You're right; they do look a lot alike! That can't be a coincidence! I feel bad for TJ; Megan just ditched him for Firefly, Sundance, and the other ponies. I mean, how can he compete with pastel talking ponies, some of them who can even FLY?

ROUND ONE
1. Night Glider or Munchy - Night Glider. She is gorgeous and her astronomy symbols seem more appropriate than Munchy's hot dogs and fries symbols.


2. Mimic or Bright Eyes TE - Mimic just because I think if you own Mimic it makes you automatically cool.  :P Plus, I just prefer her colors a bit more.


3. Christmas G3 Minty or G3 Target Snowflake - So I'm not really familiar with any generation that isn't G1, so I'm just looking up the non G1 choices and just choosing who I atheistically like better. In this case, it would be Snowflake.

4. G4 Feathermay or Honeybuzz - Okay, that little bee symbol is adorable so I'm going with Honeybuzz.

5. G2 Water Lily or G2 Copper Glow - I don't like how G2 ponies look, but I guess I'll go with Copper Glow.

6. Baby Gusty or Baby Ribbon (play and care, not BBE) - Ribbon; BBE Baby Ribbon is a childhood pony of mine and more often than not I'm going to choose the ponies that I owned in these scenarios.

7. Rapunzel or Sweet Scoops - Rapunzel if only for the fact that she goes for insane prices and I would just sell her as I don't have any desire to have her because I would never pay so much money for a pony!

8. Fizzy or Wind Whistler (SS) - Wind Whistler is great, but Fizzy is a childhood pony and my favorite pony so I choose her.

9. Princess Pristina or Blueberry Baskets - I chose Princess Pristina once as a kid and I would choose her again here. She's so purty!

10. Red Roses or Starglow (any version) - Red Roses

ROUND TWO (Suggestions from Otocolobus_manul, tailrustedtealeaf and Ponyfan)

11. Diamond Dreams or Lemon Treats? - Lemon Treats; I'm not really into the MGR ponies.

12. pure white Taffy or pure white Quackers? - Even though I can't say her name with a straight face and I find her pose a bit awkward, I'm going with Quackers. She is very pretty with her rainbow hair and twinkle eyes.

13. TAF Buttons? or MGR Sparkler? - Well, first of all I prefer SS Buttons and unicorn Sparkler over these two ;), but I'll go with TAF Buttons

14. G2 Study and Play or Nosy and Click? - Those are certainly interesting names! Oh, these are twin ponies, okay, that makes more sense. I literally thought there was a pony called Study and Play and another called Nosy and Click. Yeah, I'm stupid. For this, I'm going with Study and Play because I don't like Nosy people. Plus I really don't get the Nosy and Click names...what is that supposed to mean? I get Study and Play...

15. G3 Bay Breeze or Rosey Posey? - Bay Breeze

16 G4 prototype Minty A or prototype Sweetie Blue? - Sweetie Blue

17. Watercolor Misty or Pearly Tiny Bubbles - Tiny Bubbles; I like her coloring more.

18. Pajama Case Plush Cotton Candy or Bowtie? - They're both cute, but I'll go with Bow Tie

19. Plush Baby Lofty or Baby Lickety Split? - Baby Lofty

20. Cuteasaurus or ChaCha (Llama)?- I'm not a Pony Friends fan, but ChaCha is pretty cute.

I'm gonna add a Round Three as well!
21. G4 Holly Dash or Haven Bay? - I guess Holly Dash

22. Sunburst or Tornado? - Sunburst

23. Tux & Tails or Satin & Lace (any version)? - I guess Satin and Lace, but neither really do anything for me.

24. Rattles and Tattles (newborn) or Sandcastle and Shovels? - Rattles and Tattles; their names just roll off the tongue better.

25. G4 Starswirl or G4 Rainbow Flash? - Starswirl...I'm not familiar with Rainbow Flash (I've heard of Rainbow Dash, though  ;))

26. Waterfall with Cascade or Kitchen Playset? - The kitchen is super cute, but I gotta go with the Waterfall as I had it in my childhood (except I had Sprinkles, but I do think Cascade is really cute so I would be happy to have her).

27. Peppermint Crunch or Raspberry Jam? - Peppermint Crunch was a childhood pony of mine, so I chose her. Plus, I was doing a pony inventory a few months ago and noticed she was missing so now I need to solve the Case of the Missing Peppermint Crunch.

28. G3 SLH Rarity or SLH Sunny Salsa? -Sunny Salsa...because her name is Sunny Salsa.

29. G2 Miss Painter or Hip Holly? - Hip Holly...she's different.

30. Clover or Patch? - Clover. Patch sounds like a dog's name; at least Clover sounds like a horse's name.  :P

3 foot Frilly Frocks or 3 foot Star Shimmer? - I guess Frilly Frocks; not familiar with either one.

Sugarberry/Strawberry Fair or Sweet Tooth/Lollipop? - Sweet Tooth

TE Bright Eyes or Tales Bright Eyes? - Twinkle Eyes; never watched Pony Tales, so I have no allegiance to that group.

G4 Songbird Serenade or Tempest Shadow? - Just going by the name, I'm gonna go for Tempest Shadow.

Okay, I have a random pony thought:

Did you ever have a pony (or two) as a kid and realized that during your childhood you were calling it by a different name, either because a) you didn't know how to pronounce its name, or b) you just went through your entire childhood thinking that was its name and only just now, as an adult, realized it had an entirely different name?  :P I can give you an example for each one:

I had the perfume puff pony, Dainty Dahlia. I got the "Dainty" part right. However, my young brain saw "Dahlia" as "Delilah" and she was always "Dainty Delilah" to me.  :P

I had Shoreline and it was only a few years ago when I was looking through all the different ponies on Ponyland Press and I came across her and immediately recognized her. I have fond memories of picking her out at the store, then coming home and immediately opening her and taking her outside to watch her hair change color. (Luckily, it was a sunny day that day!) However….I almost did a double take when I saw that her name was “Shoreline” because I remembered her as “Sunshine”. This was probably for two (obvious) reasons: she literally had a bunch of suns (wearing sunglasses!) as  her symbol, so can you blame me for remembering her name as “Sunshine?”   :biggrin: Also, she was part of the Sunshine ponies so I must have gotten that mixed up and remembered it as her name.

I also went through my entire life thinking I had one pony, when in actuality I had a completely different pony! Let me tell you the story:

I must have been five or six when I received a pony in the mail. It was a blue baby pony with blue hair and no symbol and it came in a small box. Of course I was thrilled to get it and that’s really all I remember: just the excitement of opening a small box to find a pony in there. I don’t remember if it came with any papers telling me what the pony’s name was or anything like that. All my life, I figured the pony was Lucky. Obviously, as you may have guessed, I had a blue Ember. You have to remember this story takes place in the ‘80s, a time before we had a wonderful thing called the Internet. It probably wasn’t until a few years ago when I was doing some MLP research and made this discovery. The pony I had was clearly not Lucky; I just thought it was him because my pony was all blue! And I just assumed they forgot to print the horseshoe symbol, so what do I do? Get out my purple magic marker and draw a crude horseshoe on its haunches! I still have that little pony and it will probably always be known as “Lucky” to me.

I had her and her mama! One of the very few mother/baby sets I had. Even though I'm not a big fan of first tooth ponies (the one tooth painted on just looks silly to me), I do love Baby Tic Tac Toe.

Thanks! I had three Pony parties in a row...my 6th, 7th, and 8th birthdays. I didn't have any ponies on display for my eight birthday, I think the only photo I have from it is my Dairy Queen ice cream birthday cake that had Surprise on it.

Yep, I can see Galaxy, Night Glider, Moonstone, etc all being best friends and being nerds talking about astrology!

I owned Hippity Hop and Romper and of course they were best friends because of their shared rabbit symbols.

I have the retro coloring book and while I've only colored a couple pictures so far, I've colored them "correctly", so I guess I'm a purist. Although the shade of green I did for Fizzy wasn't accurate and it's more of a lime green so she looks super weird. I might color a few ponies with different colors just to be a rebel!  :lol:

Yes! I owned both of them and that is how I played with them. For some reason, I made Bangles the older sister. And not only do they have identical coloring, both their names start with "B" and are two syllables, so that works in their favor of being related too!

While I love many ponies, my favorite is Fizzy. I love twinkle eyed ponies, plus I love her color scheme. I had her on my 7th birthday cake and I have a wall clock with her on it which I absolutely love! And I think she's super cute on the animated show.
