oh what would be really cool for the wings is a thin wire. maybe even a paper clip. with a white nylon stocking material tightened over it.
you could bunch it, and tie it off and cut off the excess. look much airier.

the shapes look really good, but the connection point don't look as secure.
i know there's a few different methods of connecting joints and piece with clay.
one is cross hatching technique and is usually used in ceramic or pottery clay for things like handles on a mug or the like. but it really depends on the clay. for things like fimo or sculpty i usually just kneed the area that that i'm joining. if that makes sense.
what kind of clay is it?

Honestly, it's tough to answer a question like that. As a collector, I might say that a few of those ponies are "too valuable," (like the Sunshine or Summer Wing ponies), but at the end of the day they really are just toys. If you love your niece and want to spoil her with MLPs, that is completely up to you. What we collectors don't know won't hurt us. 
Out of curiosity, if you do decide to sell any of these, where are you located?
thanks that's a very good point. i'm in minnesota usa. i have about 20 other ponies that i won't give her. some of the ponies... well aren't perfect in my mind anyway. and a few are definitely bait candidates. Seaflower, Sweet Notes, Lady Flutter, Dots n hearts, Sweet pocket (bee still attached) -- I'm actually looking for these ones, so if you decide to sell, please let me know
i will keep that in mind. lady flutter is less than perfect (got a haircut from last owner). it all goes down this weekend. nervous and excited all at the same time. i think by tues i'll have an official trade/sale thread up.

i'd be interested in doing an art trade. with anyone. maybe if we got enough people willing to do it, we could do it like the custom swaps they have.
