I love Desert Rose! She's so delicate and pretty. Congratulations.

Pony Brag Arena / A great kick-off to flea market season!
« on: March 30, 2013, 01:53:28 PM »
So I wandered over to one of the nearby flea markets today, not really expecting to find anything. But lo and behold, I stumbled upon a booth with a bunch of ratty, tangled G3's. I snagged Pinkie Pie II and Goody Gumdrop for $1 each (and they cleaned up wonderfully). :)

I was about to leave when something caught my eye up on a shelf. It was this beat up old plastic stable, and when I opened the lid, G1 heaven!  :frolic: Sadly I already had most of the ponies inside, save for two babies, Firefly and Surprise, which I snatched up for $5 a piece. I had to haggle the guy down a bit, he was trying to tell me they were both worth $15 per pony.

I'm so excited to have found G1's! And such beautiful little ones, too. If this is how this year's flea market season is going to be, I can't wait for the rest of the summer to get here!

Ooo, I do like the dark pink/magenta, surprisingly.

Hmm... a white-blonde type color could look neat, or you could just go for it and make it pink! I don't think it would look bad. Even something a shade or two lighter than his original blue hair would be cool too, like a paler blue. :) I'm sure he'll look great no matter what.

I have many more, but this fellow is basically the King of my herd (with the exception of Wigwam, who was my first pony).

I don't like this at all. But that's my personal opinion. I don't particularly like the idea of sticking metal into a perfectly good pony, and it's not even a practical keychain. They're huge!

It's somewhat of a disgrace that I don't have her, seeing as her mother is my namesake! But I'm waiting for the perfect one to come along... I'll know her when I see her. :)

Hey, it could be worse. It could be drugs or alcohol. Of all the (slightly expensive) addictions to have, at least we're addicted to something that's pretty and makes people smile!

Pony Corral / Re: Beautiful and Homely ponies -- What are yours?

I have to agree completely with you Glitzy Gems- Raincurl is so gorgeous. I vote her for the prettiest right now.  ^.^

I consider Sunbeam as homely. She's not very popular as far as I know, but I love her colors and symbols.

I actually think Sunbeam is gorgeous! She was one of my grails as a kid and I finally got a minty one recently, she is in the place of honor on my shelf. :) As for my own personal "homely" pony, I might have to say Tootsie. Her color is just this odd pea-green, but I adore her. She's one of my favorites despite her looks.

Pony Corral / Re: I've been bitten by the G2 bug!

AUUGHH I know, G2's are dangerous! I never, ever thought I'd want them (despite the fact that they are technically the ponies of my childhood, since I grew up in the 90's...) but then I bought a pony and the seller threw in a slightly baity but still cute Ivy as an extra.

I tried to put her in the back of my herd where I couldn't see her. But then I bought a lot with a G2 Sundance in it. Not on purpose. I didn't realize she was there until I opened the box and boom, there she was. They keep creeping into my life! And now I don't even hate them! I don't mind them. Oh god. D:

I feel your pain.

Oh my... wow. This is the kind of restoration I dream of doing someday! Amazing! Especially Majesty, I can't believe how white and pristine she looks! You are a magician of some kind, obviously. Amazing job. They all look so happy and new. :frolic:

Whoa, the perfume puffs look fantastic that way! And you're also making me rethink rehairing my Sunshine ponies... most of them have some of that dreaded frizz as well. Excellent job!

Powder and Flurry are the only two I can think of that are snow-related. :) I wish there were more!
