I was an only child, and I bonded very closely with my toys. That's probably why I have so many toy collections as an adult. I did not have a large amount of toys in the 80s since my parents did not have very much extra money to spend then, but I got a lot more in the 90s. I kept my toys for a long time, and the ones that have stayed in my collection through adulthood remain in very good condition. I never cut the hair on my ponies or dolls

I haven't been collecting for long so my grails might not be as grail-y as yours, but I am always on the lookout for any of the characters from My Little Pony Tales. Living in the US makes it hard for me to find them and when I do they are usually pretty pricey and require me to pay a lot for shipping. Currently the only one I do have is Melody.
These took me a very long time to complete, and Melody and Bon Bon were both grails for me for quite some time! I'm thinking it took about 4 years to complete that set?

There are a handful of G1 ponies that constantly elude me: Baby Sea Princess, Beautiful Bows, and Baby Buttons are the main ones that come to mind. I'm also focusing on Sea Ponies and I know that the rest of the Year 3 sea ponies are going to be tough to get. Price-wise, the expensive ones I want would be Ice Crystal, Nightlight and Sunburst, and they never seem to be available when I have the money on hand to buy them.
