Pony Corral / Re: retro ponies/stranger things crossover????

Here it is 323-01-2761

I noticed today that a handful of stores in my area are now showing "In Stock" they must have been delivered last night/this morning. I would assume they be putting out the Stranger Thing merch before the July 4th premier to build hype?

Thank you so much! Now the hunt commences. :D

I might have overlooked it int this thread,  but does anyone have the DCPI number for the Stranger Things Applejack pony?

Just a note about the backpack, I can 100% confirm that it was released in America. I had one that I believe was bought in 1991 at Kay Bee Toys that I carried with me to kindergarten. Still have it today. The front compartment held a plain soft lunch bag (it was so disappointing the lunch bag was so bland compared to the bag itself). I blame this backpack for my love of the eyelash princess ponies. ;D

Great tips so far guys! Thank you.

I didn't know they would re-stuff an older pony. Now I feel better about washing her in case I mess up the stuffing.

I apologize if this was posted (I couldn't find it).

How do you best wash a G4 build a bear pony? I received one as a gift from a flea market and I want to make sure she is sanitized but I don't want to ruin her plush or hair. She stands pretty well too so I want to keep it that way if possible.

Can't wait to hear your stories, experiences, tips and tricks!

Wow what a close race between the brides! I love hearing everyone's stories and reasons behind their favorite. :D

Who is the best Bridal pose Bride pony?

Talking about confetti or Satin and Lace variants would be a whole different topic. This is a head to head battle between the two. I was just curious if there was a favorite among the two.

Is there a specific reason you like one over the other? I would love to hear your stories.

Personally, I like Pony Bride better as she was in my childhood collection. ;D

Somebody on Facebook already found the 2nd set of Rainbows! The two unicorns where missing, though.

Makes sense, they said that the Unicorns would be released in the fall. Did they say if the case was only the 4 ponies or if there were multiples of 2 of them to make the 6?

The person who posted had 2 Tickles and 2 Confettis.

I also read in one of the comments that the earth ponies are packed with 2 Seashells and 2 Applejacks, which I hadn’t heard before.

Ooh interesting. I have only come across a a full set plus and extra bubbles so I wonder if they are always the same extra packed? Will be curious to see.

Yes, they said the wings should be iridescent. Again these are just prototypes.

Galactica - I think the original wings may fit... as the ones the had.... were original ponies. ;p

So after 30+ years working at the show stable, Lemon Drop quit and got a new job. (LOL)

Well, you know. Overheads and all. These are hard economic times. ;) Especially when you haven't had a proper publicity profile in three decades or so...

I blame Brexit...  :P

You guys I'm dying laughing over these! XD Poor Lemon Drop

I’ve been keeping mine all MIB since I have them loose, the packaging is pretty to display!

I’m gonna have to open those flutters though.... I NEED to  press that clam shell button to make those delicate gossamer wings flap again!! Maybe this time they won’t break after a trip around the living room like they did so many years ago on Christmas morning.

This! I'm going to have to buy at least two sets of those. I've been keeping mind MIB but I love the idea of having real winged Flutters.

I should have told them to just sell the wings... I would buy a whole pack of just wings for my ponies XD

That's lovely to hear that they want to fix the delicateness. It's lovely to have a company who appears to genuine care about what the fans want (side-eyes to Hasbro).

That makes sense about the manufacture. I remember the mention they aren't confirmed yet.

I am concerned about thicker wings. I am quite fussy about flutters and one reason I love them in box is the delicate wings are preserved. I don't really think thicker wings would look 'nicer' than the originals. I also think them a bad choice of retro for the reason of a need to change the wings...but maybe I'm a minority. I also haven't seen them in person...

I agree, its a very fine line they are going to have to walk to keep them sturdy and yet have them as beautiful as the originals. If they are anything like the prototype I think they will be great! The prototype felt like they basically have the same material but doubled the thickness (put two wings on top) which is enough to make it strong but retain the original feeling of them. I trust they are going to do a good job if they are able to make them. :D Can't wait to see!

Just jumping in to clarify a few things as someone who saw the flutter ponies in person at the booth.  ^.^

- They didn't want the Flutter Ponies to be shown originally as they are not confirmed yet and not finalized. They will only be made if a retailer picks them up. Aside from the wings, the Flutters shown are not new (keen eyed collectors can see if  you look closely ;D)
- The prototype wings are much thicker and nicer. They are well aware of the issue with the broken wings and promised to ensure that wouldn't happen if made.
- They hope to still have them be able to "flutter"
- They hope to make the wings iridescent as opposed to what is shown.

As to other new items, they do have more surprises coming soon than what I see posted so keep an ear out and hope for the best ;D

My Target only had the scented rainbows and ones I already had, least their still stocking them so that's good. Was Bowtie actually that blue? Had her as a kid I don't remember. Congrats on finding the new ponies.

My Bowtie was that dark. I believe there were vast color variations in the production run. She is lovely!

Does anyone know if using Brick seek works for the individual DCPI for these new year 2 rainbow and earth ponies or only a "group/overall" one like the Unicorns/Pegasus collection?
