Spoiler well, dutch fans were saying it is. its at least sunburst's, as she has his mark. and it was announced that starlight would end up with someone, so it appears to be theirs. Spoiler I see people assuming that that one pony is Starlight/Sunburst's daughter, but afaik it's never stated/implied. - She's way older than Pinkie's, or even Big Mac/Sugar Belle's kids.
- She sees Starlight & Sunburst when she's shown around the school (
seemingly for the first time), and they don't seem to acknowledge each other as parents/child, at least the way that the other kids did. - Looking at a sub that someone did, it appears that she doesn't care about friendship/making friends, thinks it's a waste of time, and wants to quit the school because of it. That'd be weird coming from Starlight's daughter.
- There's no romantic implication between Starlight and Sunburst, at least in these last 3 episodes (did they hint at it earlier? I haven't kept up with the show).
She certainly looks like their daughter and bears a striking resemblance to them, but she may just be a random student of Twilight's. Guess we'll have to wait for the English release.

Ugh, me too. Maybe we’ll get a better fandom with the next generation. Anyway, I haven’t seen the episode but my thoughts on the images I’ve seen:
Spoiler oh I’m thrilled at what happens to Cozy. It’s going to make so many people mad and I’m here with my popcorn totally ready for this. She deserved exactly what happens to her, and I don’t give a single darn about her age.
Baby Cheesy-Pie is the absolute cutest!
Oh my goodness Scootaloo’s still got those baby wings even as an adult? I feel so terrible for her. She’s failed as a Pegasus, the poor girl.
Big Boi Spike is...uhhhh... interesting? Do he and Rarity get together when he gets older? I honestly kinda hope so.
Lyra and Sweetie Drops. Ohhhh man they confirmed it! That makes me so very happy!

Starlight doesn’t end up with Trixie? This isn’t the news I wanted to hear. Of course, they had to make her end up with Sunburst because they needed a kid to carry on the student tradition. But man, the one ship I shipped didn’t ship in the end.
Do they imply Granny Smith is gone? Older AJ has a shawl, and Big Mac and Sugarbelle run Sweet Apple Acres. So...is Granny out of the picture now? That’s honestly depressing.
I can’t wait to see these episodes play out!

Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich have a child and boy is she a cutie.
Trixie cleans up and becomes a very professional Counselor.
The biggest of all:
Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst have a daughter who becomes Twilight's student as she follows in her footsteps about the magic of friendship.
Fluttershy and Discord are in a romantic relationship and he is seen giving her lunch before going to work with the Mane 6 as they teach Starlight's daughter. They both run the animal sanctuary together as Discord opens dimensional rifts the animals gallop through.
It is implied that Sunset Shimmer had returned to Equestria. Tempest and Capper are seen at the coronation reception.

Spoiler I'm taking it that Trixie and Rainbow Dash don't hitch up with anyone? If so, definitely happy, since they usually have every single character paired up and it feels so forced.

Thanks for all the thoughtful responses everyone!
I do think that the hunt (and extensively setting up the room) were more the fun part for me than just the "having"
Reading through all your replies, I do think I should at least try sorting. Probably Kondo style- see how each one makes me feel. Come up with ones I definitely wont let go, ones I definitely can, and ones Im unsure of. I can probably just pack up the unsures and keep or sell the rest.
Part of how Im feeling is guilt that Im "giving up" on this hobby/collection. So hearing other collectors validate that its okay to walk away feels good. And yall are right, if the fun is in the hunt then theres nothing wrong with starting over if I change my mind!
Im definitely feeling a bit better about this. Though still rather overwhelmed with the actual process...
If the getting is the best part then maybe you could buy then resell to others? like cheap lots off ebay/craigslist/flea markets? maybe like restore? just a thought.

I'd personally keep them...But if they are making you feel distress then don't. they were important to you at on point but obviously things change. I impulsively got rid of my Barbies years ago and felt regret as there were a lot I loved. They were newer ones, sure, but I got rid of things that I enjoyed for years. I don't regret letting them go as much as I wished I had thought it over first, or kept a few in case. I never (really lol) got back into them but what if I had? Point is, maybe get rid of them slowly, starting with the commons, and see if you just want less. Or close them off, find another collector to hold on to them for you. What's your favorite gen? Maybe keep ponies from one gen. I hope you figure it out!
