If you are refering to G4, I choose the cartoon. After all if the cartoon wasn't so good, we would still be lamenting changing G3s to the "mouse-deer ponies".
MLP already has so much diversity I am happy with collecting some things that I like from every gen. I would like to eventually have one pony from every mold.

Would you rather have all of the green ponies ever made or all of the pink ponies ever made?

Susie, Katie, and Billie have baby animals in the same mold, as well: Spot, Kitty, Bunny. So I view them as the same line. Sometimes you might get a few things wrong have a different opinion. ;) You mods are very gracious and kind. Thank you for taking the time to explain. ^.^ I would like them to be re-categorized someday. *jumps off cute soap box of bunnies, kittens, and puppies*

I haven't bought any of these for a year or so. Some times they are harder to find than others. The price should be the same.

Haven't read it. Do you remember anything about the illustrations or even what the book looked like? That might help some people remember.

Pony Corral / Re: Show me... G1 Merch!
« on: April 12, 2014, 09:07:58 AM »
So neat. I love seeing all the original merch. I love that Mien Kleines Pony sign/mobile. The magnet stickers look like so much fun. I would have loved that.

Hathorcat, you are right about how we underestimate how popular MLP really was back then. All that merch and it didn't even benefit from the internet, fan-art, adult fans, etc. It was just kids like us who loved it. I was born in the 80's so I was too young to see 80's MLP in it's hayday. It was super popular. I even found an old book in the library at my college. It had a whole chapter about MLP, it's marketing, public reaction to the brand, and it's influence on children. It had Barbie, Ninja Turtles and some other brands as well. MLP was one of the very first tv cartoon series designed specifically for girls. It also talked about how Hasbro was using cartoons to market toys, and how some people felt about that. It was very interesting.

These are not Off Topic! These are official Hasbro MLP! Just as much as Oakley the Moose, Spike the dragon, or any other MLP animal.
:enraged:
Sorry, I collected these as a child, and they had MLP horseshoe points, and MLP flyers with mail order ponies, and a backcard story about how they came over the rainbow to live in Ponyland with the ponies! Putting them in off-topic seems wrong. Please, please move them back.

*Ok rant over*

The babies can be worth about $5 each. They can go as low as $3 or as high as $8-$10. I would love to buy them all, but can't afford to buy much right now. I'd be interested in the walking yellow dog, and a few of the bunnies. I have McDonalds ponies for trade, also, if you are interested.

Hola Raquel! I have a sister named Rachel and we grew up in Puerto Rico so she was called Raquel in Spanish.  :) My favorite ponies are Nightglider, Icecrystal, and Sunglider. I hope you enjoy the custom boards here. The creativity amazes me.

I kept my Glitter Belle MIP until I noticed her washer was starting to form tail rust! When I took her out she was all sticky. She had spent the summer in a Florida non-air conditioned storage room. I think that sped the process. I removed her tail washer and left her on the shelf.
A while later I noticed the absence of glitter. At first I thought I had accidentally washed it off.  >_< Now she has no glitter and is more of a pinkish color. She is still a nice looking pony. If you don't mind how they look without glitter I would definitely get one. If not I don't know that I'd spend alot of money on it. If anyone ever re-glitters theirs successfully I would be interested in seeing it.

I have a good number of photos of pony hairstyles me and my sister did back in high school. Here are the first ones. I'm not going to say how long ago that was...

I think my sister styled my lovely Italy AppleJack.

This was my entry in a MLP hairstyle contest hosted by a member of the MLPTP back in the day. Behold the Queen of Ponyland, my childhood pony "Crystal"!

This is advanced technology. I used the scanner to create the images. :haha: We didn't have a digital camera at that point.

I pretty sure my sister won the contest. I don't remember.
