Here's what happened. The forum software was upgraded and our add-ons became automatically uninstalled. Think of them as apps on a phone, if you like. Or mods on a game. They add some useful functions, or fun cosmetics or even just silly forum toys. Like the [you] function for example. We think that the old forum software combined with the old forum add-ons might have been causing some of the issues that have plagued the site lately. If those add-ons have updates available that are compatible with the upgraded site, and the add-on was a very useful one, we'll do our best to reinstall it. If there is no updated add-on, or it wasn't that big of a deal to being with, we'll have to find a similar one or do without.  That forum greetings one was one of those add-ons, and perhaps we'll bring it back. If not, we'll miss it but it wasn't a vital need to keep the forum running well.

I don't see the side boxes, either, or the poll. I don't even see the option for the boxes in the admin parts of the Arena. Hmm....

I played it and it destroyed my battery power.  (My phone has one of those faulty USB-C ports and it now takes a couple days for the phone to charge to 100%, even though I have it plugged in pretty much all the time. I think I'll have to get a new phone that actually charges before I can play the game too much.) But I was enjoying it. It makes me excited to see what they have in store for us on the Switch.

Sorry for the lack of posts. I have more or less kept up with house cleaning. But walking, not so much. The snow came at the start of the month, and I lack motivation (and comfortable/safe snow boots) to walk out there.

Ugh, I hate snow and ice. Where's the comes Dec. 23rd at midnight and leaves at 1 a.m. on Boxing Day option?  I suppose that's not so realistic, so I picked December 21st.
I'm totally with you on that! We're supposed to get a teensy above 0°C in the coming days. Just long enough to make ice a thing everywhere, I'm sure, but not enough to make much of a dent in the snow. I'm gonna hide under the bed.  LOL

      It was raining lightly here on Halloween, and overnight it snowed. It's been here ever since. We even got 39 cm (15.35 in) of snow last week. I have a love/hate relationship with snow. Mostly hate because I am not a big winter fan. It never snowed in my hometown in Arizona. I always wanted to find out what it was like in my childhood. (Oh, the irony). That said, I can sometimes enjoy the beauty of snow. Especially if there is also hoarfrost on all the branches and things outside. It can be quite breathtaking. Also, it can be very bright outside when there is a clear blue sky and sunbeams reflecting that snow. One of my favorite things about winter is when we get those shaped snowflakes. To answer my own poll, I have a temptation to say "never" is a good time to snow, but I imagine even I would miss it after awhile. (Miss it a little bit). So perhaps there can be snow for just one month, the month that winter starts. Then it can go away until next year. I'll say December 1st. How do you feel about snow? Do you get snow where you live?

Speaking of pumpkins and cats.... I think it was in the 4th grade that I dressed as a jack a lantern and my bestest best friend dressed as a cat. I have a picture somewhere. Maybe even on Photobucket? I might have to look for it. My pumpkin was made by my ever-talented dad using paper mache on a wire frame that he welded together. It was fine to stand around in, but sitting down was impossible.  Such fun memories. EDIT: I found the picture! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginEND EDIT

It looks okay for a mobile game. Too bad you can't play offline. I will give it a try and hopefully it will tide me over long enough for some news about AC Switch.

I so totally would if my SAD didn't pop up in the fall and winter. Fall used to be my favorite season. But despite all that, I still like some aspects of it. Like stepping on yellow leaves and hearing the crunch. There's something satisfying about that. Almost like popping bubble wrap.

I've been getting my goals met more or less. For my own amusement, I checked to see how much mileage I put on these shoes since I bought them this spring. If I remember correctly which day I bought them, I believe I've gone over 350 miles in 'em. I love walking.

Being a native of Southwestern Arizona, I had my fair share of spicy Mexican food. Mmmm... boy! I'd probably answer with "medium." I had to give up nightshades, however, when I started my autoimmune protocol elimination diet. I haven't tried reintroducing nightshades yet, as they generally give people the most problems who've been on the same diet. Even worse than wheat.  I broke out into hive for 6 hours one day, when a small drip of my daughter's chili beans got into my food. ... Anyway! But I loved green chilies. I couldn't handle the jalapenos that well, I admit. I still remember vividly when my younger cousin offered me some spicy peanuts many many years ago. Here's the item in question. Made my eyes water like no one's business! It was quite the amusing joke and I still giggle at it to this day.

Today, I was quite productive. I spent time reviewing my memory verses. I went on a walk. I didn't do the chores myself, but since my daughter is out of school now and not yet employed, I got her to do some work around the house. I also wrote a blog entry on LiveJournal for the first time since January. Felt good.
