Ionn sorry to hear about your Cadance I ordered a bunch and only one had flaws like that all others were close to perfect, bad luck! I suggest bring yours into your store to trade for one and tell them she had bad flaws.

Yeah, can't be lucky all the time! I'm sitting here this morning working up the courage to take her to the local store...  Such a wuss.

My pair arrived today & it's one hit & one miss! Not on glitters (whew!) but on QC.  This Cadance is the most beat up, flawed, & generally poor Funko I've ever seen. I mean, she has paint splatters on pieces of her that don't have, & aren't even near, any place having that color paint! Rubs, glue, gouges, overspray, places they got paint & tried to wipe it off...Her tail's also falling out, but I got her right off the truck & she was really hot so the glue is soft. I'm tolerant of a flaw or four but she's bad.  >_<

Shining Armor, on the other hand, is perfect! Super, minty, LSQ flawless! (I really like his design too - wasn't too sure about the whole uniform thing)

So, good job, Funko...a solid 50%?  :lookround:

"Ponies of SmallMart"

Romper: "Should I tell my sis her filly took off all her clothes 3 aisles back?"

"Guess this dress was on sale on this week."

New skills FTW! Getting smooth, even coats with brushes takes a lot of patience, practice, & experimentation. Making white behave still stymies me most of the time!

On the blue dye: I wondered about that when I saw your pics of the cast blanks. Guess I better get my grumpy ol' airbrush fighting fit again...they can be a persnickety pain during setup but once you've everything just so painting with an airbrush is fantastic!

I can't wait to see Lunas come together for you as you put all these new pieces together, so to speak.

When I compared my two, I found no significant differences.

So wonderful to hear you're finally having success!

The instruction pages look very clean & understandable, even to my cold medicine-addled brain. Grand job all around!

I don't know much about these ponies but I like the posability & her lovely yellow mane & tail.

Wow, good job! I tend to steer away from really pink ponies but she looks very nice!

I know from my own CM Breyers that getting large patches of white can be difficult. The paint has to be thin enough to brush out smoothly but thick enough to cover without a jillion coats. Did you cover the new symbols with a clear coat, or is the shine from removing the old symbol? I only see it in one pic, but it kinda distracts that half of her side is shiny. An just as an aside, what type of glue does one use to undecapitate a pony? Just in case I ever run in to that...

All in all, I thinks that's a restoration anyone would be proud to have!

I'm afraid I can't really help out with finding a customizer except to perhaps recommend hitting up Model Horse Blab for help finding one. Your Joss was beautiful!

As for retailers, you might try Modell Pferde Versand in Germany or Horse Sense Online in the UK. I seem to recall there was another German supplier too but the name escapes me at the moment. For older stock Utterly Horses may have some but they will not be getting new stock due to the whole Copperfox debacle. Hope that helps!

Fun thread!

I clearly remember getting Peachy with her parlor as my first pony one christmas, & High Flyer was the last pony I got as a kid. What's odd is although I had fifteen or so other ponies, I can only recall how I got a few of them. Majesty/Dream Castle one Christmas & the MO Sparkle Ponies for a birthday, but there's a herd of others that were "always there." Eh, I just don't remember stuff like that very well!

If you're worried about stowaways on the packaged ponies, how about placing them in a ziplock type bage & popping them in the freezer for a day?
