I’m no pricing expert- but I usually use bluerose’s price guide as a starting point : http://www.angelfire.com/oh5/bluerose9978/PRICE/

I think it is difficult to price them WITH accessories. They usually don’t fetch more because of acessories ( with the exception of flutters of course).

Good luck with your sales!

And by flutter accessories, do you mean their wings?
I'm actually thrilled because most of the flutter ponies I have still have their wings attached, and most of them have their combs/ribbons. The ones I have actually have with UK stickers too :D

Pony Corral / Re: PRICE CHECK pony merch
« on: July 22, 2019, 01:57:46 PM »
The fact file was sold through mail order and only in the UK. Also only in 1987. It goes up and down wildly in price depending on who is looking for it at any one time. I've seen it as low as £20ish and as high as £70ish in the last few years. If it's complete and intact without the colouring in pages being coloured and stuff, it might get a higher price. I haven't had one for sale or trade myself for about 15 years or so, so an exact market price right now I'm not sure of. But the condition and how complete it is matters. There are sections and the sections have lists of pony names which you can check the pages alongside to make sure they're all there and in order if that helps.

It's one of those special sought after items with very limited release, but its price really does fluctuate like mad.

Also - do the dutch comics contain photo adverts for pony stuff?

The comics do not contain photo adverts! I do have some regular english pamphlets and dutch pamphlets that are all photo adverts...

As for the fact file. It's complete (i just checked). Its state is perfect, no stains or marks. All the pages are intact, the plastic on the front looks neat. And none of the coloring-pages have been colored either.

Ahh, a Totsy! I personally adore them (although they definitely are a bit creepy). They always look like they're scheming up some mischievous prank >u< Lovely Embers as well!

It does say Totsy on its hoof!! I think they're incredibly creepy as well

-European white Tootsie (with all their accessories)
-Gingerbread (with a peeled sticker and all her accessories)
-Medley (with all her accessories)

Pony Corral / Re: Sticky ponies?
« on: July 15, 2019, 02:20:37 AM »
Have they been stored for long periods in plastic storage boxes without being opened? Last year I had to air out a bunch of my G3's because they were sticky and had been in storage without being opened for far too long (at least a year or longer). You can try wiping them down and then leaving them out in the air for a few weeks. Airing toys out (for me at least) tends to reduce the sticky factor of some types of toys, others remain just as sticky (G1 pretty parlor cat Twinkles for example) just depends on the toy.

They've been stored in cardboard boxes for a really long time. Some have turned out to be easier to wash off and unstick than others.

« on: July 14, 2019, 05:55:43 AM »
I've found bluerose's list but it says those are for ponies without their items in good-near mint condition (and for flutters that are missing wings)...

First things first... If a pony has all its original items, how much does that usually add to its worth?

List of ponies that I have no idea how to price:

-Princess ruby (Small part of symbol broke off)
-Curly Locks  (with some discolouration spots)
-Baby Moondancer (discoloured body)
-Baby brother apple delight (Some glue on his neck)
-Shady (Neck a bit damaged and missing a few spots of fluff)
-Twilight (Neck a little loose)
-Parasol  (spots on leg)
-Baby Bowtie (marker spots)
-Sunbeam /glittery symbols/ (discoloration on hooves and symbol)
-Windy
-Italian Snuzzle Variant II (spots)
-Minty (spots)
-Baby Ribbon  BBE (discoloration)
-Galaxy (spotty and sticky)
-Moonstone (glittery symbols)
-NBBE  Baby Cuddles (broken stroller)
-Skydancer (spotty)
-Scoops (marker spots and discolored body)
-Sweet Stuff (marker spots and kind of sticky)
-Baby Cotton Candy (marker spots)
-Bluebelle (dirty spotty hooves)
-Sea star (with floatie)
-Backstroke

In mint condition:

Baby Ember
Baby Fifi(sticky)
Baby Tic-Tac-Toe
Baby Tiddley-Winks
Barnacle(sticky)

Pony Corral / Re: Taking Pictures of ponies question
« on: July 13, 2019, 11:47:42 AM »
Lightboxes can easily be made yourself! But I think they're a bit hard to use. (too bright)

I like to take my pictures by a window when it is still bright out (but cloudy) this mostly works for small items, though..

Pony Corral / Sticky ponies?
« on: July 13, 2019, 09:19:34 AM »
A lot of my g1 ponies are incredibly sticky. (mostly the twinkle eyed ones, I think?)
I've washed them with warm water, but it didn't help at all...
I heard that their plasticizer is breaking down, and that the flaw is in the ponies and not the environment. So, are they worth less if they are sticky but otherwise in mint condition?

Is there any good way to clean them?
