For a moment there was talk of the Flower Fantasy ponies being reissued. Is that dead?
I believe so, as they are no longer showing up in the internal 'incoming product' listings apparently  My assumption is that the all-over body printing may have been more difficult than Basic Fun anticipated?

It's only after reading these posts that I realise how odd it is that Spike has ears! I just never questioned it before haha Interestingly G2 Princess Silver Swirl's dragon friend also has ears (and wings!) so same species? I propose that Spike (and the aforementioned dragon) are a sort of ' domesticated' dragon breed - kind of like in domestic dogs/cats we humans tend to breed them to have features we find cute ( https://www.dogwalkersmelbourne.com.au/articles-dog-walking-pet-sitting/71-dog-neoteny-puppy-love ), so Spikes' particular kind of dragon may have been bred to have ears (along with large eyes and maybe small stature?) for this reason, because it's cute and emotive to ponies/humans haha. You could also add in that (in animated canon at least) he originally lived with Scorpan, who was a prince, and royalty were the ones to first start breeding regular dogs into lapdog breeds (see Pekingese and Italian Greyhounds) so you could make that connection also? Idk, that's just my theory haha

Aww haha thankyou! I've been working on them but progress is slow between Xmas preparations and getting sick  I love those! If only hasbro would bring back the G1 ponies but with different designs and colors! I am 100% sure they would sell like hot cakes!
Thankyou so much! I really feel they would, but Hasbro seems reluctant to directly make anything G1-related (using the original sculpts at least) themselves, and defer it to third-parties like Basic Fun... Makes me wonder if they no longer have access to the facilities needed to make G1/2/3 ponies (considering G4/G5 aren't as hollow-bodied and a different plastic type)?

Hi everyone!
How's things going? Any new purchases? Discoveries? Projects?
For me, I went to my first ever IRL MLP meet up! It was so fun and we even talked about G2s! It seemed to be kinda popular in Australia until they stopped being sold, but that may be me skewing word of mouth data! (I was even recognized for being a "keen buyer" in the Aus/NZ FB group)
Also I bought some missing accessories, twins Moondust/Stardust and Spring from the G2 FB group!
Oh my gosh there are IRL meetups over here? I had no idea! I've been in this hobby since 2004 and never been to a single IRL meetup because I didn't think they were a thing here! Also G2-related, my recent poll on which set concept I should complete next included a G2 set, so you can expect them in the future!

These are so nice! I'm surprised I haven't seen them before. I really like your art style at the beginning where the drawings look a bit like the Italian stationary set I have. If Merry Marshmellows are what I think you have in mind (a winter theme?), I vote for those.
Aww haha thankyou so much! I'm trying to cover all the G1 styles I guess haha! I hadn't actually thought of the designs beyond the gimmick and individual pony names, so your idea of a winter theme is something I can definitely do! Also, to let everyone know, I will be closing the polls next Friday!

Ahhhh these are so cute! Not really familiar with the cereals (we don't have them here either) but I love these designs. Fruit Brute is my favourite ^^
Thankyou so much! Fruit Brute is probably my favourite too haha, I really like her colours! I love these! I’ve had count chocula before but I never really got the hype. Tasted kinda meh to me.
And yeah, speaking as someone who works with blender, it can be hard to learn. I would definitely advise looking at tutorials online, since blender is well documented. And good luck with rendering! That’s where my computer always trips up too. I swear I should cook food on my computer while I render, since it’s already working at full steam anyways.
Ah ok that's interesting to know! I always imagined it would taste a bit like the Milo cereal haha Yes, I particularly struggle with learning new programs too unfortunately, I can't just learn from tutorials, I need to constantly ask questions and since apparently blender recently updated and changed its' layout, it seems difficult to find anyone that has a better idea than I do (that's also willing to be bombarded with questions) Ah thankyou! Apparently my PC doesn't have the capacity (something about the graphics card?) to render efficiently so I have to update it, thus why my fiance is doing rendering for me in the meantime haha. When I was in Uni the 3D animation students would often sleep in the computer labs overnight because their stuff was rendering, and the lecturers used to give out tips on where they wouldn't be visible on the cameras...! Wow! That's incredible and I love it. So glad you kept going. You must be so proud.

🎃HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 🎃 The cumulative effort of an entire month and at least three days of crying as I struggled to model a box in Blender (I cannot overstate how terrible I am with 3D), the help of my wonderful fiancé for doing the final renders (my poor PC couldn’t handle them!) and a lot of sleepless nights, I present the CEREAL MONSTERS! General Mills' Monster Cereal mascots, designed in the Monster High Skullector style! I envision them as being scented, and I'm not sure if I managed to correctly illustrate but the cover for the box is a 'slide' cover over the main box, so you can open it without damaging it haha. Originally completed in 2020, I only managed the three main monsters but I always thought I’d come back and finally finish this project to a level I’d be happy with, and then I got the idea of actually modelling the boxes and it sort of snowballed from there 😅 (On a final note, I’m Australian so ironically I’ve never tasted ANY of these cereals, we don’t get them here! Our final ghoul and the only one whose box doesn’t match, as all of their boxes are based off of their first release and Yummy Mummy here released in 1988 when the boxes were all done in this style! She’s another I’m very proud of as its’ more difficult than you’d think to turn just bandages into an actual outfit! 😅 Aand that's all! I hope you guys enjoy them, this was the biggest personal project I've ever completed and I am quite proud of it haha!

I'm waiting for the MH Creeproductions to reach AUS, and I'm looking forward to S4 Tweens as well as babysitting tweens Ivy Winks.
Apparently we aren't getting the Creeproductions over here unfortunately. IG friend emailed Mattel and the rep told him they won't be distributed over here
