The Dollhouse / Re: Show me your Frozen dolls

Based on what the Parks blog has said, it sounds like it's just going to be a retelling of the movie  Can't say I was ever a huge fan of Maelstrom, it's just the principle of the thing that bothers me. And I was so hoping for a big themed area in the Magic Kingdom. I was discussing it with someone online not that long ago. We'd planned it near the Rivers of America, and part of the water could be "frozen" over. They'd have Arendelle's castle and marketplace as the area to walk around (with restaurants and chocolate shops, of course!) and the darkride would be "in" the castle. We thought the ride could be done with sleds as cars, maybe even trackless like the new Ratatouille ride. Elsa's ice palace could be in the distance, like the new Beast's castle. It was a great plan, and I know it wasn't going to be exactly like that. But still, I'm disappointed that the big ride Frozen deserves is just gonna be an overlay of an existing ride, where it doesn't belong at all.

Anyway, rant over!

Someone on a Disney forum I frequent posted pictures of new Coronation plush dolls for both of the girls! Can we post things from other people's flickrs if we give credit?

The last time I was there (about a month ago), I think they'd stopped the masks/cutouts/stamps altogether, but don't quote me on that. And as far as the restaurant goes (if you mean the sit down one?) that's been a Princess character meal for a few years. I do hope the bakery stays, though!

But yeah, it's just not the right park for Frozen. Sounds like Disney wanted to put something in as fast and as cheaply as possible. Which, considering how much money Frozen made them, is really disappointing. But then again, Norway itself didn't seem to care much about the pavilion, so I can't say I can blame Disney for seeing the opportunity. I'm just disappointed that a) it's gonna mess up the World Showcase theme and b) Frozen will probably never get a well themed, dedicated space (in Fantasyland!) and this'll be it.

Plus the lines! The pavilion is so tiny, and between the ride and meet and greet lines, it'll be horrific!

No, Coronation Elsa it is! I'm crossing my fingers that she ships soon, because the suspense I killing me! It's also killing me that she's gonna have to live at home, but I'm just super excited to finally have her!

I wanna see floationg hand Elsaaaaa!!!!
She's been relisted for a higher price  :drunk:

Search "elsa classic doll error" and witness the madness (not sure if we can post live auction links?)

I have mixed feelings about the attraction  On the one hand, Maelstrom was in need of an update. Badly. On the other hand, I don't think Disney should be fictionalizing EPCOT, considering the World Showcase is meant to celebrate real countries. Not to mention the fact that that ride building is pretty small, and from what I've heard they're just using the ride that's already there. In which case, my hopes are not high...

Sorry, I'm a Disney parks fan when I'm not on the Arena!

Anyway, I tried for Coronation Elsa again! Hoping this one actually shows up  But she's missing a rhinestone or two on her bodice, so I'm gonna have to figure out how to replace that.

New from Hamilton Collections!

I have to say, I think I like this one better than the individual Elsa posted a while back. Plus, I'm an older sibling, so I'm a bit biased towards the sister thing  :P I think my Grandma might get my sister and I this one for Christmas, and I'll probably end up buying the Couture de Force Elsa at some point, too.

Ooooh, speaking of Couture de Force...
Anna's joining the lineup!

It says she'll be out in Spring 2015.

I'm getting so excited just thinking about all of the figurines that will probably be announced for Christmastime! So much Frozen! And with the short next year, people are speculating about more LE dolls being released.

Yeah, the case was resolved, but on my eBay account, the doll is still listed under the "Unpaid Items" section. Should I just leave it alone, then?

EDIT: Called eBay and they archived the purchase. I'm all set!

Well, I guess she figured it out, because I got a refund through PayPal this morning. Two questions left for you all, though, and then I'll stop, promise!

1) On eBay it now lists the doll under "Unpaid Items." Do I have to do anything to cancel the order, or will I now have to go through a non-paying bidder thing?
2) Should/ can I leave her negative feedback for this?

Thanks so much, everyone!

Okay, I just heard back from the seller through ebay:

"
I suppose I'm not sure what to do now? "

Uh... I've never handled a paypal dispute from either side, so how do I walk her through it?

UGH! why does this give me deja vu?! I am absolutely furious for you hun! This seller is messing you about. Likely  the person decided they will be able to get more for the doll at a later time (ie: xmas rush) and has had second thoughts so put off shipping and come up with an excuse not to send your doll
(same case scenario as my first seller of this doll - kept my money for a month then backed out of the sale on ebay with an excuse..then was stupid enough to relist the doll(s) for a crazy higher price right after she refunded and told me she didnt have them and couldnt send to me)
Back to your own situation Moss, if it was real why did she not tell you right away, or why did she not ship right away and left it so it got "damaged", why is she holding your money, why did she not provide photo evidence of the damaged doll as "I cant send it because its damaged now" is one of the oldest and most pathetic excuses in the book - yes it happens occasionally to be true (rarely though!)  but then you need to be shown pics at least .

You were right to open a case right away after that message. Dont let this person drag things out and keep your money - what she has done is not acceptable.
BTW it wouldnt happen to be a UK seller would it? :what:
To be honest, I'd probably respect someone more if they just outright said, "I've decided not to go through with the sale at this time, but let me help you get your money back." I wouldn't be happy with it, but at least they'd be honest. Too bad that'll never happen.

No, it was a US seller. And it's just so annoying because we had been in contact for a few days while she waited for the listing to end so she could list it for me at the agreed price. Like if you were having second thoughts, why go through all the trouble? And of course now I'm not hearing from her at all.

Not sure if anyone would know, but if you pay with a credit card through PayPal, can you cancel the charge through the credit card company? My mom doesn't like me using my debit card on larger purchases, in case something like this happens and the money is already gone. So we were wondering if the PayPal dispute starts taking too long, if we could just call the credit card company and dispute it that way. It wouldn't bother me so much if it wasn't such an expensive purchase! And I'm afraid to try for another doll until this mess gets sorted out.

Oh, and would it be acceptable to leave the seller a negative feedback for this?

I'd messaged her earlier asking about the damage, but I think you guys are right  It sounds fishy, so I just opened a claim with the hopes that she'll agree to it quickly. sigh. Back to the doll hunt!

Well, I just got the following message:

"Due to some unfortunate events, Elsa has been damaged ): I will be refunding you the money on the 17th (when I receive your money in my PayPal). I apologize with all my heart for this!"

Do I really have to wait until she gets the money to get a refund? Not sure I like the idea of it sitting around for so long...

Can't offer much shipping advice, but I know that England hasn't been in stock for quite a while. No one really knows why, but the only way to get him is through eBay these days.

Congrats on everyone's finds! I'm glad stuff is finally coming back in stock in places. I got more sticker packs at Five Below (they've got a lot of Frozen stuff!), so I'll have to check later what duplicates I have.

I'm not an ebay user. Well, I wasn't, up until about a month ago...

I've been eyeing various auctions for an LE Elsa Disney doll for a while now. All of the auctions would end just out of my budget, and I was resigned that I'd probably never get her. In a moment of "what the heck, it can't hurt," I messaged a few sellers who had either high BIN prices or doll sets, asking if they'd accept a lower price. Eventually, I got one yes back, she relisted the item for me at the agreed upon price, I bought it, paid shortly after, and all was well.

Now, I had a slight problem with PayPal and a credit card, and just to make sure that she received the payment, I sent her a message on Thursday asking if everything had gone through. She said it had, but since she's newer to ebay she can't get the money for a certain amount of time. She also mentioned that the doll should be shipped on Friday.

On her auctions, it also mentions that she ships on Fridays unless she contacts you otherwise.

I haven't heard anything since Thursday, so I sent her a quick message yesterday morning (Saturday), just asking if she'd been shipped yet. No response. I understand that it's a holiday weekend and everything, but am I being unreasonable in wanting a quick "yes I just haven't updated with tracking yet" or "no but I expect to ship her on blahblahblah?" And I guess this means I'll have to wait until Friday to hear anything...

This wouldn't bother me if I didn't spend so much money on her! This is my first time dealing with ebay, too, and I'm not sure how to proceed. Any advice would be appreciated.
