To be fair, if it's a live auction it isn't the sellers that are driving up the prices....while I know that there ARE plenty of sellers out there that think that Peachy is worth 10X her regular price and have a high starting price or BIN you can't blame the sellers on the going prices when people continue to pay it.

I picked them up a few weeks ago at Target in CO...you are not that far away so I would imagine you should be seeing them in stores soon!

If only I was still there! :D

That works a lot better for me. I'll have to take less time off work this way (my shift isn't actually over until 530). It will be easier for me to do the 3 o'clock, sorry to miss out on the games. :(

I feel so late in the game...I've been offline for about a week. A later room time would work better for me too, since I have work that day, but I don't want to inconvenience everybody else.

I will be shipping someday this week, as soon as I can make it to the PO, moving has taken up all my time. FYI I have no internet at home for the next few days, but I'll check in when I can.

Wow, Ivy, how old is your site? Brought back some pony surfing memories there!

Looks like I'm going to have to take mine off as well, I just couldn't get her white again with heat. I think I'm going to see if her hair can be saved...if not I may go the bait option if it's going to take that much work and her symbol will be removed anyways.

Pony Corral / Hair Stylin'!

So I am a tom boy. Hair straight or pony tail only, thank you. So aside from very simple tastes I am at a loss on how to style ponies. I actually prefer them that way, but it'd be nice to see if I could do something 'more' with some ponies. Any tips or hints you guys could share with me would be awesome! I'm particularly interested in more 'up' styles with pins/clips.

Thanks!

I was actually worried about how my collection would go over when my BF and I started dating. He knew I collected, because I've always kept a couple at work (and now much more than a 'couple') but he's a minimalist and I have, well, a LOT of ponies. It was pretty gradual since he and the kids moved into my place, so the ponies were already 'there'. I keep most of my ponies in storage bins, so they were tucked away, and I was still on a long hiatus from pony collecting. Sure, I'd look if I 'happened' to be at the thrift store, but nothing active and no customizing. Then I thought I'd go through my extras, put some online for sell, maybe even downsize...then dang you arena and showing me the G4 line!! I swore I was only going to get AJ....oh, yes, back to the BF.

He was surprisingly supportive when the 'fever' of collecting returned. He goes to our local thrift store all the time with or without me on the hunt and was so proud when he brought back his first G1 find. He asked for a list of the ponies I didn't have that I was still looking for at Christmas and bought me every G4 on it he could find...and all the blind bags I wanted a month ago or so. He thinks its cool, and he loves that I can take a manky pony and turn it into something beautiful. He is such a keeper!! Although, he admittedly can't wait until we move so that all my craft stuff has its own room as right now it's pretty much everywhere.

'Loud and Proud' here too, even more so since I started decorating my desk at work so extravagantly. I had a manager ask me if I could pull off a Mardi Gras theme last month and everyone jokes that we wouldn't know what time of year it is without the pony desk. The people I work with are really great about it, my family not so much. They all think its pretty weird, in particular my mom and sister, and are generally not supportive at all. My BF has been surprisingly cool about it all and often thrift store shops for me. His kids also love hunting, and his daughter thinks cleaning them is a blast!

So I had some extra hair colors on hand so I came up with this girl. I wanted something with a St. Patrick's theme and came up with this girl. I like how her symbol turned out, but I'm in love with her tail. I didn't blend the colors really and its nice how they stand out in the braid.
