Trader & Shipping Support / Re: ebay feedback- neutral or negative?
« on: August 22, 2013, 12:21:26 PM »
OK, I just received a pony I won on ebay. The seller wrapped it in newspaper so it arrived very dirty,

I used to pack the ponies in newspaper when i first started selling  I never knew it would stain! The first buyers didn't say anything about it so i have send a few ponies this way, this could be a honest mistake from the seller, i know i never did it on purpose :)

But i get that there are other issues here too. The haircut should definitely have been mentioned by the seller. I hope you can get some sort of refund; otherwise you might mark the item as 'not as described'

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: New Arena trend: not responding back?
« on: August 22, 2013, 12:13:24 PM »
I have noticed this actually happening even more often than usual lately. I have had about three or four potential buyers just in the past week do this to me: Request a shipping quote, ask for my PayPal and not respond to my multiple PMs. It's irritating. All I ask is that if they decide against buying the ponies to drop me a note to say so. Is that really so difficult?

same here... but the good news: i have found a new buyer for the ponies, communication was excellent again(she bought before also). :)
I think in the future i will be reluctant to sell/trade/whatever with people that have ignored my multiple messages. Ignoring or missing one message = ok, i get that, it can happen. But 3? I'll rather decline next time, thank you.

Are we getting old and crabby? Is it a specific generation collector that seems to be the culprit? I might be in a snotty mood but I haven't had this issue with g1s.

Sorry to say, but it has been exactly the "old" G1 collectors/sellers who have failed to respond in my case.

Same here. I don't even have g4 for sale and the g2 & g3 never sell :P

Yes I have the same thing and not only here. I think it's the new way of communication. And yes it's rude but that's how many people are these days :| Think about it, the more you go back in history the more polite the people were. But not to wandering off. For me they do not even have to give a reason why they are no longer interested, just letting me know that the sale is not gonna happen is enough.

That is very true. And i agree, i don't need to hear a reason perseé either, i just wanna know if someone is still interested... Now it all sounds so...complaining. But it's such a small thing to do. I just don't get the behaviour, excuse you me.
I can believe that messages might go lost, but not several messages i have send if i see they have read them. And then come up with lame excuses. If i see you post many messages/topics on arena, don't tell me you didn't PM me because you, and i quote, "had no time". I'm not a moron.

By the way: i'm kinda curious about the PM thing now. If ANYONE has messaged me and never got an answer, please tell me! :) Because i always answer to buyers/sellers/potential traders etc! I wanna know if i might have missed a PM now i hear about this 'PM trouble'.

As a buyer, she would get an email from paypal that her money was send. It sounds like she might mistakenly not finished the check out on Paypal. Maybe you can ask her to re-check her last payments on Paypal?

Did you do a feedback follow up comment? if not then add one to say what happened and that you would have replaced the items if the buyer had contacted you.  Keep it polite and factual. A lot of people check these comments when they check the negs- and how someone responds to the neg can make a difference .

Seems like a good idea! I know i (as a buyer) always read the follow up comments when one leaves a neg to a seller :)

I am absolutely going to make an offer as soon as you're ready to start taking them.

It's too bad about the eyes being switched.  I don't mind the broken ear as much, but the eyes are a bit distracting lol

Yea too bad the eyes are switched, but on the other hand it's really OOAK! :lmao:

I have two scales but both are not really qualified to weigh the EXACT weight :( Pff, sorry for keeping anyone who's interested waiting, it's only a shippingcost issue now. I think you guys need to know the exact weight & exact costs before bidding, as they are quite high, out of europe. Members within Europe pay much less on shipping.

I think we would be happy to help pay for shipping (= we can pay a part of the amount to help out). Will be talking to SB later today as i need her approval for this :)

We charge only the real shippingcosts from POSTNL and no extra for any packing matherial!
Check the postNL site here: http://www.postnl.nl/tarieven/pakketten/ (you will probably need translation to check the signed for shipping section). We're reluctant to send it without any proove of arrival, due to experiences from the past.

Yep, hokuspocus has one she was thinking of selling:

http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,338118.0.html

Yep! :)

"Hop on and break your neck!  Just like a real pony!!"

Sorry, but that thing looks like it would fall apart...maybe that's why we rarely see it XD

I think you're right! They are made of plastic. I think they used to break easily.. As far as i've seen there are the pink version and the green/aqua version that me & Schitterboogje have :) The color looks blue on the box though

I think the flowered hat came with the Poof 'n Puff Perfume Palace. Not sure about the other one, but definitely MLP.

I thought so too! :)
