I can't say I envy you as I really don't like the heat, but happy sunfading :D

Off Topic / Re: O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
« on: December 15, 2012, 01:02:15 PM »
We're not having a christmastree this year as space is very limited around here at the moment due to renovations. I'm hoping it's all cleared out to next year because I really want a christmas tree!

And I do prefer real ones. Nothing beats that christmas tree smell :D

Just wanna jump in and say I think the seller did mention it:

I went to take a big whiff of her candy scent, only to be greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke. (my fault for not noticing that part of the seller's description)

It's so easy to miss little things like that in descriptions in my experience, especially if it's a very long wall of text :P

I do hope you manage to get her lovely scent back with any of these methods PWN-E :)
I really did go back and look for literally 10 minutes and did not fin a single thing mentioning the smell. I didn't really want to point fingers at anyone right away but they really didn't and that makes me pretty miffed. I'm going to send them a mail when I get the chance to.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I've been airing her out so far during the daytime but at night as soon as I go down to the grocery store and get some baking soda I'll keep her sealed up with some.

Ah, my bad. Guess I missunderstood your first post then.

Good for you sending an e-mail pointing it out to them :) Loads of people are allergic and if they haven't thought about it before it would be a great pointer so they add that in future item descriptions.

Pony Corral / Re: Is good condition Majesty HTF?
« on: December 14, 2012, 03:42:18 PM »
I got mine in pretty much perfect condition years ago. Maybe she was indeed more common to come across years ago.

Right now I got a double from a lot, but aside from some minor issues she looks very nice. Very white, no discolouring or cancer.

So from my experience, no. She's not that hard to find in ok-good condition. But maybe I've just been lucky.

As others have mentioned fresh air is great to get smoke smell out of stuff.

My mum loves rock-events and such, but alot of people smoke there and she always put her clothes out on the balcony to "air them out" and it really works. A day or so and the smokesmell is completely gone. That is for clothes at least.

I never had to try it on ponies, but after reading the previous replys here it seems like it works on them aswell and I can't say I'm surprised as it does such wonders for clothes :)

Wow they look really lovely :) Unless they're doubles then I'd keep them if I were you ;)

That being said I'm totaly jealous of Locket and Masqurade. I keep hunting those two to replace mine that has some mold issues, but everyone I stumble across seem to have the same issues as mine. You're so lucky to have found them in such lovely condition :)

Customs / Re: Customizing a G4 FS Rarity...should I? D:
« on: December 14, 2012, 02:45:38 AM »
As other people mentioned here she does seem to have made a re-apperance in the stores. I've herd several reports here lately that they've found her in their local stores and on Amazon I believe.

So I think she has been re-released :)

That being said, it's your pony and you should do whatever you please with her. If you dont have any plans to sell her as she is anyway then I see no problem of costumizing her as she would be off limits to everyone anyway.

I got my Tutti Frutti brand new from the store when I was a child and I do remember she had a slight fruitty smell. I obviously had to go and sniff her now when I read this post but after about 2 decades of storage with other ponies she only smell like a pony - or well... plastic. Guess it faded away after all these years.

I also remember Lemond Drop had a lemony smell like you said The_Loner :) I got her aswell brand new from the store as a kid, but as it's the same deal with her - 2 decades in storage with other ponies - I'm betting she doesn't smell much either anymore

Merry Treats or her Nirvana counter part both really sais Christmas to me :) Everything about them is perfectly christmas themed.

I do also have a softspot for Marshmallow Coco - I mean who can resist drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows during these cold months? :D

Pony Corral / Re: If you were in charge of MLP toy production...

I would try and get more show characters added into the brushable toyline.

Such as Big Mac, Granny Smith, The Cakes family, Silverspoon and Diamond Tiara and so forth. Also some of the more regular background ponies.

I would also make sure there were more fun playsets. Canterlot Castle, Twilights Library, The Cakes Shop, Sweet Apple Farm and so on. And when I say playsets I do mean full, proper playsets like in the G1 line. Not just a halfdone front of a building.

Other than that I'm pretty content with the line so far :)

Oh I have to pick one? Hmm...

Well I can pick one of each generation, but it's gonna be hard for me to narrow it down more than that XD

G1 - Truly
G2 - Silver Swirl
G3 - Desert Rose
G3.5 - Toola Roola
G4 - Pinkie Pie

Here's a link to all the Mommy Charms http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/Mommy_Charms

And as far as I know there's also a few others that were made that weren't included in this set. I'll google around for you and see if I can find it :)

Hope that helps alittle :)

EDIT: Found it  http://www.ponylandpress.com/charms/

And I thought the shipping charges were bad!

Lol amen to that. Their international shipping prices are horrid.

And now THIS  I sincerely hope it's a misstake on their part or they've just gone completely mad.
