Pony Corral / Re: Is this Pindot???

The big dots aren't but the teeny tiny ones in the pores of the plastic are. Not looking up close it tends to just look shadowy rather than obvious dots. Based on how dirty she is outside, I'd suggest opening her up to clean inside as well. I've never seen an externally grubby pony that was pristine inside.

I swear I sent you a message last week and was waiting to hear back but I just double checked my sent messages and it must not have been submitted because it's not there. I'll PM you right now though.

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: Need Help : Ebay abusive "import fees"
« on: April 05, 2018, 05:46:36 AM »
The Global Shipping Program is awful and benefits only Ebay.  I've had items sent well packaged only to have them remove all the protective wrap and have the item arrive broken.  A literal handful of foam peanuts in a box too big for the item! The seller gets to keep their money and the buyer gets a refund but that's one less vintage item in the world.  Occasionally I would ask sellers to consider changing their auction and sending it themselves.  50% refuse and the other 50% say they will but are unable to.  It use to be that you couldn't change the auction after a bid but I suspect that even that isn't possible now.  There is no combining packages for multiple purchases and they sneakily make it the default a lot of the time.

On top of that, I recently relented and bought an item through the program.  Of course it arrived damaged.  I bought a MIB item and whilst it did have minor damage on the listing, it was much worse on arrival.  I don't even know how it could have been ripped the way it was.  Ebay tried to debate that I paid for the item in the box and not the box itself so it wasn't damaged.  I informed them that I bought both in the listing and the condition of both were in the auction description, thus I paid for both things.  They said I had to get a partial or full refund from the seller directly.  The seller did give me $5 off the price I paid but also told me it should have been covered by the program.  So now the one positive of the program, taking the fall for damage, isn't even available.

It's absurd.  Utterly absurd.

This morning I was on the phone talking to a post office employee whilst still in bed. My cat heard that I was awake, jumped on the bed, came up to the phone and screamed "MEOW!" The lady obviously heard it because she stopped mid sentence and was just silent. I didn't know if I should apologise or pretend it didn't happen. I didn't say anything about it but I'd like to think it spiced up her day a bit. Getting yelled at by a cat instead of the customer.

That poor Rosette! She needs to send some of that hair to my Magic Hat.

I've never been sure if I should leave her as is or is I should add in the missing hair. I already have a bag of the hair to match for another project pony.

Petiiiiiiiiiiites :D I've been meaning to reacquire some myself; they're just so darn cute. Congrats on these, especially the MOCs.

Also that cat looks like the softest kitty in the history of kitties. ;o;

She is! Not only is she very, very soft but her fur is also very silky.  I've honestly never touched something so soft in my entire life.  Hard to believe but she was even softer with her kitten fluff fur.  She's just incredibly jealous of all the ponies.

Pony Corral / Re: Need Advice on a G1 Buying Opportunityange

Absolutely worth it just for Starswirl. Colourswirls easily upwards of $40. Bright Eyes is also one of the higher end Twinkle Eyes. The rest are probably in the $15-$20 price range so you'd be getting what you pay for. If you like that particular pony, it's a fair price. It's not a bargain but you may be able to haggle for a reduced price if you buy multiple.

"Seller didn't pack it properly" is like my motto of the year and it's only March. Such a tragedy but thankfully this one looks quite fixable since it's the edge. Gorgeous artwork on all of them.

I've started using Tinypic but it doesn't appear to have editing functions, even basic things like rotating images.

I'd be careful using Tinypic - they delete pics at random and they recycle URLs, so sometimes they'll delete your pic and replace it with some other pic (sometimes a NSFW pic) >_<

Oh gosh! Thanks for the heads up. I've thankfully only got a few photos there but I'll be relocating them pronto now.

Off Topic / Re: Are kids more destructive these days?
« on: March 27, 2018, 05:24:45 AM »
I think parents are perhaps more aware that childhood is short lived and kids don't keep their toys as long as previous generations. They allow kids to do whatever they want with cheap toys. it's better to wreck a $10 pony than the iPad or phone they'll be asking for in a few years. More often I see parents helping their children sell their toys so they can spend the money on whatever is their current favourite thing.

We're definitely in a period of getting rid of things no longer used so I imagine that less people are holding onto things for their own children.

I've been working on my Nursery Families set for at least 6 years and yet, the teal striped Perky Persian kitten is still missing from my collection.  It is the only one I am missing and I am desperate to own her.  If you have her for sale, believe me, you could not find a better home.

I somehow managed to get all of the big accessories for the NF even though I never intended to collect them.  I'm now only missing the white bath tub that belongs to the Spaniels.  I need this in my life.  Please sell me your tub.

If you have any of the small accessories for sale, I'm in too deep now to not buy them.

I'm meant to be saving money for my trip to the US for the MLP Fair in June but when life gives you a ton of petite ponies at a great price, you take it.

That's all 3 Ponytails MOC, 8 of the 12 Glowing Magic petites and 1 Bright Sight.  All the loose petites have pristine symbols which I adore.  Especially the mint coloured one with pink hair.  Her symbol is toothpaste and she is the colour of toothpaste.

My cat was not so thrilled about the attention being directed towards them however.  She laid right on top of the loose petites!

Hilariously though, the loose petites were sent in a medical specimen sample bag.  Diagnoses: cute as heck.

Just adding that the Family Ponies (Berrytowns, Meadowsweet and Sunbrights) would fall into the horizontal stripe category.  The pink stripe in particular seems the most likely to fade.
