I'd read the dialogue for this years ago, & I always wanted to hear it.
Just gave it a listen & omgggg, it was adorable!   ^.^
That music at the beginning's precious. Three of the rainbow ponies sounded pretty hilarious though  xD
I loved the lone voice of sanity however. I'll pretend that was Sunlight.
I wonder where Skydancer & Starshine had gone gallivanting off to.
Did Hasbro produce any more of these story tapes? If not it's a shame, because it's such a cute idea  :3

Cherry Spices: gorgeous, unique colour scheme  :)
Firecracker Burst: snazzy design, & I love firework-themed ponies
Pepperdance: adorable name & theme
Sugar Grape: I'm a sucker for purple & white together
Heartstrings: that colour scheme's lovely :3

Here's hoping someone can shed some light on this. :3
When I was a kid, one of my favourite books was a big fantasy collection; various stories about dragons, dwarves & fairies etc. The front cover was beige, designed to look like a suitcase, if I remember correctly.
A couple of the illustrations really stick out in my mind. One was a unicorn flying through the night sky with a basket on its back, scattering tiny glowing people out onto a clifftop.
There was also a family of dragons, & the father was captured by a wizard & forced to do labour & escort him places. I also recall a scene from Gulliver's Travels with tiny people floating in bubbles, & towards the end, there was a huge battle between various races.
I know this is a shot in the dark, but do any of these memories ring a bell to anyone? I'd love to track down this book again. Thanks in advance.  :)

Pony Corral / Re: Where did you play with your ponies as a child?
« on: January 25, 2012, 09:29:57 AM »
I took mine on the front lawn with all their accessories, & took photos to make my own little storybooks.   :P
I believe I still have some lying around somewhere. Oh, the adventures they had, climbing the huge bush & jumping over the baby ferns.  xD
I also played with them a lot in the house. I think I was afraid to take them to school in case they got lost.

I've been playing Horse Isle on ma laptop (so addictive!) & Pokemon Sapphire on DS.
It's my first time playing an Gameboy gen Poke' game, & I think it's really charming & cute compared to the later versions.  ^-^

Pony Corral / Re: Who is in your childhood herd?

I grew up with G2s & loved every minute of it
I had:
Ivy with the beauty parlour
Princess Twinklestar
Princess Trixiebelle
Princess Crystal (my favourite!)
Princess Morning Glory
Queen Sunsparkle
Sunsparkle & park playset
Satin Splash (another favourite!)
Dainty Dove & chapel
Sweetberry & magic kitchen
Cupcake
Moonshadow
I also had the Friendship Gardens computer game, & a bunch of merchandise, including magazines & a snazzy watch  x3

I think that was it for my little herd. Sadly I don't have any G2s currently, although I'd love to buy some of these gals back.  :)

Pony Corral / Re: Have you ever unboxed a MIB G1 pony.... :O
« on: January 19, 2012, 12:21:47 PM »
I was a 90s kid, so I never experienced the joy of opening a G1  :<
If I had the chance to free a MOC, I would, but only if I loved the pony enough to keep her afterwards. :)

Off Topic / Re: Curious: how did you choose your user name?

Back in the day I had a strange obsession with flavour names like vanilla & cinnamon.  xD
I added the bean because it sounded cute.  ^.^
On pretty much all the forums I belong to, I'm named after some form of scent/flavour.

Off Topic / Re: What are you reading at the moment?
« on: January 18, 2012, 12:23:43 PM »
I'm slowly working my way through a large pile of Stephen King books.
I'm on Skeleton Crew right now, one of his short story compilations. I just can't get enough of his writing. xD  I'm also reading a bunch of true crime stuff on the side, I'm a sucker for that sort of thing.
I really wish I had more time to read. I'm a massive bookworm, but I only have an hour set aside each day for books  D:

Pony Corral / Re: Your Favourite Episode

G1 Midnight Castle, hands down.   I adore that thing. The artwork's so gorgeous & whimsical, & I love the dark adventure-type stuff. Plus the song at the beginning; that title sequence sums up the nostalgic wonder of My Little Pony perfectly.  :3
I only saw 3 episodes as a kid, & The Magic Horseshoes is my favourite of them. Watching it now reminds me of how magical everything seemed back then.  :'< Good times, good times.
