Pony Corral / Re: Where is everyone buying their G1's from these days?
« on: April 27, 2017, 07:41:38 PM »
I have only ever found two G1s at the thrift store. I have had the best luck price-wise with the Arena and Kijiji/craigslist. People on kijiji/craigslist don't sell them for as much as ebay sellers.

My friend puts on a local toy show and I attend every month--I just bought Bow Tie, with one  pony cancer spot, for $15 :/ Not my best decision, but I figured by the time I paid for shipping here in Canada-- that's about what I'd be paying if I bought her online--and she was right there! It felt almost painful paying that, especially since I was selling my ponies for much cheaper prices. I was actually cleaned-out my last show because I was selling my ponies at such good prices.

With limited finances and space, I'm only collecting specific ponies online these days. I might check out the local thrift store here soon though, I'm feeling the itch!

Nice haul!

Those sitting plushies are so totally cute :lovey:

Thank you! I like them a little better than a lot of the standing ones. I got them at party city. I checked pinkie at a couple of places online and she was 20 and over, so I am super glad I got them for $12 :)

Thanks for commenting!

Very cool and very nice trailer.

I'll have to look at the amazon link.  :)

Thank you for looking! :D I really appreciate it ^-^

I'm totally not stalking you on goodreads now or anything...

Hopefully one day I'll get to reading your book. I'm a HUGE book nerd and the book sounds so amazing. Also, the trailer is awesome!

Writers love stalkers! :D

Thank you very much for your compliments! It means a lot :)

its very vague, but that's what makes it interesting! Nice job on the trailer itself, your book seems to have a solid premise.

Thank you! Yes, it is vague. I didn't want it to be too long or give too much away about the characters. Thank you for watching and commenting :)

Oh, how exciting! :frolic: Your trailer looks and sounds nice and your premise sounds interesting.

Thank you so much for the compliment and for watching the trailer! I really appreciate it  :lovey: I've seen some pretty amazing book trailers out there, but I'm not an animator and hiring actors seemed extreme-- plus, you want to leave an impression and let people imagine it for themselves. So thank you again, your comment is encouraging!

Sorry I haven't gotten it up guys. I have had s lot of personal stuff going on such as my sleep meds and antidepressants ran out and the doctor took his time not filling them. My meds have worn off and I've just been a mess unable to sleep and really down. I'm also fighting to get another rescue animal in here as the poor thing is in bad conditions.  I know they aren't great excuses but it's just kept me tired or dead to finishing other things. I'll start getting it together as I want the voting done before I start the Valentines one. It looks like because of my slow start that one will run through Feb.

No worries at all :) I was just worried I missed it. Take your time and take care of you   :good:

Some of you may know I'm an author. Well, exciting news! I premiered my new book series trailer not to long ago. I made it myself, so it's not amazing, but check it out and let me what you think ^_^

Pony Corral / Re: MLP In National Geographic
« on: January 10, 2017, 04:41:47 PM »
Media segregation annoys me so much. As a little girl I adored Sailor Moon, but I adored Dragon Ball Z just as much. They're often seen as the two sides of the coin, but I loved both. People assume I'm a guy all the time when I chat about Dragon Ball online. I always identified as a tomboy, but even so I loved MLP and Care bears, but felt like I couldn't share that because I was a tomboy, and tomboys couldn't be that girly. It'd be like destroying my own identity by being myself, as weird as that sounds. Then when I did come out of the pink closet, I felt bad liking masculine things like I was going back on myself. It shouldn't be an issue. Kids should be allowed to like what they like, without feeling like those feelings are wrong. Grrr, society!

I was a Tom Boy as well. In fact, if my Barbie's weren't mermaids, they were eaten by dinosaurs. I played with more dinosaurs, alien toys, and creatures than I ever did "girlie" things. I had a short hair cut when I was a kid and when I was real young, mistaken for a boy because I hung out with boy, sometimes wore boy clothes, and new a lot about xmen, spiderman, and DBZ, in addition to the aliens franchise and Jurassice park :D
