I’m good at problemsolving. not IQ test problems, but more looking at a problem from different angles and looking for solutions even though the first 15 fails. I’m also fairly good at holistic thinking, which is a big part of my problem-solving skills.

I’m also quite good at photography. Not like I’m a photographer or doing sought after photo art, but it’s easy for me to take a picture that looks good with lighting and positions. I like it too!

I’m a good driver! I like to drive and I am very good at it. Not in a fast and furious way, but in a “I feel in control and my passenger feels safe”- kind of way.

I’m a very good listener. I’m usually a likable person, and I’m good at relations (in a professional setting). I am able to convey criticism in a way that most people can accept and I rarely get emotional in a work environment. That can also be a weakness though.

I’m not very detail-oriented, and I struggle with routine-work. I’m a huuuuge procrastinator, and I don’t like (or follow) rules I don’t understand.

I’m not good at dealing with emotions, especially my own (others are okay!). I usually tend to hide them away instead of dealing with them, which never turns out great.

I’m bad at math. Really bad, and struggled with it all though school. I’m terrible at downhills skiing, and speed and extreme risks scare me terribly. I’m not good at cooking, most I make get burned due to my lack of attention and patience.

And what about an overlap with other cartoons/shows from the 80s (the time period in which ponies started)? I would LOVE to see She-Ra, He-Man, Rose Petal Palace, Popples, Lady Lovely Locks, Pound Puppies, etc. ponies. OMG I'm just so excited thinking about that. LOL

I would love this! Lady Lovely Locks overlap would be awesome. Popples too! Or Keypers, CARE Bear, Rainbow Brite or Strawberry Shortcake

I just got tingles when I read this! What a great idea.

I know! Me too

Sanrio!! Also I'd only want a care bear pony if it was Noble Heart Horse.

Sanrio for sure! My Melody was my fav character!

Little Twin stars would be really cute! Newborn babies, one as the boy and the other as the girl

I never had the LPS as a kid. Always thought they came later, but recently I discovered the Kenner LPS and they are adorable! Really cool - I would have loved them, but I have absolutely no memories of them as a kid. Maybe they didn’t sell in Norway?

It’s strange- how we change with the years! For me, I think it was a part of how easy/difficult the ponies were to play with. That is not so much a prerequisite anymore so now other ponies increase in popularity I guess.

Pony Corral / Ponies as a child vs ponies as an adult

I was looking through my collection earlier (it’s not on display so I’m shuffling through it once in a while) and it got me thinking. I grew up with G1, born in 1982 and I loved ponies as a kid. But I had some favorites and others I almost never played with. For me, the ultimate pony was my sister’s Gusty and baby Gusty. I’m from Europe, so we didn’t have the BBE babies. I loved everything about the Gusty’s. I loved the pose, colors and symbol. They were the best ponies out there. I got baby Glory as a substitute and she was a good substitute. Unicorns were special to me, and the white ones even more so. The baby unicorn pose was beyond cute and easy to play with. Gusty’s pose were also the best adult pony pose. The first pony I had to have as an adult were baby Ribbon and Gypsy. They had both been on my wishlist since I was a kid. Glory came in as a third pony I had to have.

But as an adult I find myself loving ponies and poses I NEVER played with as a kid. I love my CP Bowtie from childhood even though I never really liked her as a kid. Now she is one of my most favorite ponies. The same goes for Posey and her trotting pose. Now, I like the CP and trotting pose much better than Gusty’s pose. And even though the baby unicorn pose still is a huge favorite, I fell in love with baby Blossom and her pose as an adult. I love that pose, and so many of the baby ponies that have it. I find myself looking at ponies differently and ponies I never liked (probably because they were difficult to play with) I now really love!

Is it the same for anyone else? Have you changed your mind about ponies from childhood to adulthood? Or is it the same? Do you still have your number one pony from childhood as your number one today?

Awesome! This is really good :)

I just spotted one thing; it says in «other releases» that baby ponies such as baby Glory, baby Moondancer etc were sold on card in Europe. And that those ponies had non-glittery symbols. I have a childhood Baby Glory bought on card, but WITH glittery symbols. The carded babies also had glitter symbols, but not all of them.

I’ve never been succesful either, but I think I live too far north to have enough sun. It takes forever, and the results are less than satisfying. But practice makes perfect ;) At least that’s what they say, right?

I have a few Poseys with varying symbols and shades of hair. The hair fades due to sunlight and can end up white, same with the symbols. One of my Poseys has dark pink tulips. She was sold as part of a set in the UK and a different set in Europe, but not in the USA:

Yes, I know about her- and see her regularly (I’m from Europe!). I have the one with light pink symbols. She was sold in the set with collector pose Bowtie and AJ. But that versjon is the same as early version in the US. The Posey with magenta tulips I think is from the same set as Truly and Cupcake? I think there is a theory that they were released instead of So Soft ponies, and that is why her symbols are darker? I’m not sure, but I have lot of infos on these releases in Scandinavia as I did some research a couple of years ago. I’ve forgotten a lot though

I love her pink hair, and is not that interested in the faded versions of her although some of them are quite beautiful. Do you know if there is a blue Posey? Maybe I dreamed about her, but I would love it if She excisted!
