Oh, man. I'm a collector since the late 90s but I'm not hardcore enough to try to get my hands on a literal OOAK. I'll leave those jewels for the collectors that would appreciate them far more than I. Still, I'll enjoy their photos and have a little pony-envy.

What's the story with the SA ponies? Are they rare because of the fairly isolated geography, limited factory runs, or most just not fairing well over time? (I am pretty much  ignorant about them.)

At least 15 years ago I was on a "cutting-edge" email news group list. Yah, I just dated myself. :p I was there when the first White Windy popped up and everyone LOST THEIR MINDS. Pony Collecting history is a beautiful thing to look back on.

Thank you so much! You've made my life easier, this would have taken me hours and hours trying to figure out prices, it's bad enough trying to figure out what I should pay for a regular pony.

Ok, so for the clarifications, I used http://mylittlewiki.org/ to find all of these:

Argie Powder v.1 - Pink body with white hair in Glory Pose. Blue non glittery snowflakes as symbols.

Greek Moondancer - All of them, lol. There were four listed, I REALLY like the one with the blue/green hair: http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/G1_Moondancer

Greek Glory - Yellow hair with blue stripe. Lilac eyes. And I suppose also Pink hair with purple stripe.

Greek Twilight - Definitely the one with Yellow hair with blue stripe and blue body, also Teal hair with yellow stripe & yellow body. I can't decide if I like the ones with the orange body or not.  :P

French Windy - blue body and lavender hair with a bright yellow streak, and blue body and dark purple hair with a golden yellow streak, they are pretty similar I guess

Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH! This is incredibly helpful.

I've got this thing for unicorns and I recently went through the MLP Wiki looking at all the variants and came up with a list of unicorns that I'd eventually like get. Over time... Years, I'm pretty sure some of these are worth oodles of money, and all together, gads. If anyone can help me out as to how much I should expect to pay for these lovelies (in relatively decent condition, they don't have to be minty) I would be grateful.

It's a pony museum/gallery! That's intense and good work on the setup. :)

I had no idea they came in two versions. You'd think I would have noticed since half of mine are apparently the Hong Kong version.

Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it!

I still haven't gotten any good quotes for the puppies yet, I know they can go for quite a bit when compared to the regular sets. I've seen some of the adults from the nursery sets go for a ridiculous amount but most of those that I've seen like that have been the blue and pink cats, I haven't seen anyone selling the dog sets so I don't have a good baseline for worth comparison.

Someone on ebay has been trying to sell one of the puppies for a huge amount of money for quite some time, no one is buying, and they are very slowly lowering their price. They started around $80 as a buy it now, which seems crazy to me. I saw someone on the forum once who was advertising buying at $50 a pop for the nursery families but I don't know if they meant for a complete set or per individual. I saw someone quote for complete sets, with the cribs and all go for well over $100. Someone else on the forum sold the Spaniel from the Nursery Families Scrub-a-Dub-Tub set for $75 in 2012. Someone else sold the Sudsy Angora mom and one baby for almost $130 also in 2012.

But that is all from old outdated forum posts. I need up to date info.

I've always had the impression that the Nursery family sets were quite hard to find.  But I don't know how much they actually go for.  More than the "usual" families, though.

For sure! Somewhere in this forum I know there's got to be someone who's got the low-down on the worth of these guys. If I based it on what I see on auction I'd be afraid of over-pricing. Auctions can get ridiculous.

Oh dear that's unfortunate. I had no idea they could burn. I wonder what happened? Did this happen through the paper towel/tinfoil cover you had over her?? Update on Merry Treats and the rest of the ponies? Masquerade looks amazing!

I had her all covered up with paper towel and then on top of that I had foil. The burn didn't happen through the paper, the paper was actually the only thing surrounding those circles. The circles were where the blue sharpie was. She looked just fine last time I posted her photo but I could still see a slight blue shadow and thought I could take care of that... And then she burned right on those spots.

I've added a couple photos to the main post.

The regular adults I would price around $5 (a little more if their condition is great) but the Nursery families are a lot harder to find than the regular sets and the prices I've seen on auction are often quite a bit - but I want to get it right. :)

Here we go. She's got 5 little circles of burn to the left of the cupcake symbols. But, the blue sharpie marks are all gone.

Gusty is one of my all time favorites and she just looks so much better it makes me all warm and fuzzy.

I'll post Cupcake soon. I have to run an errand this morning but when I get back I'll post her.

Also the acrylic did no damage to her glitter symbols (I just used a warm washcloth to remove it).

Wow! You are brave. :D

I am ashamed to say that I messed up beautiful Cupcake. :/ She's now got a couple lovely little circles of sunburn where I tried to "get the last bits" of sharpie. I'll post her tomorrow it I remember. I figured I should probably admit to my failures as well as the successes.
