Pony Corral / Besides MO are there any Sparkle pony variants?
« on: July 05, 2015, 11:47:30 PM »
I recently acquired another Sky Rocket on closer inspection the new one is missing the pat pend, it's not damaged in any way it really doesn't look like it was in the mold. The other weird thing the font sizing on the Hasbro 85 bit appears different. Almost like they were created in slightly different Hong Kong factories. Their colours are different but I'm aware these galbs change colour. Other strange thing is there appears to be a smaller glitter in the plastic of one

Cool find. I put my two together the other day and they appear to have different shades of pink but the ribbons are the same not reversed like yours

There are SO many amazing places in England, I lived there for 1.5 years and still didn't see probably more than 5% of the country. I guess it just depends on what your interested in seeing. You could easily spend a week just in London :)  I really enjoyed Bath which is about 2.5 hrs drive West of London. Plus you pass by Stonehenge and some other really interesting places along the way.

Tripadvisor.com is always a great place if your looking for attractions, hotels & places to visit. Especially since its review based :)

Had a look through archives & active threads but came up with nothing recent. Does anyone know how much this gal is fetching these days? She's tempting me.

thanks ponies  :)

You mentioned that the listing was vague so in my opinion it would depend upon what was stated in the auction whether or not the refund was fair.

Do you know of someone that has or may have had this cancer?

This lady is a local, I have never met her but I'm putting this story out there in the pony community in the hopes that someone has heard of this aggressive cancer and will contact her through her FB page. She is after information about this type of cancer specifically, whether it be from a patient, family or specialists. Thanks ponies :)

That's good news Raindrop about the refund not the loss of ponies. Your question about things not being scanned but delivered. Yes that has happened to me, I paid for tracked shipping from NZ to Australia, it was tracked as far as the International Mail Centre in Australia then NOTHING. The only way I knew it had been received was my swap partner posted a brag about it. She wasn't even asked to sign for it!! Just because you pay for a service does not mean you'll receive that service especially when it crosses international borders.

You are correct about not being able to change your paypal address to add an out of country one. :(  I just moved to the US from Canada and have had to open a new account.  The problem was, they advised me to keep my old account because I have some kind of "tenure" status since it's been active for over a decade.  It's really messy. :(  Having your brother in Sydney is probably the easiest way for you to work this.  Then, you can gift money from your paypal account to your brother in law and have him add the address you want your item shipped to.  Good luck!

Thanks Silverdawn this is what I ended up doing minus the gift option so I owe my bro $10 more. Your situation is way worse than mine, how annoying for you.

I believe you are going to have to let your seller refund payment and then resend with the correct address. First you are going to have to go into your account and add her address though.  Just go to your account overview. Under your blue tabs at the top you will see several headings; all the way to the left is "profile". Hover over it and it will offer a drop down. Just choose "add or change address", change it and you're done.

Yep I've already added the address when I sent payment but I still can't change the country at the bottom, the field appears protected. I've had a quick look online and there are lots of people that have moved countries that are being told to open new Paypal accounts in their new countries as your unable to change your registered country in your account..  I guess my next question is that if my seller does go ahead and ignore the fact that it SHOULD say Australia and there is a problem is Paypal really going to deny her any help? At the end of the day if I sent a bank deposit I'm not protected one iota and if I had the money in there I would've done so without any hesitation.

I might get her to refund me then send it to my brother in law in Sydney who I THINK has Paypal then get him to pay her.. what a roundabout way to do it though..

Trader & Shipping Support / PayPal question

I've not had this happen before. My PayPal account is registered in NZ. I'm trying to purchase something privately, I've sent payment and delivery address is to my aunties in Australia. Howevery when I included her address I'm unable to change the country field at bottom from NZ to Australia. My seller wants to refund me because she said if there is a claim then she looses out because the address supplied is incorrect due to it saying NZ at the bottom of an Australian address. What can I do to get around this?? In the past my sellers have not cared about this slight difference in address and just put Australia on the parcel. The reason I want to send it to my aunt is that the seller lives 1.5 hrs away so it's to save on shipping..

Sorry to see that Dollhands I hope you and the seller can come to some arrangement. Yes its lacking proper packaging but the fact that the box is FAR to small for the item is a pretty major error in judgement.

A little OT but now days I take pictures and email them to my sellers to confirm that they are happy with how I have packaged my items if they are MIB/MOC. I recently posted a vintage playmates ceramic figure to the UK. Imagine how worried I was that this thing was going to be cracked, chipped or worse !!! It took me almost 30 mins to package it. Took pictures sent them to the buyer who said 'yep looks great'.. Pony arrived within 4 days without a scratch. Had the pony been cracked that would be a different story but as far as I was concerned my buyer was happy with the packaging at the time of sending as was I.
