Pony Corral / Re: Who is your favorite G3 baby?

Keen Bean & Honolu-loo  just gotta love those white bodied ponies with bright colorful hair! These two are too cute.

Great display, prancingstag!

Gee these do make a perfect front rank with regular G1s behind, nice and visible.

Hey I've never seen majesty's crown before, is it HTF?

I agree Ponyfan, G1 Twilight would be amazing! or a Merry-go-round or any brother.

Thanks!! Majesty's crown was an accessory that came with the Dream Castle, I don't think it's too difficult to find although her damsel hat from the same playset seems a touch more common.

Updated, getting back into collecting ponies finally... :frolic:

I went back and got a couple more. Ended up with two Fireflys and a Minty. Happy to have that one Firefly, but now that I've got two doubles I don't know if I will try my luck any further. And DARN those rates on the clear glitter exclusives are annoying!! I love the look but don't think I will ever get any. Here's Firefly, Running Press Firefly and TLS Firefly. This makes me wish that I had Firefly's Adventure in the Surprise body pose, because TLS Firefly definitely takes more after her or the RAMC animated look than the original G1.

Anybody up for rehoming these two little pretties?

And a group shot of everybody on the top shelf. I really love the six commons they chose for the first wave, it's a nice variety of species and colour schemes, and definitely appeals to the nostalgia.

Ended up going back today and getting four more. I pulled Applejack, Minty, Glory and Princess Sparkle! So psyched not to have pulled any doubles, but now I've got five out of the six commons, which begs the question... do I try any more blind luck, or just outright buy the others I need? :P The store had five boxes left on shelf, I might leave it a while till next paycheck. I now wish that I had a desk at work so that I could put some ponies on it, these little guys are so cute and cheerful and look amazing when put into a dynamic pose. I'm hoping these do well so that TLS produces future waves, hopefully complete the original six ponies because I would adore a Butterscotch, and start on some other beloved characters. Imagine Gingerbread and Mimic in this style! And if they managed to do actual gem eyes for them!!

Somehow ended up with a small family of Glories now. If/when I get TLS Firefly I'll be able to take a picture with her pony form and Running Press book figure too. My Glory unfortunately has the weak legs mentioned by a few other people - the holes on her legs are a little too big and don't "pop" snugly onto the pin joint, she had two legs (one front and one back on opposite sides) floating loose in the foil packaging when I opened her. One other gripe is that the trading card with backstory is packaged inside the foil bag, and has been curved/warped around the pony in all of mine. Some of them are okay to gently curve back the other way or flatten out, but Glory and Princess Sparkle's cards have been actually bent and creased. Anybody who buys these guys loose online, please don't jump to blaming sellers for damaged cards because mine came straight out of the box in less than ideal condition. I don't think there's any way around it though, it's just an unfortunate side effect of them being put in the same narrow space.

Spied these guys in Australia (at Zing collectibles store) and picked up a box on a whim, pulled Sundance. She's very cute and happy to have her as I don't have her actual pony self yet. Here she is on the shelf with some friends. :)

Think I'll go back and poach a few more boxes, they're only $18 so not too high of a markup I think. And those clear glitter exclusives!!! WOW something is finally pulling me back into actively collecting MLP!!!

Price Check Archives / Re: PC on flying Twilight Sparkle from playset?
« on: August 03, 2017, 03:07:42 AM »
Ah, Princess Twilight from the Crystal Princess Palace. She sure was a funny little variant, I don't think there's any harm in customising her as she doesn't seem to be very desirable.

I only saw maybe one or two of them in hand back in the day. Rainbow Power had notoriously terrible distribution, especially the later sets. I want to say that this FS pack, the other pack with FS Twilight with rainbow paint on her wings, as well as other sets like the second wave of the snowglobe princesses, the train set with Fluttershy, the spa set with Star Dreams, and the second Mrs. Cake set, were exclusive to smaller discount stores in the US only and were very rare to find at the time, let alone now.

Updated, just Pinkie left.

Just out of curiosity, did they ever produce the smaller size of plush for these guys? I remember a few years ago seeing photographs of prototypes being displayed at a convention/fair of some kind being very excited about purchasing the small Fluttershy, but I never heard anything more about them after that.

Did this just the other day with a coworker - she said the orange one, so it was an easy "Applejack!" :P

Hello, and welcome! I'd like to move everything off to new homes as quickly as possible, so if there's something you want, drop me a line! I'm open to similar value trades from my wishlist, I'm willing to combine shipping, and I can do holds as long as you give me a definite date for payment to be made. I take payment through paypal. I have conducted a few trades on the Arena, and my ebay ID is "prancingstag08" if you need further feedback. Items come from a smoke-free home. I have two cats and two dogs; they are not allowed near the collection but some fur transference may occur. I clean/brush everything as well as I can before it leaves my possession, but please be aware that allergens may still be present, and purchase responsibly.

Anyway, onto the ponies! Collection items have just sat on display or been kept in storage, and went unplayed with in my possession.

The Loyal Subjects MLP G1 vinyl figures - $15 each
Brand new, just opened to check which figure it is. All come with original box, foil bag and character card.

G3 Mini Giant / Pyjama Plush Pinkie Pie (destuffed) - $50 incl. worldwide shipping

Pinkie Pie
Pinkie Pie - a children's toy along with Sweetie Belle prior to entering my collection. Definitely the worst condition of the four PJ pals I have, that little girl loved her Pinkie plush! Has original tush tag. Embroidery overall in good condition, some extra pink thread on the bottom of the non-display side eye. Fur of the mane/tail is much rougher and kinked than it would be as new. Body is overall rougher than new, with multiple marks and stains. She feels like she's been through the wash a couple of times. Some pilling of the felt on the eyes, symbol and hoof heart. She has pale orange/brown dirty marks above the NDS eye, under the chin, on the NDS rump and on the DS thigh, brown flecks below the hoof heart, and a small bit of red that I think may be nail polish on the NDS chest. I have not attempted to clean off any of the marks in the years I have owned her, they may or may not come off. Her back zipper has taken some damage. The pull pin of the zip has broken off and been replaced with a metal ring by the previous owner. Her zipper is in better condition than Sweetie Belle, but still pulls a little jerkily, I have only opened and closed it once to check upon purchase. There is some chipping of the pink paint on the zipper head.

Pony Corral / Re: What's your favorite pose? pony in that pose n why?
« on: April 21, 2017, 03:55:58 PM »
I love both the Bow Tie pose and the Crumpet pose, they are pretty much mirrored versions of each other anyway. Cascade and Seaflower are my favourite reps. :)
