The Dollhouse / Re: Does Anyone Have Information on this Ariel Doll?
« on: February 02, 2015, 12:32:10 AM »
I was able to find this girl, who looks pretty similar in the face - and her box says she was a Disney Store exclusive - but I'm either terrible at Googling, or there just isn't a lot of information about these dolls. :[

Off Topic / Re: Shopping at Goodwill
« on: January 29, 2015, 05:15:43 PM »
I've only ever found a couple of 80s/90s toys at my Goodwill (a Lady Lovely Locks, a 90s Teresa doll, and a '99 Pikachu plush are the only ones I've brought home) but they at least tend to have a decent amount of toys, which is... a lot more than I can say for the other thrift stores around here. I'm still hoping I'll find a G1 or G2 one day...

The Dollhouse / Re: Obitsu bodies and similar?

Maybe a Fashionista Barbie body? They're relatively easy to find (and have pretty nice articulation - I love the torso joint), and I think Barbie herself might be an okay skintone match.

Oh gosh, I popped on to see if my account still existed and apparently it's been seven years since I had a subscription! I miss it sometimes.

Could the baby without a country stamp be Spanish?

Mine are both realised in the same year, thats what weird

If you mean the year stamped on their hooves, that's just the year the mold was made, not the pony specifically :)

Off Topic / Re: Nintendo 3DS vs. Nintendo 2DS?
« on: December 20, 2014, 02:50:20 PM »
It's also worth pointing out that the "New 3DS" exists - it's only out in Japan, but it has some extra features (NFC communication so it can support Amiibo, a second circle pad) and it's been confirmed there's at least one game that will only work on it. I'm just hoping nothing that I want will be exclusive for it. ;;

My original 3DS has kind of awful battery life; if I had the opportunity to upgrade to an XL I'd definitely take it. I play in 2D almost all of the time, though...

I added you! I'm Aerora on FR, too. :) (Your dragons are so pretty! I need to splurge and get one with Crystal or Facet soon...)

Pony Corral / Re: Your opinion on tinsel in pony hair?
« on: December 13, 2014, 12:03:41 AM »
I can't stand G3/4 tinsel, it's so hard to tame. :( I have one G1 Princess and even though her tinsel is crinkled a little bit, it's much nicer to handle.

Aww, I want one of the upset ones! They're adorable.

There are browser extensions that will block certain sites - they don't work super well for me because I just automatically try to find a way around them, but they might help you.

Definitely +1 on playing the same music! I like soft orchestral stuff. Heir - Seer - Knight - Witch got me through most of my college papers. (If music is too distracting, maybe ambient noise generators? I like myNoise.)

In terms of general prep, a big scratchpad (a physical notebook page, or an empty word doc) where you throw stuff you think might come in handy absolutely helps keep my thoughts together so I don't have to stop and go hunting for a quote I saw a few hours ago.

She's adorable! I wish the cape she'd come with had been that lovely, and that dress is so cute :lovey:

I found a Disney Animator Cinderella at the thrift store today! :lovey: She needs a little work (there's a couple stains on her leg, and her hair definitely needs a wash) but I can't believe how sweet her face is in person.

LLL Duchess Ravenwaves, DS Merida, and (broken-legged, but complete) signature Raven Queen are my best finds. :)
