Pony Corral / I need help washing (Solved Thanks)
« on: May 31, 2014, 04:26:36 PM »
My daughter was given 4 talking plush baby ponies from G3- and they are quite dirty. There is even one that looks like it soiled it's diaper O_O I want to wash them in some really good laundry soap and kill whatever is ailing them. She loves them and wants to keep them and I never have thrown out a pony, and I don't plan on starting.
Can anyone suggest how to really deep clean them? Can they be put in the washer if I take their talk boxes out?

Pony Brag Arena / I finally found something on Craigs list

Usually you find collectors selling off on CL, or you find crazy people selling ponies for crazy prices. But I lucked out. For 15 dollars I got ALL of this! The woman was extremely nice. The clothing and accessories (some aren't pictured as they are hanging in the laundry room to dry) will be  up for trade or sale. The Baby Shady, despite her being creepy BBE- her eyes are the bluest I have ever seen of a BBE. Clear as day too with no rust. None of these ponies appear to have been washed ever.

I had no idea there were boy ponies ever made until I started collecting. When me and my best friend Becky played ponies we usually played them out like "Grease- the Movie". Lickety-Split was Sandy (tho we used the pony names) and Firefly and Medley were the 2 big boys in town. Then when SS Hippity Hop and Confetti came into our herd, they were the big guys on campus. Shady and Party Time were the boy nerds of the school, shy and socially ackward. Posey and Wind Whistler were the best friends of Lickety. It was really a huge soap opera- prolly alot of it was suggested from watching Another World and Days of Our Lives as well as Grease.

Pony Brag Arena / A small treasure found
« on: May 29, 2014, 10:39:56 AM »
I was in California for work and I went to a Goodwill that was across from the hotel. I wandered through this store for a while, it was like a dollar general mixed with a thrift store- quite bizarre to me as I'd never seen one like that. Anyway I was about to give up digging through the shelves of toys that seemed to be just abused barbies and baby toys. But I saw some yellow hair sticking out from behind a scary baby doll. I got excited! I found a really dirty Dancing Butterflies, the poor girl was completely tangled and looked like she had a day at the mud spa. I carried her in my hand to make sure some little kid didn't snatch her and I paid 99 cents.
I took her to the hotel and scrubbed her as best as I could and her head popped off easily and I hung her on some clippy hanger so she would dry out. She still needs a good deep cleaning, but I didn't have a brush.
I am going to Vegas next week, hoping to hit some thrifts there when I am not working. Anyone live in Vegas and have some trades/sales?

I googled it-

I wouldn't give it to them, and it looks like you don't have to. Just google around and and see if there are options to not give such important information out. Over the years in sales I've had people tell me NO I won't give it to you.

Off Topic / Re: How to go about picking a pony for a tattoo?
« on: April 29, 2014, 08:53:46 AM »
When I chose the one I have I picked Bubbles from G1. When I was a kid she was the first pony I had ever seen and I swore one day I would own her. My mother looked for years at toy stores for Bubbles but never found one. So when I started collecting, she was the first to be bought off of ebay, and she was the first to be tattooed on my arm.
I think when choosing something like a tattoo of a pony, pick one that truly has meaning to you.

Redwall is a really enjoyable series. My husband watched them on youtube or netflix. The books are even better however.

I have been playing Diablo 3 (my brother bought me the expansion) and Sims 2 and sometimes 3. I have accounts for many other games, but my husband and son have been playing Diablo 3. Today we are most likely going to do co-op borderlands 2.
Hey Tribble, if you like I have some characters on Rift, maybe we can party up sometime.

I've never seen dolls like that, they'd be perfect for my daughter. I will have to see where to get them.

Off Topic / Does anyone live in Reading PA?
« on: April 27, 2014, 10:24:28 AM »
My job is taking me to Reading on Wens and I was wondering if anyone lived there and wanted to go to lunch or dinner sometime while I am there for the week. I won't be bringing any trades, but I will have some money. Maybe someone could show me where the places to go shopping are.
Thanks
Aine

After Reading I am going to Yura, Ca if anyone lives there. I figure maybe during all these work trips I could meet a fellow pony person along the way and make a new friend. ^.^

My husband and son added a bunch of the friend codes off that other forum so they could do the safari. But there hasn't been any responses to the friend invites.

I have a laptop when I am out traveling, so I been playing Sims 2, Tera Online and Minecraft. I am finally home from being gone a month and have been playing Borderlands 2 and Sims 3. We had to redo my computer, and I was so excited to see my sims 3 game have actual graphics!! I've had this computer for 4 years and service pack 1 never installed in the computer so my graphics card never worked right so I had square trees and some ugly glitches.

I just got my associates degree in Science, specializing in Medical Administrative Assistant, got board certified and all that fun junk, as of July.
For the last year, I have been a Walmart cashier, I make jokes that I get to wear the straight jacket while attending the circus while I am there. It's in the heart of a tourist area and people come from miles to shop at this particular Walmart because it's the best in the area. I honestly enjoy the job, but its wearing thin on my body, I have a bad back.
I was just hired by a company that will require me to travel around the US. I am super excited about that! It would be great if I had time to meet pony folks while I was traveling, but I don't think I will have time. :( They said my first location for training will be in Michigan sometime at the end of the month or early October.  I just hope they send me a schedule soon, I am tired of Wacky Walmart.
