I prefer proper model glue - you will find it in most hobby stores or model shops. Its designed to adhere toy plastics so it works great with ponies if you do feel the need to reglue a head back on.

Hi again!  :frolic:  You have such amazing knowledge! Can you recommend a specific UK brand?

Here are my photos as promised;

Hi Ravengusty, baby nightcap looks very cute indeed! Is she a first tooth pony?

Also Starflower is my favorite pony but she never seems to come my way. Do you have artwork? You seem to have good taste (IMO) =)

Do fakies count?

I saw these 'Baby Donkey' fakies and my heart melted, I had to have them! :lovey:

OMG! Cute Lanards! They are awesomely wierdly cutie! Great discovery.

My 'love at first site' was Blumenglockchen or Bluebell a peach pegasus with blue hair and flower symbol.  I normally buy ponies for £10 or less and do them up but I bought her as a birthday present for myself and just wanted her in good condition then and there with no worries. So I paid about £22 for her on ebay including postage, sometimes you just have to throw money at something. She's near mint so I'm pretty pleased.

My current grails are all the Year 3 Rainbows with sparkle symbols - harder to get as I like in the UK! So if anyone is upgrading please let me knowwww!

Hello there, tub digging is really embarassing! But from now on I shall have no shame. Or maybe I need to borrow a 6 year old kid from somewhere to help me =)

Pony Corral / Aleene's Original Tacky Glue - so far I'm unimpressed
« on: July 11, 2013, 06:21:53 PM »
It just hasn't stuck anything, the two parts just peel off each other with the absolute minimum force. Could I be using it wrong?

I need a glue to stick a head to a body where if you pick the pony up by head alone the neckline gapes due to a damaged neck seal. Its ripped more than half the way round, otherwise the pony is mint it's most annoying. An ebay disaster.

Anyhoo can anyone recommend a better glue that's closer to the Hasbro original glue? I've tried E-6000 as well with even worse results it simply doesn't stick pony vinyl.

I'd be so grateful for your secrets on this one!  ;)

Thanks guys! Just got my yellow and white bar jump and a turquoise fence today. I also made a green hedge jump with a white fence out of an old baco foil box, excite! I need to get a life for a few days now though ha ha.

But in the meantime I was thinking that ponies with classic back card stories to do with jumping are often in standing poses? I have NSS Posey and Hoscotch in the trotting poses. The expression on the face is a bit ditsy but at least they look like they are moving (although I think they are doing a dressage move but nevermind it's make believe). So if you have any suggestions as to ponies to use in teh Gymkhana photos I'd love to hear them! Butterscotch is definitely judging though, I just love her yellow symbols and toffee coloured eyes. Does anyone know whether the yellow symbol/toffee eyes version is definitely a variant that came with the gymkhana (as opposed to orange symbol and eyes)?

xXx

Ohhhh that's so wonderful. You're a kind friend to give ponies away like that. :)

Most of my doubles go to my little cousin, and I've bought her some G1s before. She loves horses. We'd better feed the habit early. Heheh. One of us! One of us!

But in all seriousness, it warms my heart to think of some modern-day children playing with G1s. They're just a great, classic toy.

He he, the host sisters are like 21 and 35 but maybe they will get passed on to some kids eventually.

It's so nice to pass them on to your cousin! There aren't any kids in my real or host families I don't know what's wrong with everyone. Actually I do, it's various things. If I didn't have ponies I'd have cats

Thanks PartyPony

So does anyone you know irl like ponies?xx

They hover like bumble bees asking me loads of questions about them and cooing and going awww... I never thought anyone else would be interested in my hobby but I think they all want one of their own! Or maybe they are just being kind and supporting me in the only thing I am interested in at the moment =)

Anyway I reckon I won't be able to get any on ebay till given away about 5. It's actually nice to give away ponies with flaws to non-collectors because they don't seem to notice the odd scuff or trimmed tail and they really appreciate them. I think both my other host sisters will want one and I think my real sister as well ;) . So one Sunlight has already gone to my host father who's in his 60's, and I just pledged a Cherrie's Jubilee to my host sister. My host mother is still staunchly disinterested but I think I need to get hold of a Gusty for when she cracks ;)

MLP Nirvana / Re: Baby Lemondrop UK or German?
« on: July 10, 2013, 05:16:45 PM »
Aw, nice. I just got UK baby Lemon Drop in a job lot that cost me £15.70 including train fair to go and collect them. All the others have one or more of haircut, missing tail, CHEWED EARS UGH, cancer spots. I have treated them all with loving care but they aren't suitable for my collection without serious work. So unless I bother to put them on Ebay I really paid £15.70 just for baby Lemondrop! Luckily she is so cute I don't really mind (right of picture below)

OK I'm gonna amend the requisite for aiming these stories at kids. Too much comedy to be missed:

They are so comfy. Also I can stand up in the T shirt without my boobs going south, yeay for Lycra!!

So I bought a spare set of size 12 - 14 in case anyone wants to swap for something on my wish list (below sig). I am quite into just keeping them too though! So bright. I think I'm finally having my pink phase.
