Wow, TRU is going to end up in a situation where they are giving away a bunch of free stuff and people will cancel the backorder of the one at cost. They really did not think this through very well...lol

oh wow, auctions can be so stressful. I started just putting in my highest bid and making myself not check anymore. What always shocks me is when a BIN will be up for a while on an item and nobody buys it but that same item will go on auction and it will get bid up past the BIN price of the other. It just happened recently to me. I wanted one of those Blue G4 Fluttershy protos that were up and I was bidding on one. Well, it got up above $30 dollars and I went to check the sellers other auctions and she had BINs on those same ponies for much much cheaper. I try not to impulse bid on anything because if you wait long enough another one will come back around  (or the same one!)

Wow, they do look like Moondreamer doll look-a-likes. The only thing I remember about Amtoy is that they made Brush-a-loves which I had quite a few of. Hopefully someone else has had one!

Ahh Valkohai *hug* I don't think anyone was meaning to say anthing negative against you. I think it was just differences of opinions. It could also be a difference in where people live as well. I am not sure in Finland, but in the U.S. many parents watch cartoons with their kids and can get really into the things their kids like. I remember when my oldest sons were small my husband and I got into Pokemon and Yugioh quite a bit just because it was fun to see how much they enjoyed it. We weren't necessarily fans of either show really.

Anyway, that was funny and I hadn't seen it. I have been involved with and collecting ponies since 1982 and I still don't quite understand what makes someone a Brony or not lol. I just think it is cool to see so many people enjoying this line we all love :)

Keep checking back. They were out in Everett before and then got some more a few days later. Not sure about Alderwood but I will also check for you and let you know if I see any. I am at TRU constantly because I am always buying diapers for the twins. If you like, I could have them hold one behind the counter and then contact you.

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: Zecora TRU PreOrder Disaster.

Oh that is awful :( I have preordered from TRU 5 or 6 times in the past and had that happen 3 of those times. The worst part was 2 of those 3 times I got a follow up email saying the item was not available for shipping anymore. That just sucks :( so sorry everyone.

I picked these up yesterday. Got all four and thought I would have to buy something but nope! I even asked the sales associate since I was going through the self checkout but she was like "no barcode so looks like you can take them" whoot whoot! I might go back and grab a few more at that rate!

Pony Corral / Re: Did you ever take part in a mail order offer?

I remember sending away for the original set of 6 when they were re-released and one of the baby embers. I also sent away for a birthflower pony as well. I started collecting the G3s when they came out so I sent away for Dazzle Surprise and Sunshimmer. After that I stopped de-boxing my ponies so had no more pony points lol. I remember feeling like the ones I got as a kid took forever. The original 6 I swear took over a month but Dazzle Surprise came really quickly. Sunshimmer took longer but still probably within a couple of weeks if I remember correctly. I remember them selling out of her and a lot of discussion on forums from people worried they weren't going to get one.

Yes, I went through this during the last filing season as I sold my entire collection that year and *choke* went well over the $20,000 dollar limit. Feel free to pm me and I can go into detail about how it worked for me but essentially I was able to claim the value I had paid for the ponies originally as inventory so I really didn't make much if anything outside what I originally paid. You can also claim gas for shipping, cost of shipping supplies, cost of a camera if you use it for the sales and and so forth. I was freaking out because I had already filed my taxes and learned about it afterward. I had to do an amend but it all worked out fine. Again, feel free to hit me up. I am not an expert by any means and in your particular case it might be wise to talk to someone more knowledgable about what to do in your particular case. If you have any questions though I will gladly try to help :)

Pony Corral / Re: Met some awesome bronies on ebay!

I have had a wonderful Brony experience lately too! My oldest son who is 18yo has a friend who is just awesome. Well...my son had been friends with him for almost 2 years before he bothered to tell his friend I was a pony collector and he didn't tell me his friend was a Brony! Well, he finally told me and it was SUPER exciting because this kid adores ponies, especially Rainbow Dash. He had RD painted on his paintball gun and it looks amazing. I gave him a set of McD ponies and he gave me a RD bracelet. He sent me over his fanfic to read and loves to talk about ponies. How cool is that! :) My poor son cannot escape ponies anywhere now ha ha.

This is exactly what I meant by not being impressed with the quality in my thread about this set. It is horrible quality. All of the ones in my set except for Rainbow Dash and Nightmare Moon have dents. Nightmare moon has paint rubs and stray paint in various places. They are a hot mess. However, it is all water under the bridge anyway since my daughter took them yesterday and gave them haircuts *bangs head on laptop*. Somehow my husband thought it was smart to allow her to do art projects at the table with her ponies. He even acted shocked she did it (uhmmm...she is 3 years old!) So, they are dented and have new "stylish" hair.
