Thank you for compiling all of this information and keeping up with it! The South African ponies have been so mysterious to me, I'm happy I was able to learn a bit more about them. I hope more continue to be found and shared; I love that there are so many international ponies, and that discoveries are still being made.

With all of the languages in South Africa, I wonder if these ponies ever had names in these languages, or if the English names were used by default. It would be so cool to find out, especially if they do have non-English names!

@Leave a Whisper : I feel like if I had no other Venezuelan ponies but her, I'd be perfectly content. She's so striking and fun!

@Taffeta : I have never heard that song before, but it made me chuckle aloud, I loved it! It's probably going to be stuck in my head for the next day or so, though.  XD

And what's this about European Lickety-Split with the darker cones? I've never heard of this before, but this is the second post I've seen with a specification of the cones' colour. Do you have any pictures?  :D

@Leave a Whisper : She really is! I was originally planning to sell her, but as soon as I saw her in person, I couldn't bear to part with her. So, she's all mine!

And thank you!

Pkw, I didn't even notice the blue until I read this, and now I love it even more! I'll have to find her one day, even with a pegasus head.

And thank you, I don't even know how I managed to find it, but I was so fixated and determined that I just kept hunting until I was saved by the Finnish blogger who had the foresight to save and post a screenshot.  :inlove:

Maybe someone on the Arena has some more photos of her, either saved from the listing or otherwise. It would be so cool to see more of her. I wonder who has her now?

Because it's fading with LIGHT... like in real...
So when the camera tryies to capture light on those hair, she just cannot handle the tone and fade it
This color is doomed.

 XD

And thank you, Safflower!  ^.^

I recently began selling (just through eBay for now), but I use USPS First-Class Package International Service for any international shipping. Here is everything I researched beforehand to help prepare myself for international shipping (it's been extremely easy so far):

Spoiler
*The USPS offers a tool to calculate shipping, and you can estimate the cost to different destinations for a variety of different services.

*It is important to remember that, for the most part, this First-Class International Package Service may only be used for parcels up to 4 pounds; anything more will have to use the next available service.

*This service would be the one used for bubble mailers (I use boxes for mine for added protection). As far as I understand, anything that has a thickness over 1/4 of an inch is considered a parcel, and so would have to be sent using this service.

*You are allowed up to 36 inches in combined length, width, and height/thickness for a package using this service.

*The weight can slightly alter the shipping cost, so it would be worth it to invest in a scale to have an accurate weight. This is also important for the customs form that must be attached to the parcel, as the weight of the contents must be listed in addition to the total package weight.

*The USPS also has a tool for generating a customs form to print out and affix to the parcel.

*They also have a page with links to information and tips on preparing international shipments in general.

*Further, they have information on individual countries since prohibitions, restrictions, standard practices, and the like may vary by location.

*Tracking is possible when a package is shipped to certain countries; so far, tracking information has worked extremely well on all packages I've sent to Canada, Belgium, and Spain.

*If you create an online USPS account, you'll be able to use the Click-N-Ship tool to generate a shipping label and a customs form, as well as obtain the tracking information when applicable.

*I would imagine theoretically that stamps may suffice to cover the shipping cost, but you may sacrifice access to tracking, and it will require a lot of stamps for an international parcel. It's easier to pay online and have the postage accounted for on a printed label.

*The lowest starting price for international shipping that I've seen with this service is $10. For Canada, I have seen anywhere between $10 and $16 (depending upon package weight and size). I haven't shipped to the UK yet, but I believe the starting price is at $14.

*The customs form is extremely important; weight and value especially must be accurate. Citizens of other countries often have to pay fees based on the value of the contents of international parcels that they receive (which is something I didn't know, and I haven't heard of this occurring in the US). This value does not include the shipping cost. So, for example, whatever someone pays you for one of your ponies - let's say $8 - is the value of the parcel. Nothing more, nothing less.

*On that note, for the First-Class Package International Service, I believe that you are not allowed to send anything valued at $400 and over.

So! That's a lot of information, but I believe it's all important and relevant. The Click-N-Ship tool will basically guide you through the whole process and set up everything for you, and the postal workers will be able to help you as well. I've done it several times, and I have yet to have a problem or be confused about what I'm doing. And all of my packages made it to their destinations safely.

I hope this can help you!

@ColdRuru : It's so tricky! I'm very much a novice with studio-style photography and controlled lighting, too, and I didn't realise how difficult it can be to get certain colours to show. It's fun, though; I usually like natural lighting and little or no editing, but I'm learning to enjoy being in control of many elements and using digital tools to my advantage.

And thank you!

I managed to snag this one recently; finally got her all clean. Her hair is a great deal more pink than I was able to get to show in the photo, but I can't resist showing her off just a little bit anyway. Now my Chief and Wigwam have another friend from their year!

You're welcome! I'm happy I was able to find them after so much digging. I love Colombian Baby Bow Tie's hair, the mix of gold and white.  :)

Wigwam was mine, and I still have him! He still has a short tail that's frizzy beyond hope, choppy neck seam where I took him apart kind of roughly for cleaning (I was younger and inexperienced), a nearly-sheared forelock, and a poorly-angled cut to his mane (when I was young, maybe 6 or 7, somehow I did not understand that his hair was nylon and would never grow, so I gave him a haircut, showed my mom, and then went into hysterics when she explained to me that his hair was stuck that way and would never grow back ). But I think he's great and he'll always have a special place with me.

I recently got an upgrade of her which was a pleasant surprise, as I wasn't particularly looking for her. Her hair isn't really faded at all; it's so pink! I just have trouble photographing it, so I don't have a great photo of her to reflect the pink in her hair.

I think my favourite variant of her is the white Venezuelan version that I saw on My Little Wiki (which says credit goes to glacia471). I love her colours and vibrance.

I was never really a big fan of the So Softs, and always planned to deflock them if I ever received any (I've got a Hippity Hop that I'm going to deflock since her flocking is patchy and kind of dirty). But, now they're starting to grow on me after seeing this thread and all of the photos. A couple of years ago, I received a gift SS Posey from someone in Canada; she's pretty bright and soft, and I think she's in pretty excellent condition, flocking-wise.
