They are so tiny and cute and I want them. Though I foresee some of them falling victim to the dreaded vacuum cleaner.

My favorite Target still has the shelf tags but once again no ponies. Haven't asked anyone if they're restocking or if I missed said restocking. They did have the pretty parlor which I was so tempted to buy but I restrained myself.

Nine times out of ten I find fakies of the recent ones or G4s of which I don't collect. Half the fun is holding out hope and searching. Best find so far happened last weekend and it wasn't MLP. It was a Breyer and my top" hope to find it" while thrifting. So it can still happen, good luck to everyone who's currently thrifting.

I found a Party Cake at my local Rite Aide in 2011, so not that long ago :P And she lingered for several years until she disappeared one day. Kicking myself for not picking her up, that little bit of pony history.

I've only found G1s in the wild a few times but my two favorites.
-First G1 was NSS Cherries Jubilee in a tiny family run thrift store in a tiny rural town. My college roommate must have thought I was nuts for asking for three dollars. Because I'd left my wallet at home and I really, really wanted Cherries.
-Found a tailless Moondance at a small sci-fi con last May. She was in a bin of odd n ends toys which I dug through on a hunch.
Both are nothing special but they meant something to me, Cherries is sadly long gone but I have Moondancer.

Reminds me of going to vintage car shows and the debate over vintage vs classic and where to draw the line. Get off my lawn kids! Wow! can't believe it's been that long, I was just getting started living on my own and going to jr college. G3 was my introduction to this forum *waves*.

Remember walking into Toys R Us and stumbling on a display of the first four, or was it six? My memory is fuzzy. :P  And nearly died of shock, it was so much fun to buy them new and I still like finding them while thrifting.

Thanks for posting the photos and sharing the information, I love learning about G1 poses. Going to try to hit up the Target that's a bit farther away this week. When I was there two weeks ago they had the scented wave of rainbows and I might buy Sunlight and Parasol. Since I've never seen them in the wild due to how popular they are around here.

My only real issue with my favorite local big chain thrift is they use to
have hand carry baskets plus shopping carts. Now it’s just shopping carts which makes navigating tricky. Now I skip them and bring my own tote.

No ponies at my Target but they still have shelf tags. So I’m not worried.
Thanks for the comparison photos, didn’t know the retro is in a different pose. Which I find fascinating.

I normally don’t shop at Ross but I’ll
happily search for these. I love the neon
coloring.

I’ve only seen the uni/pegs set twice, both in early November
and I did “they’ll be around later”.  This was at Target.

I've seen it here and it sort of amuses me. As I grew up relying on thrift shop purchases off and on.Back when nobody wanted to admit that they shoped there. So long as nobody is body checking (hockey term) it's fair game. Does it suck? Sure but thrifting has become popular and those of us who shop there have to contend with it.

I guard what I put in my basket jealousy cause I've seen people snag other folks items. Aside from that if I'm there at opening I people watch and hang out.

She's new to me and I want her. I never bought any of the Easter/spring themed ponies and I regret it.

When I called my insurance to ask about the status of them covering a prescription, the person offered to call the pharmacy and doctor's office for me. I'm deaf so talking to multiple people in multiple phone conversations stresses me out. Thanks, insurance. Totally sweet and totally unexpected.

Adore her coloring and had her back in the day which as someone else noted. 2004 has been how long gone?! feeling old :P  If I found her again I'd buy her.
