I never understood it. I only bid in the last 10, then 2 seconds with the most I want to spend. Usually win, unless someone has serious padding.

That's exactly what I do. Never understood the people who bid on something when there's 6 days left...chances are you'll be outbid so might as well wait til the end.

Not so much objects, but with some places I can pick up things. The scariest was when hubby and I went to England and were staying overnight at a castle. We went for a walk in the afternoon and found a path through the woods. It was a beautiful, bright, sunny day and we were having a lovely time. Until we got to a clearing. I could NOT go through it. Refused. Hubby thought I was nuts. It would have been way faster to go through but I made him go back the way we came. Later that night we went on a guided tour and went down the same path through the woods. Got to the clearing. That was when the tour guide said it was the only part of the entire castle and grounds that made him uncomfortable. Apparently when they were putting in plumbing in the castle in the 1980s, they had to lay the pipes and they went through the clearing. That was when they found the mass grave there. The castle is near the border of Scotland, and I guess the Scots used to come down and any that were caught in the area were hung in the woods...not by the neck, but around the waist, and left to die. Then they were buried in a mass grave. Hubby just looked at me and was like "How did you know?" I couldn't explain, just a horrible feeling I had.
