Pony Corral / Re: 35 Anniversary Collectors ponies - Thread 3!

My hubby ran to a Target that is about 20 ish minutes away from us (I believe we have six total in the area) and he found Trickles, Confetti and Tickle. No sign of Flutterbye. I went to our Target tonight and they still had the sitting Earth ponies. Someone had bought out the collectors and first wave rainbows again.

None at the two closest Targets to me. The one says they are not going to restock them. My favorite one has been continuously restocking the first few lines and they sell out each time, so people must be interested. Unless it is the Ebay jerks :/

I hate the new designs, so does my six year old daughter. We really liked the originals :(

I'm not sure if these have been found yet, but as I was out looking for the set with Applejack, I came across the new Rainbows!! They had all but Starflower and Pinwheel..

Awwww, so pretty! I have been stalking Target and no luck yet. The guys there have been so helpful. One opened four cases of ponies to try to find them for me, but they were all the first wave of rainbows.

Just the same ones (Parasol and what not).

My Target told me they were getting a new shipment of ponies today, so my hubby got up early (even before me) and went to see if he could get them for me. They opened several boxes but they were all the first wave rainbows :( Hey at least they are still getting them in and people are buying them. That is a good sign, right?

SO HAPPY!  I randomly dropped by Target this morning on the way to the office, and they had all the ponies!

The weird thing was that they had the Rainbows out in the "retro" interior end-cap area (god that area is hard to find, it's amazing any ponies EVER sell)

But then I saw the NEW sitting/BowTie & Applejack ponies waaaaay on the end in the back just pushed into the area where they have a wall of baby toys!  I guess the employee got tired or didn't know where they go?  It was lucky for me the entire case worth was still there :D

YAY!

YAY! Congrats! I hope to find the new rainbows soon.

My closest Target (there are four in my area) restocked the sitting ponies/earth ponies again, but none of the rainbow unicorns. I cannot wait to get my hands on those beauties. My daughter got Bubbles last night. She buttered me up by saying Bubbles was her favorite ;)

I have never owned a flutter pony, how exciting! I think my daughter is going to lose her mind for those for sure!

I got Bubbles, Seashell, Bowtie and Apple Jack today - Woot! The odd thing is I was at Target twice yesterday (don't ask) and they were not there. This morning I popped in for a latte and my son insisted we go back and look and we did and there they were! Anyone know when the rainbows come out? Have they been spotted in stores yet?

I would love to see the MGR re-released, but make them a lot fancier.

The Pretty Parlor is the most iconic to me followed closely by the stables. I loved the Lullabye Nursery too, but I am not sure how iconic it was. Never had the Dream Castle or played with it.

Our Target still has the other waves including the original six. None of the new ones yet!

My dad seemed to like them? Perhaps it had to do with growing up in the depression or maybe he was an odd duck. I liked them as a kid but I certainly grew out of it!

My Popop (Grandpa) really liked them. I could never figure out why because they grossed me out.

I have sold off my collections in the past and then a few years go by and I regret it. There are some items I will never be able to get back (like my Woosie custom MGR ponies and MGR Bubbles or my Aquilea plush Bubbles). If you are sure you will never want it again, and it is common enough to get back if you end up regretting it, I say sell it. If not, I would hang on to it. Maybe pack it away and see how you feel in a few months?!?
