Yeah, just today I double checked and both her eBay and Paypal addresses do not match the updated address that she attempted to provide me.  I haven't sold very much stuff on eBay so I am still learning a lot of these little things and did not realize that would nullify my seller protection.

At this point it took her a week to get payment to me and it's been another week now since then and I'm rather tired of dealing with this and worrying about it.  So what's my next course of action?  Mail it to the address that eBay and Paypal have listed anyway?  Refund her money and cancel the whole thing? (which I'm not sure how to do but is sounding more and more logical).  I am not a fan of being in "limbo" like this and would rather get it resolved one way or another.

This is an issue I really haven't had to deal with before, so hopefully I can get some advice.  I recently had two auctions purchased by the same person, who has already sent me payment.  Unfortunately, she also sent me two different messages that said her address had changed and provided me with a new address -- that was slightly different in each message.  Looking at the addresses provided it seemed pretty clear that one was a slight typo of the other, but there was no easy way for me to tell which was which.

I sent her a message back immediately through eBay and mentioned that the items were ready to ship but I needed the address confirmed because of this issue, and didn't hear a response back.  This was on Sunday, so I sent her another message on Wednesday mentioning again that I could not ship her items until I had received a fixed address.

It's Monday now and I still haven't received a response.  I've gotten payment, and I've got the items packed up and ready to go, but I just can't send them until I hear back from her and she hasn't responded.  Is there anything else I can do in this situation?  How long do I wait, and what do I do once I give up on hearing from her?

For what it's worth, I have a MOC Twilight Sparkle with bangs that I've posted a couple of times on eBay for $4.99 starting bid and she hasn't sold.  I don't think she's very sought-after at the moment.

Both of the Windy Wing puzzles are gone, thanks for the interest though! :)  Also thanks for the price info, that's really helpful!

Haha, I can believe that!  I'd probably only buy an incomplete puzzle if I really needed one of those pieces to complete another puzzle, but that's just me!  :)

Goldilocks, sorry to say but neither of those is one I have!  Here is a list of the ones I have, at least at the moment:

2x 24 pc. Windy Wing puzzles (complete) -- as described above
24 pc. Momma and Baby Glory (complete)
24 pc. G2 birthday party puzzle (unopened)
24 pc. Peachy and Baby Cuddles (incomplete, missing one piece)
100 pc. Tropical ponies (complete)
24 pc. Squirmy and Tappy in nursery (complete)
100 pc. Dance n' Prance ponies (incomplete, missing one piece)

Like I said, I am trying to sort out a bunch of extras from my collection, and puzzles to me are pretty secondary to getting my extra ponies/extra baits to good homes. :)  Not sure if these are worth the effort to get rid of, basically!   I haven't really been active in the community since about thirteen (!) years ago, so I am really out of the loop!

I have two actually; both are complete, one has no box but the pieces are pristine.  The other has a box that's been scribbled on with orange marker, and a couple of the pieces have been outlined with orange but it's not really noticeable.

I take it there is still some interest in these then?  And Michelle53 if either description interests you, send me a message and we'll talk. :)

Pony Corral / Pony puzzles?

I haven't had to ask a question like this before, so I'm really sorry if I've posted it in the wrong place!  I've been (very) slowly going through and clearing out some of my extras/duplicates and have found a small pile of pony puzzles that I'd like to get rid of.  Most of them are G1 puzzles, most complete and some incomplete.  My question is whether or not people buy these?  Would it even be worth trying to sell off the incomplete ones, or would it be a waste of time?

These are all wonderful, but I absolutely adore Loki and Thor, especially their helmets!  Great job!

Hey there!  Thought I would share the custom pony I just finished, Fizzy.  The original Fizzy is totally one of my favorites, so I had a lot of fun with this!

Customs / Re: Chalk Pastels- Discuss!
« on: December 01, 2012, 08:25:41 AM »
I've used chalk pastels before, but not for ponies.  I think they're fantastic when you're trying to add weathering (like to Gundam kits) or 3D shading on things like food minis or garage kits.  This is my usual method for application:

- Tear or cut a square of sandpaper (I usually use 400 grit, and the square is about the size of a post-it note)
- Choose your chalk pastel(s), then rub against the sandpaper to get an appropriate amount of fine dust.  This also creates a "palette" to work from, and you can rub more than one pastel against the same sandpaper to mix colors.
- Keep a dedicated paintbrush to use for application.  I use an older paintbrush, and cut the bristles pretty short, maybe about 1/4" or so but no longer.
- Gently rub the dry paintbrush against your chalk dust, then against the surface of whatever you're working on.  You're basically using a similar technique to applying make-up at this point!
- Seal with dullcote, etc.

A few things to keep in mind: The chalk shading isn't really "complete" until you seal it, because you can still easily wipe it off (intentionally or not) until then.  Also, when using chalk pastels it's much better to use them when the color of the chalk is darker than the surface you're working on.  I've never really had success using chalk pastels for a lightening effect, it just doesn't really work.  Also also, keep in mind that the color of the shading will change slightly once it's sealed.  For the most part, this means that the shading is going to be darker than it was before it was sealed, but the amount very much depends on the color so it's worth experimenting.

As for sets, I've bought a set from Amazon (Sargent) and some no-name brand from Hobby Lobby, and both work equally well.  At least in my experience, brand here doesn't matter nearly as much as if you were using them for normal application.

Hope this helps!  Please let me know if any of this was confusing.  Also, if you're interested I could always take some pictures to show you what I'm talking about a bit more.

Wonderful job, she's super adorable! (also, I would totally buy her if she were real!)
