I'm loving these sales because I was able to get some ponies I've been wanting! I got Banana Bliss and Lucky Clover (I just love Banana Bliss' colors, she is too cute; and Lucky Clover was a must!). I also got Granny Smith, so happy to have her! I did manage to get Zephyr this past event, hoping to get Tree Hugger too. I missed Bramble, but think I might be able to get the second event deer if I can keep myself on time. We'll see!
Oh my ID code is e383701; just thought I'd include it since I've never posted in this thread before ^u^

(This is kinda chaotic, bear with me; I collect a lot of different things hehe)
Drow/Dark Elf-Related Things: 13 books, 2 plushies, 7 figurines
Model Horses: Model horses were a love I got from my mom. My family collectively has well over 200 I believe (not including the dolls and accessories), although we're planning on downsizing soon. Most of them are Breyers but I also have a few Stones and Hartlands.
Bella Sara: 274 cards + 1 poster (both my sister and I were HUGE fans of Bella Sara)
Porcelain Animals (Mostly Cats): Maybe around 20 of these
Ty Giraffes: I think I have around 10 now? I could be wrong.
MicroPets: I had a small collection of MicroPets cats when I was little, but I only have 2 left now (Tug and Coco). Quite sad; I really loved those little things.
Furbys: 2
BJDs: 5 full + 1 loose head (1 SD, 1 SD head, 1 YoSD, and 3 Tinies).
Horsman Baby Dolls: 2
Madam Alexander: Perhaps around 10-15-ish? Counting the McDonalds ones.
American Girl: 2
MH: 2
Barbies: Around 10-20
Other Dolls: I have a few misc dolls (mostly porcelain), perhaps around 10.
Anime/Manga: 13 manga volumes, 3 anime DVDs
Anime Plushies/Figurines: 8 plushies, 1 figurine
Dragon Stuff: 20-25 random dragon plushies/figurines, 6 random books on dragons including 1 vintage comic book (I collect random dragons, mostly plastic toys with a few plushies of varying brands. I also collect the Dragonology series and I currently have all the books, 2 of the cardboard hanging figures, and 1 plush.)
Cowrie Shells: 5 (I believe?)
And like...two boxes of teddy bears/misc. stuffed animals, quite a few of which are Build-A-Bear, Ty, and Webkinz.

visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI always stop to check clover patches in hopes of finding a four-leaf clover but I've never found a single one...until this morning. It was growing in a patch just outside our barn! What are the odds that I'd find a four-leaf clover the day before St. Patrick's Day?

Hello from another Okie!!!!
You're a blacksmith?! That's cool! My great-grandfather was a blacksmith! I wonder how much techniques have changed since then...
There are several OK collectors in the community. Maybe we should have our own meet-up one of these days!
Hey there! Super excited to see another Okie, I wasn't sure how many collectors there were here haha. That's awesome! Honestly the hammering and heating techniques haven't changed much, according to some of the older blacksmiths I've met. It's more that gas forges are more popular than coal and wood forges now. I kinda prefer coal myself, though, as that's what my local blacksmith community mainly uses and it's just a lot more authentic IMO. Oh man I would love that! We definitely should!

Love seeing him brought to 3D life! Very nicely captured and lovely work.
Thank you so much! Wow, great job! The G1 baby mold really does fit him! He looks great
It really does! It would probably suit a few others with the same body type, too. I was thinking of doing Coriander Cumin from 'Spice Up Your Life' the next time I get one of those fakies (which...with the way I'm picking up pony lots lately, shouldn't be too long lol). Thank you! Ahhh I adore Cattail!! It's awesome to see a custom of him, and such a great looking one at that Love that you made all of his little clothes and accessories!
Ahh thank you! I just adore him so much, his design was so interesting and he's such a cutie just in general. I loved making the accessories; craft foam is ultimately my favorite material to work with, if I'm being perfectly honest. It's cheap, versatile, and holds paint and glue well! He looks great, and I love his little vest! Using yarn for his hair was such a good idea, I could see it working for a Meadowbrook custom, too.
Thank you bunches! His vest was fun haha I went through a good three vests before I actually ended up with one that looked semi-decent. I'm glad you think the yarn looks alright, I was unsure (I didn't want him to end up like some of my early Breyer customs; I shudder at the thought) but it was a lot easier to work with than I thought it'd be. I really would love to make a Meadowbrook to go along with him someday, definitely will use yarn for her too! I haven't seen the episode but you did an amazing job, the bait you chose is perfect for this and I'm particularly in awe of the repainted eyes. Great work!
Thank you so much! The episode he appears in is really interesting and great, possibly one of my favorites! ^u^ Oh my gosh, that looks so good! I love him!
Ah thank you!

Oh cool!
Yup yup! Congrats on your new ponies!
Thanks! Congrats! Those g1s look to be in great condition!
They really are! Thank you! Very cool. I love love love the pink hair. What a great find
Yes me too! The pink hair on G1s is somewhat uncommon to find out in the wild since they're nearly always completely faded, at least from what I've seen. So I was so happy to see her hair was still pink! Awesome! I love Newborns.
Same, I think they may be some of my faves now! I love hearing about people finding g1s in thrift stores. They look great and the pink hair looks awesome. The person who owned her must have been careful with her.
Me too! I was so happy to bring these two cuties home. They barely had any dirt on them and their hair is so well-kept (like I said, Tattles' tail is silky smooth), they definitely must have been important to their previous owner. Interestingly enough, the store we found them at was the same one I found newborn Shaggy at last time I went! It's a newborn pony haven I guess haha

There's this minor character from Season 7 Episode 20 of FiM named Cattail. He's a bayou pony and I fell in love with him when I watched the episode. So when I noticed I had a G1 baby fakie lying around that had the perfect body type for him, I decided, why not? This is my first completed custom and I am completely stoked with how he came out! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginHow He Was Made:- I removed the fakie's mane and tail completely, and then cleaned off the original eye paint with non-acetone nail polish remover - I painted the base coat with acrylic paint that I mixed to create the perfect color for Cattail's body, and the painted his facial features/cutie mark on. - I applied a bit of gloss varnish to his eyes and nostrils, and then sealed him with matte spray lacquer. - I used yellow yarn, combed out a bit to better resemble hair, for his mane, tail, and facial hair. His mane and facial hair were glued directly to him using low-heat hot glue, and his tail was put into the old tail hole and fixed to the inside with hot glue. I then used yellow thread to tie his hair into its style. - I made his vest out of green felt, and the symbols on it were hand-painted with acrylic paint. - His hat, bandanna, and hair ties were all made with painted craft foam pieces that were glued together. - His two necklaces were both made from painted elastic cord, and the brown one has three gold rings crimped around it.

While I grew up with G3, I had (and still have!) both TAF Dancing Butterflies and TAF Baby Dancing Butterflies when I was little because I found them as a pair in a thrift store. In addition to that, I had a few other mail order exclusive G1s such as Baby Stockings. I didn't really know about their rarity, but I played with them very gently and they survived my childhood with no extra flaws aside from a little surface dirt that I was able to easily clean off. Then again, I always washed my toys after I played with them, and I knew about tail rust from the pony research I'd done so that was thankfully avoided.
I did also find Rosey Posey when I was about 12-13 years old but I don't know if that counts because by that point I was pretty much only collecting them and not playing with them (aside from giving them spa days lol, which I never did with her).
