I am pretty much powered by tea, either PG Tips pyramid bags, brewed for six minutes with a moderate amount of milk, or Twinings lapsang souchong, which I leave to brew for a good long while to get it as smokey as possible. I also like herbal tea every now and again, particularly sage and lemon myrtle, or a nice lavender blend with rose and valerian. As for coffee, I used to drink it a lot - double dark roast done in a French press was the best! - but a couple of years ago, it started to make me feel a bit ill, and neither milder blends nor decaff helped. I can still enjoy those milkshake style coffee drinks as an occasional treat, though.

She's new to me and she's cute, but I wouldn't actively seek her out.

I most recently got hit very hard in the emotions by an acoustic session to mark the 25th anniversary of Panzer Dragoon, partly because of the beautiful music and partly because seriously, where have 25 years gone?! It brought back a lot of really nice memories; the Panzer Dragoon series has always been really important and influential to me, and it's nice to see that it's still remembered and loved after all this time.

I'll pass, none of Firefly's incarnations appeal to me.

I stumbled upon a lovely little almanac in Sainsburys today; books with daily morsels of knowledge are my one true weakness, and this one has musical notation for sea shanties in it! I'm very much looking forward to learning to play those on the tin whistle. Whether anyone else will enjoy hearing them is another matter, of course.

She's new to me and I'll pass. That colour scheme isn't my cup of tea. :/

My ray of sunshine for the day has happened just now, while making cups of tea - it's mostly freezing at work but the heating is on in the kitchen and it's *so cozy!* I get to enjoy the warmth for the next few minutes while the tea is brewing.

My laptop has bricked itself in the few minutes it took me to go downstairs and hoover the living room. I'm trying some methods on the HP website to fix it, but to be honest, given the sheer amount of bother I've had with it, I am questioning whether it's even worth trying to save it. Apparently there's no hard drive installed...
Your hard drive might be on its way out. I've had my hard drive die on me & it wasn't fun. I hope all your files are backed up xxx
It looks like that is what's happened, as I reseated the hard drive and when the laptop detected it, it mentioned that the drive had failed. I also heard some clicking noises which are never good. :/ Some of my files are backed up on USB sticks but I've definitely learned my lesson and will be a lot more thorough with backing things up in future!

This video of a cuddly herdwick sheep made me smile today; it's very calming and I absolutely needed that after the past couple of days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYxOZOlLW0o
