All right! I think I've got everyone who's mentioned going either herein or in the FB chat accounted for. If anyone needs to be changed to the maybe category, let me know! :D

Thus far, looks like August 21/22 is the winner, with Labor Day weekend a close second! Looks like we've 12 people accounted for and only 8 have voted for a weekend date, though! If you haven't given your first and second choices in the voting above, please do! It's open until June 15! :awake:

The rehairing part has me super excited and I'd love to help out with our shimmerlocks.com products if you all think it would be useful ^_^

...I'm going to need to make a list of the hair colors I already have before this meet, aren't I. The tool you show on your website is slightly different than the one I have, so a demo from you on it would be great! :D

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: Trouble with GeektasticDesigns (eBay)

Well, I went into eBay proper (instead of the app) and had to select “I did not receive” under more actions in the listing under my purchases. Seller gets to respond, and I can get eBay involved starting on the 23rd. If I get the ribbons, great! Since the listing was taken down, I’m assuming they ran out and never took the listing down. Especially given their silence. Requested my money back, we’ll see what happens.

Trader & Shipping Support / Trouble with GeektasticDesigns (eBay)
« on: October 14, 2020, 11:03:02 AM »
Hey everyone! Not quite a month ago I finally pulled the trigger and ordered some grosgrain MLP ribbons from Geektastic Designs on eBay. They were supposed to arrive on the 7th; I’ve yet to receive a shipping notification.

This past Monday, the listing went from open to ended in my watch list, which I hadn’t removed it from. I sent them a message asking for an update, and have yet to receive a reply.

One of my friends thinks I should get eBay involved, but it technically hasn’t been a month since my purchase, and I’m not sure how to do that anyway (it’s been a long time since I’ve needed it).

Thoughts? :awake:

Pony Corral / Re: Ponyticipation! Who is on the way to you?

Parking it here to wait for pics from Skand's packages.  No pending pony mail but my froggie shoes that I ordered in March finally came.  :)
Froggy shoes, you say?

Im waiting for the white mail order valentine twin from eBay. Most of my spare money is going to kickstarters and house repair right now, so it’s nice to get some pony mail in there, too. ^.^

Pony Corral / Re: what's the most you've paid for a pony?
« on: July 10, 2020, 01:35:58 PM »
For a single pony, about $45. That was my G1 Yum Yum. My most expensive pony purchase though was my Canterlot and Seaquestria castle for $55.
I Assume that's TAF Yum Yum? I don't think the flutter Yum Yum would go for that much.

I'm not finding the images I took on my phone. Maybe I'm misremembering the year? They weren't on a black/white background anyway, so I might as well retake them. Hopefully the color difference between the two sets will be more obvious with a black background. :)

High Tide's shell, and probably about 3-4 years, now. There was one conch that I still need too, but I misremember the color right now.

The only disappointment I have from pony mail is from my own folly. Back when I first started collecting the exclusive G1 ponies, I bought a large lot that also had some US releases in it that I didn't have. Including SS Wind Whistler! And she was so pretty! Nice pink hair, wonderful flocking--but there was a large splotch of what looked like cherry popsicle crystalized between her wings. Stupid me did not know that warm water will remove flocking.

Pony Corral / Re: Who Was Your First Big Brother?

... I want to say I wound up with all 6 of the first release at the same time, because of a birthday? I know I had them all (still do, actually), but my older brother was also playing with ponies at the time, so  maybe we started with only two? That or he got Steamer at a later time (he was into trains (and still kinda is), so~). If they were separate purchases, then I want to say either Salty, Slugger, or Tex, but I'm not 100% on that, either.

 Mountain Boy ponies Ice Crystal, Tornado, Thundercloud, and Sunburst. I have Fireball (albeit with a symbol flaw) and Lightning (I think? It might be Sunburst I have!). They're gone up in price so much in the 3 years I took a break from collecting. ^^;

Pony Corral / Re: Moving with a collection?
« on: July 09, 2020, 04:02:38 PM »
The only tip I have is, make a list of your boxes and a check list for packing them and receiving them, and for the love of everything, put your name on the boxes, in large marker! This goes double if you're moving with family, and especially if you're going to have roommates! Old friend didn't do this, and found out her MIB Barbie collection wound up unprotected, in a 3-season porch. She thought the boxes her collection was in were in her closet.

Also, if there's anyone in the family that's not on good terms with you helping you pack and you're getting rid of anything during the process, also label those boxes properly, so there can be no excuses of "I didn't know!" if the vindictive jerk decides to toss something you treasure. *side-eyes some of the posts on r/justnoMIL*

$400 for M/O Sweet Scoops. Hopefully that'll be the most I ever spend on a US release pony.
