Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Re: All the pretty horses

Ooh, beautiful horses!  :inlove: I love Friesians too! I fell completely in love with them the first time I saw them in real life! I have lots of Breyer horses, but don't have many other brands. I guess I do have some Peter Stones, Barbie horses, a couple Grand Champions, a Blue Ribbon, & She Ra horses. I'll try to take a few pics.

Taffeta, that is so awesome to get a MIB Baby Northstar at a reasonable price! It's hard finding things at good prices nowadays. I hope I can find one someday. I love Italian boxes, but I prefer the US box since that's my childhood one.  :)

NightgliderSA, beautiful pic! They look so precious together!

Wow, she looks awesome now! You'd never know it's the same pony. You did a great job fixing her up! I had a MIB Sugar Sweet in the 90's, but sold her back then. Oh, I love Sunset Shimmer too!

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: How have you sold or shipped playsets?
« on: September 26, 2018, 07:45:10 PM »
I bought one Paradise Estate online a long time ago and it was shipped to me and it arrived okay with nothing broken, but it had discoloration so I didn't want it and I met up with a pony collector who wanted it and gave it to her for free. She was not very close to me, but in the same state, and I arranged to take a trip to her city and personally delivered it right to her door. Then, I bought another (absolutely mint, complete Paradise estate with box) from a local pony collector (yay, no shipping involved) and later on (sadly) sold it and shipped it across the country. It was like 15 years ago and it cost a fortune to ship even then. It might have cost close to $100 for shipping and the box, but I sent it by UPS, not USPS. It arrived fine. I used huge amounts of bubblewrap and spent a lot of time packing it carefully. I still have my childhood Paradise Estate, but would never part with it. If I need to part with it though, I'd definitely give it to a local pony collector. I don't ever want to ship that again. I tthink it is best to find someone local if possible. You can post on here to find someone local or see if there are any pony meetups in your area coming up.

The USPS box size for when it becomes oversize is actually incredibly small! I just shipped a large throw pillow and they charged $43! UPS or Fed Ex always seems better for huge packages.

Pony Corral / Re: What's your favorite baby sea pony float?
« on: September 26, 2018, 03:49:39 PM »
I'll say the frog, but I also really love the turtle and the duck. Those three are the only ones I had as a child (Water Lily, Splasher, Sea Star, Celebrate and Wavy) so they are my favorites.

Oh no, that is so awful, lovesbabysquirmy. I'm so sorry that happened. That is so upsetting the water caused so much damage and even made your neighbor's ceiling come crashing down. :( That is horrible! I hope no one was hurt. You and your family are in my thoughts.

Crowning_Glory, I think that is a great idea to start a weekly goal. I might try that too about listing what I want to do in a day or a week. Making lists like that can be helpful. I agree habits are really hard to break and make. That is so great you were able to break the fast food habit! I know that must have been so hard and frustrating with how long it took.

Yes. Loose and MIB. I used to have her in an Italian box but sold her :(
I'm always sad when I've sold a pony and then I wish I had her back, especially a special one like that. I wish you could find her again.

I have two baby Northstars from my childhood. I really wish I had her MIB. I do have her box. I wish I had her little gloworm! Most of my childhood pony accessories were given away to a friend long ago. I wish I'd kept more accessories. That gloworm is one of the cutest accessories ever. I loved Baby Northstar so much as a child that I wanted two of her so she could have a twin sister. Here's her and her twin:

Cherry Treats  :), but I also especially love Confetti and a few others. For G2's Eve. For G3s Sweet Summertime and Sweetsong. For G4s Fluttershy and Maud Pie.

Pony Corral / Re: 35th Anniversary Collectors Shelf- Warmers
« on: September 25, 2018, 02:22:15 PM »
At my local stores, one has no retro ponies whatsoever, the other has three Snuzzles and a Minty, and most other stores have rainbows, but only an occasional 1 or 2 collectors. I don't really consider any retro ponies shelf warmers. I think it's the Care Bears who are the true shelf warmers.
