Haha, I'm the same way Alatariel. If I find a spare outfit I like I feel like I need to buy a whole new doll to display it! But my collection is sort of bizarrely lacking in beach dolls, maybe when I get more girls wearing nothing but bathing suits I won't mind redressing them in something a little fancier. (We'll see...I said the same thing about the Fearleading ghouls, yet in their little uniforms they stay!  )  I know!! I was PLANNING to have an extra DOTD Clawdeen and Frankie to redress in the soccer and fearleading outfits, but I never grabbed a 3-pack when they were at Walmart, and now they're gone. I kept hoping that they'd go on clearance because they didn't seem to sell that well. Oops. Lesson learned. It's a shame too because DOTD Draculaura was really cute. I just can't bring myself to buy one from a scalper on eBay. I'm not about to encourage that practice.

Wystearya, Spectra's outfit is amazing! You did a fantastic job on it. I have no talent at all for sewing or accessorizing so I keep my girls in their original outfits. It's really neat seeing what some of you guys do with your dolls. I actually would like to redress some of mine in the new outfits, but I hate to have spare clothes lying around. I'm tempted to buy extra dolls just so I can have models for them all. But given how hard they are to find, I doubt that'll happen anytime soon. And as for the new dolls, I ADORE DDG Operetta. That look suits her perfectly.

I'm still shopping for a couple more reasonably priced ponies for my partner, and then extras. I should bake something. Hmmm.... what to make.... Wrist circumference... er... I have no idea.  I don't have a measuring tape handy. I do know that I have teeny tiny wrists, so anything that fits a kid would most likely fit me.

I'd also agree that it's probably a good idea to rent for a little while to check out neighborhoods before you buy. Good luck!

Another update: So I keep a tab open for Zoolert, right? I go to check on it. No Cupid, same as always. yadda yadda. Well I clicked on the Walmart link and the site said that they had her in stock in my store. So I was like "YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" and my sweaty hand dialed the phone number for the store...I swear to god, I got put on the phone with the rudest woman possible. I said "Hello. I saw online that you have the Monster High Cupid doll in stock in your store. I was wondering if this was true? "
And she literally says "Yeah that don't mean nuthin' hold on. "
Three minutes of silence. And another nice woman gets on the line. I ask her and she actually checks for me and says that they just got a batch in. She tells me that they will put her on hold for me in the gun section. Okay so I I thank the woman and rush to Walmart. When I get there, I go to the gun section and I ask the man behind the desk if they had a doll on hold for me. He says yes and he literally walked me over to the doll section and pointed at the dolls. There were a few Cupids but oh my gosh, you can't even hold a freakin doll for me? What if a scalper came by and snatched all of them before I could get there? Keep in mind = The gun section is about TEN FEET from the doll isle.
What is it with Walmart? I swear.
BUT OMG YAY CUPID.
Wow. >.< That's the reason I never even bother calling, because I just assume everyone's too lazy to actually check for it. I FINALLY had a bit of luck yesterday. The bf stopped by a new Walmart on his way home last night, and brought me Nefara as an early Valentine's Day present!! She's sooooooo pretty.  I just love the teal and gold color combo. Now to keep stalking for the new outfits and Operetta. I feel like I have to get ALL caught up before the new dolls start showing up!

OMG! I am totally in love with Venus McFlytrap, Rochelle Goyle, and Robecca Steam!!!  I adore Robecca's blue hair and Rochelle's horns. I think they all look fantastic. I can't wait!!!! I just really, really, really, really hope Mattel starts ramping up production so they aren't so hard to find in stores anymore. It's killing me that I'm not even caught up on the current releases yet!

satinslipper is the admin over there. As far as I know, all new member approvals have to go through her, and she's very busy. I posted a topic at the TP lettings the mods know some members need help with their accounts, and linked them to this thread, so hopefully it'll all be resolved soon!

My walmart was wiped clean of all Monster High. They had a sign posted that said that due to unforseen inventory issues, they will not be carrying Cupid, but will offer other 1600 dolls for that price. I wonder if the scalpers really hit my area and bought them all out before the ad. I'm glad I was able to buy one here, but I feel really bad for all the girls who'd love to own her but won't be able to because of greediness. 
It's just shameful.
Every store I called the other day told me they didn't have *any* MH dolls... I don't know if the employees were all too lazy to really look or missed them or if they were serious. But it is stupid to not have a single MH doll if they carry the line!
I might make a trip out to my Wal-mart after work today just to see if they have anything in stock. If I can find Cupid I will try to grab a couple so people here can get her! <3
It's just crazy how popular these dolls are! I swear, if you don't get to the store RIGHT as they're stocking the shelves, you're out of luck. I'm with you Crimson, I waited on the DOTD 3-pack and now it appears I waited too long. I might buy it on eBay, but I'll have to wait a few more weeks. And new dolls are great, but what good are they if you can't even find them? I really hope Mattel starts ramping up production to meet all the demand.

I have quite a few of them, but I haven't bought any in years. The price has skyrocketed! My first few cost around $20-30 and I think now they're around $40-50. You can look and drool at the website. I've thought about getting some more, but between collecting ponies and Monster High dolls, I think I have enough hobbies.
