She's not the most exciting G4, but she's pretty cute, and serves as a reminder of how many original characters appeared early in G4, and how we should've gotten so much more.

I'm REALLY glad to see new ponies this gen, but I'm still pretty concerned that the classic brushable pony doesn't appear to be the standard and they're still going with the tiny molded hair action figures for the main line. Brushable hair makes the recoloring definitely less obvious.

She's not one of my favorites. I don't like her painted-on accessories, and her colors don't do anything for me.

Don't like the big light on her chest, so I don't want her, but she's alright otherwise. I have to say her symbol is gorgeous though!

I really like her! She's like a spiritual successor to Fizzy! Her pose is one of my favorites, I wish it was used on more ponies.

Do you have any ponies that you've given new names, either as a child, or part of your current collection?
I gave some, though not all of my G3's new names as a kid.
My namesake, Mrs. Prospector, was my name for Lolligiggle as a kid. She was named after Mr. Prospector, a prominent sire of racehorses whose name I overheard while watching the Kentucky Derby as a child, just because I thought the name was funny and reminded me of Stinky Pete from Toy Story.
Triple Treat was Candy Larry. I named a bunch of my toys Larry as a kid. I don't know why.
Rainbow Dash was Charlie Horse. At the time, I had no idea that a "Charley Horse" was a name for a muscle spasm. I just really liked the name Charlie.
Star Catcher was creatively, Pegasus. When I got Twirlerina, she got upgraded to Queen Pegasus and Twirlerina was King Pegasus.
Flower Flash wasn't labeled on the packaging with Petal Blossom, so I named her Baby Blossom. When I got a duplicate with the Skywishes music box, that one became her twin, Baby Petal.
Most of my babies I renamed, albeit very uncreatively. Butter Drop was Baby Cookie and Sandy Island was Baby Bucket.
Brights Brightly was Sunrise, Royalette was Sparkles, Royal Bouquet was Rose, and Pretty Pop was Gumball.
Crystal Lake was Twinkle Twirl, because I confused her for Twinkle Twirl for all those years.

The ponies just get smaller and cheaper looking with every generation, don't they? Unless Hasbro steps up their game, the only ponies from this gen I'm interested in so far are the styling Sunny and Izzy.
Also, I just noticed that their cutie marks are so far down on their flanks, and they're scaled so small. It looks so wrong! And on the brushables, they have less colors than the official designs do. Hasbro should be embarrassed that they're pumping these fakie-quality toys out.
The unicorn party set emphasizes the weirdest thing about this generation so far--that even though Hasbro is marketing unicorns like crazy, there's only one unicorn in the main cast, and Alphabittle's the only other named unicorn in the movie. You'd think with the unicorn craze that all the toy companies are jumping on, there'd be greater unicorn representation in this gen.
And why does Izzy need two horns?

I just never understood why "everypony" was a thing in the first place. "Everyone", "everybody", HOW are those words human-specific?!? Ponies have bodies!! It just sounds so weird and forced to me, it's unnecessary. I'm annoyed to see it show up in this gen, too.
I honestly agree. It was cute at first, but then it quickly got into weird territory with the School of Friendship arc and how they kept using "everycreature" to refer to non-pony creatures. That honestly made me cringe a little. Just say everybody, dangit!

Izzy! I love her cool colors and her long, curly mane with the beautiful gradient. The reveals so far make it seem like she's gonna be a goofy, eccentric artist, which I love as well. Being the only unicorn in the group also helps!

- Pegasi live in Zephyr Heights. I believe another source said unicorns were from the Bridlewood Forest. So the locations in the movie we know so far are Maretime Bay for the earth ponies, Bridlewood Forest for the unicorns, and Zephyr Heights for the Pegasi. I quite like these names, and the glimpses of the backgrounds we've seen so far. Much better than "Manehattan" or "Las Pegasus"
- The pony on the far left of the picture activity appears to be a new character, as she doesn't match any members of the current cast. Perhaps she's the white pegasus with the purple mane on the far left of the advent calendar? And maybe she's Zipp and Pipp's mother?
