I've seen them at dollar general, Kmart, CVS, and Walgreens before. I don't recall if there was a difference in price though...
Were they with the toys or another location? Post Merge: May 06, 2014, 05:42:29 PMI just recently found a whole slew of them at my grocery store! And they were the cheapest of any place I've seen them. I think I'm going to go and grab a bunch for anybody who's looking.
Is it a chain store? Were they up front? Post Merge: May 06, 2014, 05:42:51 PMI'm having so much trouble finding!

Where have you been able to find blind bags other than Walmart, Target, and TRU.

Mostly from Taobao but they are showing up on ebay a lot more now. I'd LOVE to have a White Celestia to my collection soon!
I'm sorry I've not been active in a few years. What's Taobao?

You can avoid duplicates you don't want by looking for the codes on the bag. The earlier sets were numeric, but the most recent sets use letters.

In my area the availability varies. They have tended to be hard to find at first, but after awhile they tend to turn up. Of course the favorites in each set disappear the fastest.
Oh thank you so much!!! I had no idea. Post Merge: May 06, 2014, 03:32:21 AMDoes each box come with one of each?

I think quality matters too. You can get them for less but they may have more problems. Mint/really good condition can be expensive (IMO).

I actually have a ton of AJ merch! I'm in the process of making a plush review guide. It will be a while before it's done but I'll post it when it is. I can also take some in hand pics of some of the merch if you're interested!
I would love to see! Can you post here in the thread? Especially the G4 brushables

Guess I need to stalk the strawberry reef site for information. Seems like it's the go to place.

I know there are the really rare ones like the first fair pony, but what are the more common hard to find ponies?

I want to collect cards. Can someone tell me the difference between the trading cards and the game cards. Which would be better to collect? Thanks

Y'all, do people just collect the cards and not play the game? Just wondering because I'm interested in collecting them, but I don't have any to actually play with at the time.

I bought my first blind bags today. I didn't get any of the same pony but I want to know if there is a lot of trading happening for these little guys and gals. Is it realistic that I could be able to complete sets by purchasing locally and trading duplicates? And how hard are they to find. I went to walmart, target, and TRU to find no ponies. Only my second Target stop had any! Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the additional information. I'm going to make me a list and get busy hunting! I do like that there aren't a ton of variations because u feel like it will be easier to get them or I won't have to buy so many to have them all. When I first started I was buying almost every g3. It's just not realistic for me to do that now and so I picked a g4 that I really like! You all have been so helpful. I appreciate it so much!

Oh wow! Thank y'all so much! I am so excited about this. It looks like some of the brushable figures are the same just released with different accessories. Am I correct in this? To tell you the truth, I feel so lost. I had my first baby three years ago...actually was 4 weeks pregnant at the 2010 Pony Fair and have not been actively collecting since. I did not really care about the 3.5, so it wasn't a big deal, but now I'm getting interested in the FiM show. My son is showing interest now too, so I'm trying to learn more about G4. Thanks for all of the help.
