I didn't know he voiced Rafiki in both sequels! I know they got a new voice actor for Simba every time.
Sad to hear, he was very good at voice acting.

I'm relieved that bells still seem to be something that you get in game, and it seems like the leaf tickets (the premium currency) don't have too much importance unless you're really itching to get something done.
There's got to be a catch, though. I hope so dearly they never lock limited time exclusive items behind that currency.
Ugh, I'd hate that. I hope it's not what the Gameloft MLP app does where you have to complete something within a certain time limit, but doing so is impossible without a good premium currency stash or willingness to spend dollars.
I'm pretty excited, though! Hopefully this doesn't deter from whatever Switch releases they plan to release.  :hope:

I was eyeing them to collect but they pump out so many sets so fast...and the price bump at the stores didn't help. You're talking about the plush, right? There's a plastic set but it seems to sell less.
I'm sure kids like them, but they are pretty new. Yard sales or consignment shops may have some for cheap if the parents are unaware of the secondary market.

Not too big of a fan of the Fancy Pants babies, I'm always reminded of fakies when I see them. If I saw her around I'd pick her up, though, and her purple is a very nice shade.

Given my experience with mobile games so far, I am scared, very scared.

A simulation title like Animal Crossing combined with "micro"transactions is a disaster waiting to happen.

They sure are making a big deal about it by giving it its own Direct, as well.

*sigh* I just want to hear about the inevitable Switch Animal Crossing.
I'd die if bells were premium currency. Imagine forking over $2 for a digital shirt or sofa that you may grow tired of!
The Switch version better not pull an Amiibo Festival on us..I just want classic gameplay.

Any Animal Crossing fans? It looks like we are getting the mobile version we were promised last year!

It looks like no details are announced yet, but I was worried my shift would make me miss it live (EST time zone here!). I just gotta try to stay awake.

Welcome! G2 isn't appreciated enough, and your comic sounds very interesting! I wish I had the perseverance to make that many pages.  :art: I'd love to read it!

I usually stick to ponies, but I do have some of the Build-a-Bear Pokemon plush and some tomy figures.
I used to get Unicornos as well, but they're pretty expensive compared to ponies!

I haven't seen any pictures of her that show off her wings! They look so nice on her, and her cutie mark is adorable. I hope they still have her around Christmastime!

(apologies in advance for cellphone pictures!)
It turns out I live ridiculously close to an artsy shopping district, y'know, the ones with vintage stores and botiques. My friend went there a week or two ago and had showed me a pony shelf in a store. The prices were high, but I wanted to exhaust them of their stash. It was $12 dollars per pony, with the only G1 being Peachy and the rest common G3's that seemed WAY overpriced.
Thing is, she didn't tell me where she got the pony, she just said that it was in that shopping district. After weaving through many stores with dusty antiques, I found a small toy shop on the other side of the town. NOT where she found the pony, but looked very promising! I swear I had been in there before, but they didn't have any older ponies, just some G4 tins and a card set.
Of course, this was a "no pictures" store, but there were quite a few uncommon G1s! I scooped up three and promised to return to exhaust them of their supply. There was no wi-fi or mobile connection, so I couldn't do on-the-spot price checking, but I'd prefer to overpay for a pony I found in store than I would pay whatever shipping eBay has and wait for at least a week.
Apologies again for the poor cell phone pictures as WELL as the abysmal lighting.

Sunny Bunch is my first Merry-Go-Round pony! It's hard to see in the picture, but she had some metallic paint that came right off with a bit of Goof-Off (haven't seen any weird plastic effects yet...I've been rinsing them off quite a bit after usage so I'm assuming it's alright to use), and her hair cleaned up very nicely.

I'll be honest, I'm not as big of a fan of space-related ponies. I think she's cute, but I'm not crazy about them. The lady at the shop gave her to me for 4 dollars, though! She's gonna need more work, as some of her stars have faded/shed off, and her plastic just seems so...dull to me. It's too late in the year to sunfade, so I'll have to work on her later on...

Aaaand my favorite grab, Wave Runner! I've been attached to this girl since I first saw her, so I feel very blessed to find her so close to home. She's got some sticky spot on her I'll work with when I'm not working every evening...
I didn't end up buying any other ponies from the overpriced store, but my friend and I plan to go back to that store and pick up a few other ponies! They've got a perfume puff as well as a twinkle eye (one that came with a set, I believe? Where are her friends, though?) that I'll have to pick up on Friday.  :good:

Pony Corral / Re: Season 7: Episodes 22-26 discussion
« on: October 23, 2017, 01:19:05 PM »
I'm guilty of watching the leaks...
Once Upon a Zeppelin: I love when we get to see any sort of interaction with pony parents, so I really enjoyed this one! Twilight Velvet's daringness is really cute, and I was very amused by Flurry terrorizing the foals while their parents just watched on.
Secrets and Pies: Eh, I still feel like Rainbow Dash was in the wrong for not telling Pinkie about her dislike of pies. It was amusing enough, but I feel like i dragged on what could have been a one minute episode.
Uncommon Bond: This one dragged on FOREVER for me...maybe it was the message or how no one seemed to be listening to Starlight, but I just wanted this one to end. The ending wasn't very worthwhile, and if they really couldn't think of any other things the two have in common, they should accept that sometimes you just don't have anything in common. Maybe something about how they could find something new to share together?
Shadow Play: This is something that should have been built up more. We only got hints to the culmination in 3 episodes, and there was nothing hinting to Starswirl coming back. What's with the negativity in this season, anyway? I'd be heartbroken if my idol hated me! Why didn't that seem to bother Twilight? I hope there's episodes next season that include these ponies. If they were so important back then and were so important to history, they better have some spotlight in season 8.
My ranking would be: Seasons 1, 4, 2, 7, 3, 5, 6

Pony Corral / Re: POTD 10/23/17 Big Top & Toppy
« on: October 23, 2017, 01:06:07 PM »
I've got a bit of an ebay complex I've been trying to break (I didn't find this pony in the wilderness, she was handed to me on a silver platter! hardly counts!), so the only twin I've got is a twinless Milkweed.
I prefer Big Top's color scheme but Toppy's got the cuter pose. I think I prefer the sets with different colors rather than the ones that just have different poses, it's much easier to tell them apart!
