That's not an error. She's dyeing her mane so she can cosplay as Moondancer.

That link isn't working for me. :( Such a shame, I'd love to see.

Coding error. It'll work now.

I thought I remembered his being from the "Pet Zoo" line...the warthog was purple and named something ridiculously hilarious, like "Tulip" or something. "Tulip the warthog"? Is that right? It was a loooong time ago!

Yep.

I don't like the hair, but I think they've finally found the ideal level of bling with the decorated hind leg only and the subtle glitter eyeshadow, and keeping the facial mark the same color s her primary cutie mark.

Ah, yes. Who can forget the beauty of that timeless friendship we witnessed between Applebloom and this one guy she tried harassing into buying apples once?

I don't really see the point of a black variation Discord if they're going to color all his limbs and add-ons normally anyway. My opinion on the clothed ponies is similar but less emphatic. I'm in love with the black Rarity, though. She reminds me of Nightmare Rarity from the comics, which is a character I'm pretty sure they created just because it would looks so cool.

Between the coloration and the hat, it's funny how much the Daring Do prototype looks like Applejack.

Customs / Re: Doll hair. Any prep needed before I rehair?
« on: May 09, 2014, 03:28:18 PM »
After you cut it down (or before, but after is easier), give the whole hank a gentle comb-through. You're going to lose what looks like a lot of hair to tiny tangles, but it's really not that much (and you're likely to lose more if you let it stay and try to sort it out while splitting the plugs). If it's being staticky or flyaway, give it a little spritz with water to tame it down. Other than that, you really don't need to do any prep.

That actually makes me like Fluttershy's new eye shape.

I hate this smell, honestly. Can't stand anything with even a hint of baby powder to it. But for those of you who don't, find yourselves a specialty grocery store with a good stock of Torani syrups. I sampled their honey vanilla a while back, and my immediate reaction was "Oh God, it tastes like an 80s toy smells."

A smiling little old lady with round glasses, big white hair, and way too much eye makeup.

The prototype Shining Armor has Hoity Toity's coloring and accessories. Repurpose them for him, Hasbro!

Thank you, everyone!

And the antlers are so intricate, did you use a wire structure inside them?

There's a guide wire running up the core of each one, but the points are freestanding (and very fragile; I was on tenterhooks for the entire time he was in the mail). I realized after I posted this that I had intended to include a link to my Livejournal entry of in-progress photos, so here it is now.
