Bought new g2s Waterlily, Miss Painter, Golden Dream and Merry Moments. visitors can't see pics , please register or login Golden Dream has a few issues - dry frizzy hair that wasn't entirely fixed by my flat iron plus some very faded symbols, but I love her a lot anyway. I like yellow ponies and the little pink heart on her cheek is so cute visitors can't see pics , please register or login MM is a fairly common pony that I hadn't gotten a hold of yet, so getting her was really worth it. I just love her green color combined with that dark pink. visitors can't see pics , please register or login Water Lily has a dry somewhat frizzy tail too but she's just so beautiful in those blue colors. visitors can't see pics , please register or login Lastly Miss Painter, her color combination is just so striking. Especially that bold red and green. I'm so happy with them 48

I haven't tasted a lot of cheeses, but I really love fried/grilled Halloumi. Too bad it's expensive around here.
I can't have it anymore since I went low-carb, but I always liked the norwegian brown cheese. The christmas edition is a little sweeter (more caramellized) and has extra spices in it (cardamom, I think) in it. I tasted a small piece of it once and it's like a dessert all on its own, would be great with berries. It's delicious 49

I've never seen her before, but if she's a fakie then she's a really good one; look at that symbol and the eye!

Pony Corral / Re: How much should a pony cost?« on: December 01, 2015, 01:31:55 PM »
Norway just upped the prices of regular standard brushables by 30% making the price around 15usd and Norway may be a more expensive country in general but really, that's WAY more than what they're worth and I don't buy ponies anymore and certainly not anything else than the regular brushables because the prices are always horrendous. And it annoys me because they're not worth that much. Stop. Good thing they almost never have anything that interests me.
Another interesting thing is that MLP here stays on the shelves for a long time. They never get featured anywhere (like front or second page in catalogues), there's little demand for them. They only get a small section in the toy aisles. "Not a lot of people are interested in MLP really," a store employee once told me. Fun fact: I don't think FiM ever aired past season 2 in Norway. I certainly can't find anything on s3 here. I guess it didn't hit off. Which means that in Norway, and other countries where FiM wasn't the smashing hit it was in the states, MLP has to rely on brand recognition and the toys. The brand recognition is there - I sell g3s I found at flea markets (and fixed up) on Norway's biggest secondhand selling site and it always sells. Norwegians love good clean g3s and 'My Little Pony' is a popular search term on the site. They don't seem to love small expensive lesser-quality constantly-repeating My Little Pony because when the show isn't popular, there's not much that makes your kid go "I WANT a My Little Pony in particular instead of all the other toys in here" And if it loses it's good reputation now, that brand recognition which makes people buy MLP now - "I know what it is so my kid probably wants it" - isn't gonna survive. 60
Pony Corral / Re: Show me your "quirky" ponies!« on: November 29, 2015, 12:54:51 PM »Gasp that Ivy is so cool!! How'd she get discoloured so evenly? She just looks like some kind of variant! She was covered in a thick layer of yellow paint that fortunately got scraped off easily (there are still some spots under her feet and by her hair, though) so she's nearly all evenly colored |
