Off Topic / Re: Generic vs name brand weigh in!

It totally depends on the product. A lot of foods generic/off brand is fine. Not the boyfriend's Kraft cheese though. He also tends to buy actual hamburger helper versus a generic version.

I have a certain shampoo I buy because it really treats my hair wonderfully. But I intersperse using it with generic suave shampoo so I don't use as much. Because I'm a cheapskate and it works well that way. Like, ever other hair wash or so I use the cheap stuff.

Computers... I'm an HP lover as I've never had problems from them while having had problems with lots of others.

But for the most part, generic or off brand is ok.

Beef stew MUST BE Dinty Moore though!

I have to comment because I saw this and went "I need to point Roccoriel to this... oh... wait, it IS Roccoriel."

It cracked me up! I will attempt some google stalk fu for you and also ask my step-dad about wader places since he fishes and duck hunts.

Haha! Well Mobile's at the other end of the state from where I'm from, but if you guys all get together sometime it will be a good excuse to go back home and visit AND come down toward the shore and hang out with pony peoples!

Lemon! What part? I go home fairly frequently to Huntsville, Al/Fayetteville, TN to visit family.

I grew up on the Al/Tn state line.

Belmont happens June 9th this year I think

Edit: Post time is 6:30 pm EST. TV coverage in the US is on NBC and starts at 5pm EST
Thank you!! I swear, it is so hard to find the time the race actually starts XD They want you to watch this like two hour long tv program before and after and I'm like just tell me 5 min before the race!!

Haha, no problem. I actually finally tracked it down on the Belmont Stakes webpage and it took a bit of digging lol

Good luck! I did that last year!

Though to be fair, Jay and I dated in high school and he had moved since then so we didn't really do long distance for long. Good luck!!!

Actually HavACrumpet452... The average age of death for a Preakness winner since 1973 is 19.9 years of age.

Of the deceased horses on only one (Elocutionist) is the reason of death not listed that I could find. The rest are of natural causes or humane euthanization (often due to old age)

People make far more money retiring these racehorses to stud and keeping them happy and healthy for years and years at stud than they do sending them to a slaughter house after a 'few years'

Isn't it still against the rules to charge buyers for ebay's fees? A small handling fee is allowed, like you're talking about CA... but I thought at one point it was EXPRESSLY forbidden to list ebay fees as something a seller charges a buyer for?

Excessive shipping and handling fees are against Ebay policy, period. Hope this gets straightened out for you!

He looks like he has a ton of Maine Coon in him. He's ADORABLE. Glad he's gone home with someone who will love him!
