Customs / Re: Is it ok to get a custom fixed?
« on: October 02, 2012, 04:19:08 PM »
my suggestion (and maybe someone already said this... didn't read second page)
is post a pic of the pony here. more than likely if the original customizer is still active or here they might see it. or someone might recognize it and you can get in contact with the original customizer.
and you can just ask them directly. would settle alot of debate.

edit-ok should have finished reading all the post. seems like your on the right track good luck.
i personally would have him fixed. or if it really bothers you. request another customizer to do a similar design and sell this one. it may insult the artist, but sometimes that happens. not everyone is going to like every kind of art. but fixing it will be hard just because of paint matching. and doesn't look brush painted.

Pony Corral / Re: How do you react when you lose an auction?
« on: October 02, 2012, 02:29:24 AM »

I so relate with the whole adrenaline rush thing.  Clammy hands, hot and cold flashes, racing heart... craziness.  Thankfully now, as a seasoned eBayer, that feeling has lessened a great deal.  And like you said, if you wait long enough, eventually the item you wanted will crop back up again, and usually at a better time.  Not always, but often.  And at the end of the day, if we're honest, it's stuff we want, not stuff we need.  It's tough, but life does go on without ponies.  :P
true that! though my biggest temptation was always pokemon. i've only bought a few ponies for my niece, some for my friend (sajinokami on arena) and then just recently from someone who only had them posted in there from arena. but i'm super excited! got a non-flocked wind-whistler and northstar! no i don't have to finish deflocking the ones i have!! sorry get a little excited. pretty proud to say. even with all my buying in the last month only 5 of the ponies are for my permanent collection. the rest are gifts. plus i'll be selling or trading about 60 so ponies by the end of this month. do you think auction or arena are better?

when i first started ebay, i would get a serious adrenline rush every time an auction was getting close. though at this time everything was dial up, so sometimes when you refreshed it the auction would be over before it got back.
i used to get super mad, angry, sad and sometimes depressed about an auction.
what i've learned over the years is that if you wait long enough the same item or close to will appear again. yeah sometimes the deal isn't as great, but the timing in your life is better.  like maybe you have a little more money next time you see it. either way. i take it in strides, and set a limit for each auction. of course there are some i want to win more. but i haven't had many that make me upset not to get anymore.

For Trade / Re: Dollymix, G2, G4 for Trade!
« on: September 29, 2012, 08:30:44 PM »
i'm interested in apple blossom from g4 (the earth baby)
but i'm not sure what you consider comparable. trade wise. i consider it worth about 4$ or so, but i'm not sure what you accept in trade.
i plan on using it for a custom, so i don't really want to trade alot for it.

@Vampasaurus- do you still have the mcpony-rainbow dash and the orange lollipop one?
those are two i know my niece doesn't have. feel free to pm me. (i have a few extras i haven't given her yet to propose for trade, but she love "twins" and triplets. so if she finds out i have them it will be hard to trade. try to post a pic tonight.

i think it would also be nice to have starter supplies like rehairing tools, airbrushing starters and things like that. i've been finding myself running all over town to get the things i need... a little frustrating. i prefer to buy online, but don't want to pay for shipping from 3 different places.

also just have a variety of tool for rehairing for people at different levels and dedication. just a thought. even if you had a whole new section of beginner kit, that had dyes, sealer, rehairing tool and one or two skeins of hair. i'd be interested in that. though sadily i'm thinking i might have some of those by the time the shop is up. but as a beginner i would love something like that.
