! They're perfect. I use a lot of media shelves (the ones for either CD's or DVD's) are those the same?

Do you have a picture of your entire collection to share? We love to oggle!! :o)

I do need to update photos of 'the room' will post soon...
Thanks!!! yep these are media shelves! I discovered them when I needed a set for my Blu Ray collection, very inexpensive($30 per unit on Amazon)...The rest of my collection is all in storage currently, I plan to get 2 more units next month and I'll definitely post more/update the thread when I do! I can't decide if I want to display some G4 stuff, more G1s, or what, definitely going to devote at least 3 shelves to HQG1Cs!

The irony being they're from the 90s. I often think sets like theirs and the Rockin Beats are 80s wannabes, they try so hard to be hip ;)
Lol , yep, they are from teh 90s, but they definitely give the 80s vibe ;)

Your shelves look great, though I admit I have a deep desire to grab the fakie and remove it somewhere o.o.
Thanks! and Awwwww. my poor RnS is really hapy with her friends Tux  and Ice Crystal...she hold a very special place in my heart and collection......That side of teh shelves is a amalgam of ponies anyway, lots of customs toward teh bottom and I also plan to have some G2s join Hip Holly...

I dun even know if I have any pics of my collection. Even if I do, though, I suspect they may scare people. It's more like a tardis of ponydom than a beautiful display. I have no space :/
I'd still like to see it! I bet its very intriguing!!!

Ohh your collection is just gorgeous Hefty! Your display looks so tidy and I'm squirming with jealousy over your DBs and your Cascade and your baby dragons and your care bears! :good: :frolic:
Thank you!!! These are some of my most prized ponies! DBs are definitely faves, I wish I could display more of them but they will have to wait until I get more shelves, because there's only room on teh top shelf for them :D

Ooooh so pretty! :) Your display looks super super great!

(will come back to this once I have my new glass cabinet cleaned and decorated :D)
Thank you! Looking forward to seeing your collection!

What a great collection, those shelves are perfect! They fit everything in perfectly without it looked overstuffed. I’m super jealous of those dragons!
I’m glad you started this thread! I’m in the middle of ripping everything up and reorganizing my shelves! Hopefully this will be motivation for me to move a little faster and get some pics up! :P
Thank you! The dragons hold a special place in my heart! I appreciate the compliment saying it looks tidy, I spent a lot of time arranging everything "just so" he he
Glad I may have inspired some  motivation! :D
What an amazing collection! So many cuties like the rollerskating ponies!! 😍✨👑🌈
Thank you! The Roller skating ponies are like so totally 80s!!! :frolic:

Hello Everypony!  After a recent renovation I was forced to finally organize my collection of Rare and International G1s, this is not all of them, and not even but a 1/4 of my nearly complete collection of G1s(with some customs mixed in for good measure, as well as Care bears and Smurfs), but anyway I was so pleased with the inexpensive shelving I found and to finally be able to properly display my collection, that I had to share! :D <3 P.S. If there's any you'd like to see close ups of, or have questions, please don't hesitate to ask

What about baby-size shells ? That would be amazing ! :frolic: A nice and fitting way of displaying them. :D
In the meantime, I would vote for the seashell as well. ;)
I LOVE this idea! :frolic: I'd be ALL over some Baby-Sized shells!!!!

I am telling myself I don't need the ones that look like Dabble and Scribbles because I have Dabble and Scribbles and I also have no money for pony stuff really at the moment.
RIGHT? I keep telling myself teh same thing...deep down I am also telling myself that's not going to work...lol ah teh pratfalls of being a completist...

Does anyone know what the official name for the Christmas baby girl is? I know it's Holly something, but I've seen a couple of variations and I'm not sure which is the 'right' name for her, heh.
The Teeny Tiny Baby is "Holly Berry", the Christmas boy is "Candy Cane" :)

Rainbow Rocks, IMHO is by far superior indeed, its one of my favorite MLP things out there, I watch it at least twice a year and I have teh soundtrack on rotate in the old fashioned CD player inn my car...

Not sure where teh "Q" came from in EqG, but its a preference for me now as well, looks odd just saying "EG"

After the renowned Maryland Pony Meet was forced to close its doors to new attendees in 2014 due to too much interest and too little available space, we are pleased to announce that due to a contract with a new venue, we now have space available –though very limited— for those who wish to join in.

The Maryland Pony Meet began in the spring of 2003, with many of its original and early attendees still coming year after year. Hosted near Baltimore, MD, the meet consists of a number of one-of-a-kind games, contests, activities, buying/selling/trading tables, a potluck and pizza lunch, a raffle, MDPM merchandise, and other surprise events.

The 2019 meet will be held 30min north of Baltimore, MD on May 4th, for attendees age 18 and over.

For more information, please send me a message 🙂 Thanks

This thread is so much fun!
Currently all my ponies are in storage as we are in teh midst of a renovation, but I take some of them out every chance i get to brush hair or take pictures of newer ones visiting the herd. When the renovation is done anyone is welcome to handle my ponies, brush hair etc etc....I'm buying new shelving units for all my ponies and am excited for the renovation to be done for this very reason of displaying!

I agree on being careful with customs of course, but even they are allowed to be handled gently :D

Finally finished it.
It's so good! I think I found my new favorite animated series of the moment (sorry Tangled Adventures, still love ya).
I miss Tangled already, wish they would stop changing the title of teh show, makes me scared my DVR will miss it again!

It's a lovingly done series. I can't wait to get more seasons!
I agree, a lot of attention to the old series and teh comics and even mini comics was paid. this to me is an acknowledgement to teh fans...

A M E N brother. Omg I have developped such a hatred for people, especially grown adults, who nitpicked this show to death starting from the very first screencap. There is constructive criticism and being wary of new things... and then there is gatekeeping and the wish to see certain things stay dead instead of getting a fresh new look for a new gen of children.
I'm trying so hard NOT to hate these people who have such vitriol and disdain for something that more than half the time they haven't even taken the time to actualy watch. I just don't understand all teh energy put into hating something? Its a hard concept for me to grasp, closest thing I can think is my disliek of the new Thundercats Roar series, I dont hate it but if I did its not something I would spend more than 5 minutes on, I move on with my life. I mean I HATE football, so I don't even waste time knowinng teams or watching or paying any mind to sports news. Why folks invest any of their tie in something they don't liek is beyond me...

Besides, I've seen some of those figures. They look cheap and poorly done. I've not seen Matel's offerings yet.
Are you talking about the 2 figures Super7 released? if so I agree with you, otehrwise there haven't been any otehr releases in regards to toys..

Same.  I was watching a video game "review" of one of the Zelda games the other day and all this guy's complaints basically boiled down to . . . "It's not like the Zelda game I played when I was seven!  Things CHANGED!"

NO . . . really?  Things changed in the 30 years since you were a child?  Someone decided to try something different?  Truly that is shocking.  And to think no one consulted you, random angry geek.  How dare.  You sure showed them by making a whiny Youtube video.
E X A C T L Y!!! Change is so hard for some people, heck its hard for me, but its a part of life and hwo we adjust to it is a decree of our character imo...
