Great job on her! Especially awesome work on the symbol! I've been trying to figure out how best to do that on the Mimic I've been working on...I was figuring on trying to free-hand it, but I'm sure that will take 8 million attempts before I get it right! I couldn't get the neon RIT dye to take on my HQG1C blank. I boiled her for about an hour total, and I think I used half the bottle of the neon yellow and a little bit of the neon green. She eventually came out about the color of G1 Minty. I've been sunfading her to get the blue tints out of her for months. I think I need to do a quick dip in some standard yellow dye to get her shade right. Thanks for sharing her and your process to make her! Maybe it will motivate me to finish mine.

She's really the only grail pony I'm after right now! I found her about a year ago at a vintage toy shop, but didn't want to pay $80 for her. I'll probably have to settle for making a custom, if I can ever find an HQG1C blank base to make her out of.

I have her baby, but not her. I'm not a fan of her pose, and she's really hard to find in good condition, so I doubt I'll ever get her, but it would be nice to have the mom and baby set. Maybe if Basic Fun makes her, I'll get her.

Oh, I want her, but it is just not within my budget to spend even a fraction of what she is going for on one pony. I genuinely love her green color, and the odd, quirky mix of her hair colors that shouldn't work together, but somehow do.
I wish I could just borrow a Mimic for a few days, so I can get her color right for my custom HQG1C I've been trying to match to make her. I'd be satisfied with a custom if only I knew the color was spot-on. I don't do FBRs, and working with dye is tricky when you actually HAVE a pony in hand that you're trying to match...it's nearly impossible when you don't!

I live less than a mile from a small airport that does tourist plane rides to bring in extra income during the nicer months. My house is right on the river, and it's probably quite pretty from the sky. So as early as 7am some mornings, I have to put up with low-flying airplanes over my house, waking up my kids. It's actually frightening sometimes...I've been outside and they sometimes fly so low they almost graze the tops of the trees.
I second the complaint about 'fresh' country air. My next door neighbor tries to grow a garden every year--I don't know why, because we live in the woods and don't get any sunlight, and he is unsuccessful every year. But he keeps trying it, which wouldn't bother me but for the fact that he dumps a bunch of manure on it, and it's right next to the property line, so it's a lot closer to our house than it is to his.

I put 'it varies' because I switch from side to side all night, but I don't ever sleep on my back or stomach. When I was pregnant I could only sleep on my left side, or I would get nauseous.

Eesh!! I've had Tupperware get wrecked in the dishwasher, so I can't imagine what it does to 40-year-old vinyl. Washing machine, maybe? But either would probably make the hair feel gross.

Her colors are a little 'meh' to me. But I like her pose. If I found her in great condition like the one pictured, I'd be hard pressed to resist her.

I have Sundance. She's really yellowed and stained, but she was a childhood pony, so she's not going anywhere. I remember ordering this set from the mail order pamphlet and being excited to get them. I don't know what ever happened to Megan; my mom knew not to throw any ponies away, but (what looked like) a random doll was probably fair game, especially if she found her way into my sister's Barbies or something.
