Whoooa! So weird to be back! After a 6-year hiatus (college, starting a business) I decided to go through my collection last night and part with about 1/3 of it. I had some teary memories -- and I couldn't believe how many ponies I had! This is cross-posted at the TP because I remember how many different members there were at both forums.
I've realized that lots has changed since "my day," in that G1s can be quite hard to come by on eBay now...ponies that used to be sold by the dozens now only have a few listings! So sad. Anyway, I'd like to avoid eBay because of the fees, but I also feel like that venue has the "bidding war" thing going for it, where a pony might sell for more than on a forum. Do people still collect G1s anyway???

I asked on a Type forum, and received this answer: This is a custom logo design.
As for the inspiration for the letters, I see the foxtail _e_ used by Edward Benguiat in ITC Barcelona http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/itc/barcelona/ and a mixture of Barcelona Heavy and Barcelona Heavy Italic for the other letters, modified by adding a foxtail terminated swash to _M_ and two versions of foxtail terminated tails to the italic _y_. Replacement of the dot for _i_ with a heart is the finishing touch to appeal to little girls. So....there was no real G2 logo font.

I have looked high and low and one doesn't seem to exist. I would settle for a well-reproduced version at this point. It must be about 2" long at 300dpi. Can anyone direct me?

So....I have this marked (from a long time ago) as "Parlor" lace and blanket...but did the Pretty Parlor (or the Sweet Shoppe Parlor) come with lace and a blanket? If not, what does this go to? visitors can't see pics , please register or login
