Well, I got them today, and I must say, I think the gamble will pay off! They mostly seem to be in great shape, with no obvious flaws like haircuts or cancer or giant marks. I won't know for sure, of course, until I attempt to clean them. There are a couple baits, but not many for a lot this size. Nothing super rare, though there's a quite nice Bangles and SS Twilight in the mix that I didn't see in the pictures. All of the ponies with fading pink hair still have very bright pink hair! It's kinda weird to see so many in their original state. There's a very badly worn Wind Whistler with gorgeous pink hair- anyone do de-flocking for a trade?? Also, more seaponies than expected, 2 adults and 5 babies. Not a whole lot of accessories, but a bunch a diaper boxes. Also, a princess hat, and Steamer's hat, which is odd since he isn't in the lot. Anyhow, I'm quite happy with how this turned out .

Obviously I think she's awesome . Mostly I love her name, and her deep blue color, there aren't many g1's that are so blue! I have her, my ratties chewed a bit on her ear and one leg, but that's ok, it gives her character. She's the only pony that gets to sit by my computer and go places with me.

I think the things people do in their sleep are often hilarious. One time my husband got out of bed and started picking up ponies from my collection. He's just pick them up and drop them, knocking most of them over in the process. I asked him what he was doing and he just mumbled some gibberish, so I told him to come back to bed. Then, for some reason, he was afraid I was really mad at him. Later he told me he'd been dreaming that there were candles in the ponies and they needed to be put out.
He also has a tendency to laugh and mumble in his sleep. Usually I can't make out what he's saying, but one time I heard very clearly, "I don't think a snake that size would be able to put siding on the house."

This is definitely the most elaborate and challenging thing I've ever done! It's based on the mythological hydra, a dragon-like beast with multiple heads. The body is from a styling pony and the heads are from regular g3's, so he's pretty big, just over a foot tall. For the necks I used perm rods, which allowed me to bend them into whatever shape I wanted, then sculpted over that with apoxiesculpt. Lots of apoxiesculpt in this one, definitely the better part of a 4lb container. Took me about a month and a half, working on it every day, to finish it. I guess I'll just call it Hydra pony for now, since I suck at naming things. I plan on bringing him to the fair with me, though I'm not sure how to pack him, I'm rather paranoid at the possibility of breakage. He will probably be available for sale there, though I have no idea how to price something so big and elaborate, so suggestions are welcome. Or maybe a silent auction? visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or login
