Heehee I've had blues and creams and hairless but I have a huge soft spot for black and brown hoodeds :)

Love the santa baby illustration! Something about spike and his pose really tickles me!
And 6 geese a laying looks great too. Your paintings with ponies in landscapes, and the geese and the car as well are really wonderful. I love seeing your pieces where you're putting ponies in a more "realistic" setting :)

Thanks everyone.  I've been worried that I might fall into just drawing the same old thing so I've been trying to mix it up a bit or challenge myself. Been drawing some non pony stuff too. There's still a lot I need to improve on ^^

Also, I posted some copics things I drew a few weeks ago.

Arts & Crafts Corral / Dainty's art! Mimic Block Print final
« on: December 26, 2015, 09:16:00 PM »
Phew ok, I'm finally happy with the crispness of this print! And I liked the mint I had before but I do also like the light brown on the kraft. I did one on a notebook so far. The notebook cover is a little hard to print on but I think they turned out kind of cool! I do have no idea how to price anything like this though lol!!

Ok! Stickers! I've printed some of them so far and cut them out :) I'll post a preview of the original art and also what they look like now! They're fairly big (3 in or so).. Making stickers is something I've always wanted to do but have never gotten around to.. so well.. I really hope these are received well at the fair! I was thinking $1 each because they are bigger (the ones I see for .50 or so at cons are usually 1-2 inch stickers) but... IDK, hopefully they are worth it. >_<
I'm also not super sure how many I should make. I don't want to have a lot of excess but.. I dont want to not have enough either  But is it worth doing 50 more ponies (which i'd LIKE to do) if no one is going to want them anyways?

SO anyways, I'm very proud of this piece in particular.. I know there's the dark edge from the scanner, I'm going to have to take it into work and scan it on a larger scanner but.. I couldn't wait to post it

Pony Brag Arena / Xmas swap with Lorelei Redfern!!
« on: December 13, 2015, 05:06:09 PM »
Lorelei and I did a christmas swap! Hers is still on the way but I got mine two days ago and just got around to posting about how awesome it is lol! Hopefully it's ok to post in regular brags even though there's one pony!

First thing I did was pull out all the snacks... Omg there were so many yummy things. Me and my girlfriend have been steadily going through them but there's still a lot of stuff left

And all the presents!! Sugar Blossom the Lil Brush-a-Love :) And a nosey bear.. I've always been a bit unsure if I really liked them or not.. But this guy is so bright in person and he's the perfect size for displaying.. I might have to get more  Yoshi is already hanging in our car ^^ and Birdetta is with the rest of our nintendo plushies. It was so awesome getting a bunch of plush in a swap, especially since i've never had a nosey bear or lil brush a love before!

And a g2 sundance! I'm really starting to like G2s, so this was a nice addition to my tiny collection of them so far hehe!

This was such a great swap. I'm seriously in love with everything i got, and ooomg all the snacks  Thanks again Lorelei :lovey:

I might have to do two drawings this week lol! I'm sitting here with tech support trying to figure out why photoshop isn't working as we speak.. so hopefully I'll be able to work on them soon

Off Topic / Re: ~Hot Cocoa Storytime thread!~
« on: November 30, 2015, 07:20:15 PM »
I don't have any specific recipe for my hot cocoa  I just add the cocoa and if it doesn't taste chocolatey enough I add more  But I always do ummmm milk with cocoa powder and sugar, and a little vanilla extract. You just have to fiddle around with the ratios depending on how sweet/chocolatey it is ;)

And I like to add stuff, like peppermint extract (or those mint cremes with the christmas trees on them are good melted in) or lavender or chili oil if I feel adventurous! Lol I might get some orange extract and try that soon because orange hot cocoa sounds so good.

Ham! Mines cooking right now actually :) I like ham but I loooove leftover ham on sandwiches. Don't really care for turkey too much because I'm not skilled enough to make it not dry

Glad this is back! I misses last week because ive been kind of down and not online much but I'm going to try and do both ponies this week!
I got some new paper for my copics so we'll see how it turns out :)

Edit: Ok this took forever to get up!

Somethings wrong with my graphics card/driver so photoshop is crashing my computer. After 2 hours I gave up and downloaded sai to edit this.. I'm still trying to figure everything out.

This paper is pretty nice.. I'm still trying to get the hang of using copics though.

Arts & Crafts Corral / Re: Copic marker advice
« on: November 16, 2015, 07:13:54 PM »
I love my copics I had now, but I also started with prismacolors when I was younger :) They're still good art quality markers, and I think theyre a good choice to start with if you don't know if markers are going to end up being a media you want to stick with or not. But I don't think theres anything wrong with getting copics that young either if you want!
I don't know where exactly you live but check craigslist if there's anywhere near you that would have art students. Occasionally I've seen people selling their barely used or new copics they bought for class for way cheaper than from the store! :)

Off Topic / Re: Thrift store ponies please?
« on: November 03, 2015, 08:05:15 PM »
The two times I've found ponies so far since i've moved has been at goodwill! One I had to drive out 30 min or so to go to a tiny one and found some bushwoolies, the other time I went to the one 5 min from me that has nothing ever and found 13 g1 ponies in $8 worth of bags. You never know with thrift stores lol!

I love flea markets too. I've found some ponies there, but sometimes it's hard to find a good one depending on where you are... sometimes they end up being mostly new stuff.

I finished mine as well. Ended up going in a bit of a different direction than I had planned, hopefully people will like it. I used a brand new medium for me ^^
