Pony Corral / Re: G3 Pinkie Pie/Rainbowdash Hybrid Plush
« on: July 01, 2019, 07:29:37 AM »
Yes she’s supposed to be like that
She’s one of the three squashy washy plushies!
Colours say pinkie, butt says rainbow dash! I have no clue why, on the tag it doesn’t mention a name, but there is also a pinkie pie with her normal symbol, and a blue rainbow dash (just pink hair).
I hope this helps,

Have her! She took me ages to find, but I got one on eBay last year!
Here is a picture of her with the rest of her set, she was the last one I needed, and they all look so pretty together! Her blue is unlike any other g3!

She’s cool! I love pearly ponies!
But she reminds me of the g3 fakies that are shrunken down versions of the original moulds, like the sparkle fakies, and also the McDonald’s ponies! The g1 eye on a tiny g3 body looks a little odd to me! I always thought that pose had an odd neck! Still, it’s nice to see something g3 ish pop up!

Zapper, she looks so much better like that! I would 100% get her if that was how she looked, it looks a lot more natural!

Pony Corral / Re: G3 Tail Rust
« on: June 19, 2019, 01:42:56 AM »
Yes, most are metal, but there are some plastic washers! I’m working on a list of plastic washer ponies for my website, so I’ll post tit here when I’m done  ^.^ even if they have a plastic washer, I wouldn’t submerge them, as they could still get mould. I’d wipe them down or use a magic eraser (careful on painted parts!) when you wash their hair, towel dry the top of the tail straight afterwards :)

For your sanity’s sake, I wouldn’t remove any g3s head if you don’t need to. Some of them are near impossible to get off! Even the ones with turning heads are a nightmare! If they have no sign of rust, I wouldn’t recommend it! It will only develop if the pony is submerged so I wouldn’t worry if they’re not going to a swimming pool! In my collection of  g3s, I’d say one in 20 have it, so it’s no where near as common as in g1s

Out of the ponies you have, precious gem has a plastic washer  ^.^

I hope this is helpful!

Pony Corral / Strawberry Swirl hair variant
« on: June 14, 2019, 02:22:28 PM »
Hi everyone! I just wanted to share this variant I found at the car boot sale, I haven’t seen her documented anywhere so I thought I’d post here  ^.^

My original one has straight, more purple hair, while the variant has curly, much more pink hair. The paint is the same and the hair is very *used* feeling so I don’t believe she is faded or curled.

Here are pictures, and feel free to vote in the poll so we can see which version seems more common! Let me know if you have more than one too!

Awesome finds! You did awesome! Love the lps poodle especially!

The mouse is a Polly pocket pet and the bunny is a kinder toy from 2007/8 ish? They did another set in different colours a few years back, but this one is from the original set I believe  ^.^

May I ask about the prototype carriage you saw? I’m intrigued!

I apologise if this has already been posted, but the unicorn and pegasus set is on the smyths website! All out of stock but the description has the right names so I don’t think it’s a mix up!

Does anyone know where to get bubble’s set in the U.K.?

Wow! She looks like a factory error, as you say with the tail hole being so oddly small! Could the hair be from tipsy tulips hair clip?

Pony Corral / Re: Mold help needed
« on: May 22, 2019, 04:44:57 AM »
I am so sorry to hear what happened!

For cleaning the mould off, use anti bacterial wipes and wipe over the ponies. It should come off without problems, and should kill it off :) they have worked for me on furry mould, white mould, Brown mould, and black mould (don’t know what the types are actually called). I haven’t had it come back on anyone I’ve cleaned up. For their hair, give it a wash with washing up liquid/dish soap (also antibacterial) and then condition it to soften it back up  :)

All the best, and sagain, sorry to hear this happened

Pony Corral / Re: First year flutters, second year wing fixings...
« on: May 17, 2019, 03:36:53 AM »
RoseNoire, here’s a pic of the wing tabs, using a bit of Xmas tree to illustrate the wing tab  :P the 2nd year ponies have the open style, so you can see the wing tab (or tree in this case). The original flutters have the closed in type, where you cannot see the tab :) I hope this helps, interested to hear how your flutters wings are!

Ah! So yeah, it’s looking quite possible that there are the other two with 2nd year wings! It’s hard to tell, but if you google ‘my little pony g1 lily’ the 3rd image (site is Ron’s rescued treasures) the lily looks as if she also had the open wings.

As for the head variations, I am absolutely rubbish at telling the difference, so here are all my flutters next to each other. If I can help with anything else let me know :) in real life, I’d say the forget me nots look the most different, the dark one seems to have a thinner head, but it could just be the colour difference. In the picture lily looks like she has a very wide head, I can’t tell!

No problem! Yes it makes sense that there would be one too! I got her years ago, maybe 2015? I was 13 so I don’t remember much, but I can’t recall the seller saying anything about her, and she was only £1.50! My first flutter, and I had no clue she was different, I was just chuffed to have one  :P all except a forget me not (another ponycon) have been found in the U.K. too.

The curls are lovely! They look so pretty! And yes, I can’t say I’ve got any with hair that curly! Just one big curl or a bit on the ends, seems odd that only your 2nd year wing ones have the same type of curl though, but then peach blossom doesn’t, really interesting, I love variants!

I have a Peach Blossom with the second year wing fixings :) I believe her hair is straight although I think I got her at ponycon so a collector could’ve washed her hair, but there isn’t much of a suggestion that it was curly originally. Strangely, all my other fluters are curly so I’m honestly not sure.

I checked over my other 1st set girls, (all of whom are curly) and all (even doubles of honeysuckle and forget me not) have 1st year closed fixings? So peach blossom is also affected, but no clue on the other pose!

I apologise for uploading this so so late! I completely forgot to post it! Here are the three of them :) I will try and do the other two draw togethers too! Believe it or not I did this a couple days after this thread was made, better late than never eh?
