Customs / Re: Custom 3D pony model

If we could get "copies" of the harder to find baits, like the teeny tinys or boy ponies, I'm sure people would pay more.  Boy baits usually cost $10 and I've paid $15 for G4 Fashion Style ponies right off the shelf to use as baits.  Hollow is probably best as long as it's not something delicate like porcelain.

So yeah, I'd be willing to pay $15.

I would just water down some Mod Podge and paint over the sticky pony.  That might take care of the problem.

I've had this issue the last can or two I've bought. The solution is to shake the heck out of it longer than you normally would and spray in quick bursts and shake between every couple bursts. Something is going on with the stuff. Then let the dull coat sit for about 3 days and keep water off it. For some reason the stuff isn't holding. I plan on contacting customer support about the issue. I wonder if its a bad batch?
I've been doing some research and it looks as if they've recently changed the formula? Something about removing or altering the levels of toluene in the formula to comply with EU standards? There are some people on the model painting forums who are having the same problems. :c

Are you using a new can, Maniah? It would be the one that says "Spray Lacquer" on it and just has "Dullcote" by the bar code. The one I sprayed down with the Mod Podge spray still seems to feel nice and dry today, so that might have fixed it. n_n

That's the can I have, and I haven't had any problems.  8-|

I did just try the spray Mod Podge on an FBR and had the sticky issue with the head of the pony that I used it on.  But I noticed it when I picked her up to rehair, so I went over the whole pony with a layer of paint-on Mod Podge before I actually rehaired her.

How'd you do that?  Just cut the dress and wires?  I have 3 or 4 extra LL's, on top of my 2 MIB ones...

My pony is painted, rehaired, and currently at the spa getting a conditioning treatment.  Then she will have her hair styled and "make-up" applied, and be done!

I think we should all band together and make our own company to make our own, way better version of MLP.  What can we call it?

My pony is about done.  I tried to gradient dye the hair, but it didn't turn out "perfectly"... gotta try something else.  After I figure the dyeing out and rehair her, she will be finished.  I might have to do something extra, too.  *runs off to plot and do more "research"*
